Loved this mountain getaway! As long as you are prepared to climb stairs, this will probably be one of the best mountain getaways you can find that is reasonably priced and centrally located. Loved our time there.

This cabin was wonderful and had everything we needed. The Palmers were very responsive to all our questions.

This a great cabin in the main downtown neighborhood of Shaver Lake. It was a rare late snow storm in Spring that brought lots of fresh snow where there were only patches left before. Our host, Christian came out to snow plow the driveway for us and got the cabin warmed up for before we arrived. The cabin itself was very clean and well kept with a thoughtful layout. You can tell the hosts use this cabin for their own as well as a rental, as it is not generic, but homey. It's got a very well stocked kitchen, board games, books and plenty of blankets. We will certainly return for our future Shaver summer and winter vacations.

Our stay was exceptional. This cabin was cozy and comfortable. The hosts were very responsive to questions I had prior to our arrival. The cabin was very clean and well appointed all the way around. The beds and sofas were all comfortable. The linens and towels were clean and I appreciated extra blankets to cuddle up on the couch. . The layout of the cabin allowed all 5 people to enjoy their own space while still enjoying time together. Everyone in our party was impressed with the cabin and looks forward to coming back. We had a great time here! The cabin was clean and cozy and check-in is super easy. The owner/host was so nice! The location is perfect to walk to one of the local restaurants. China Peak is about 25 minutes away. We would definitely stay here again.

Every year my husband and I take our family to Shaver Lake for New Years. We usually stay at a friend's cabin but they recently sold it. This was our first time using VRBO, I was very hesitant but I am so glad we gave it a shot. This was a wonderful experience. The cabin was as described (actually better in person). It was clean, cozy, had everything we needed and more. Check in/out was smooth. Hosts were very nice and available if needed. We actually woke up to a winter wonderland this morning so much snow. We were nervous pulling out but the neighbors were so friendly and helpful. This was a wonderful place to stay. Thank you again for sharing your lovely home with us. We hope to stay again sometime.

Our project for Southern California Edison was delayed and we were unable to use the facilities.

This place was absolutely beautiful, the locations, neighborhoods and walking distance to everything that you need. The place was very clean and was accommodating for our family of 5. You will not regret staying here, just like all the reviews said, it’s a five start cabin.

We liked it. Very clean. Very cozy. Well stocked with everything that is needed. A couple of things to note. If you book in the summer months there is no A/C. Got a little stuffy inside but not terrible. Also, if you are over 5’6” tall the shower can be challenging. I am 6’3” and the shower head was hitting me square in the chest. Overall very pleased. There was a water issue with the town (not the owner’s fault) and he reimbursed us fully for the water we had to buy to make coffee, etc. Cool move by him. Much appreciated

Everything you could ever want, but I really don’t want to rave about what a great place it is, in the event I won’t be able to book it when I want to next time. Selfish, I know😀

Beautiful cozy cabin amongst the pine trees. Great front deck with a nice view and great back deck with a nice view. Plenty of games inside which we took advantage of, an overall relaxing and comfortable time. I would love to stay there again in the future. Mark/Maria/Sergio/Ronnie

Really enjoyed the property. The cornhole and swing out back were wonderful. The cabin is very comfy and inviting. Only thing I would say is the stairs up to the second story are a little steep and the water heater only has enough hot water for a couple short showers, so if you have a large group, you'll want to stagger your showers accordingly.

I recently had the pleasure of spending a wonderful Mother's Day weekend at the Lazy Lady cabin in Shaver Lake. The Lazy Lady is a super cool cabin - cozy and rustic, yet also modern and well-appointed. It had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and a cozy family room. We particularly loved spending time on the decks and just hanging out. We enjoyed the tranquility of the surroundings and in the evenings relaxed on the decks, played some corn hole and listened to the sounds of the forest while gazing at the stars. Overall, I highly recommend the Lazy Lady cabin for a relaxing and rejuvenating weekend getaway. If you're looking for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, this cabin is the perfect choice!

Spent the weekend with my partner and some friends here and had a great time. The cabin is in a great location and is set up nicely for small groups. The two fireplaces were a plus and kept it plenty warm. Overall a great experience!

My family recently had the pleasure of staying at the Lazy Lady and I must say it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The cabin was cozy and welcoming from the moment we stepped inside. One of my favorite features of the cabin was the stunning view of the surrounding forest. Whether we were warming up by the fireplace or enjoying a cup of coffee or hot cocoa on the front deck, I was constantly in awe of the natural beauty that surrounded me. In addition, the cabin is really close to town and was a 1 minute drive, 5 minute walk to the nearby stores and restaurants. This was really great for exploring the town of Shaver Lake. The cabin was also well-appointed with all of the amenities I needed to feel right at home. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything I needed to cook meals, and the beds were comfortable and inviting after a day of playing in the snow. I would highly recommend the Lazy Lady to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in a stunning natural setting. Whether you're looking to unplug and unwind or explore all the outdoor adventures the area has to offer, this cabin is the perfect home base for an unforgettable vacation.

My husband and I took our two sons (8 and 11 yrs) to see snow and stayed at the Lazy Lady. The cabin had everything we needed, stayed very warm despite the heavy snowfall we had and gave us a great family experience. No cable or wi-fi gave us more family time together. The walk to West Village was super easy and we went to Shaver Pizza which I would recommend! We paid $15 for a sno-pass and drove a short distance (11 miles) to Coyote sno-park, which was awesome! Did not need to go to China Peak for the kids. Definitely would come back, maybe next time in the summer to play at Shaver Lake. Thanks Christian and Carrie!

The cabin was perfect! The resort didn’t end up opening all weekend at all but we made the best of it and really enjoyed our time here! Christian had everything ready to go and was shoveling the driveway shoveled when we arrived! We definitely recommend the Lazy Lady to anyone looking to come here in the future!

This cute cabin was perfect for our getaway. We live in Clovis but love staying away from home. The kids said it felt like home. The owners are amazing worked with us when the storm and road closures. Was able to reschedule and celebrate my husbands birthday at the cabin. Such fun games, movies and everything we needed. Our family of four had a wonderful ski vacation! Thoughtfulness is infused into every detail of this adorable cabin. Cozy blankets, clear check-in instructions and a spotless cabin made our arrival spectacular. The cute kitchen has all the cooking gear you will need, and local restaurants are just a five minute walk away. The video and book selections were a hit with our teen and ten year old. You can tell the libraries have been thoughtfully curated with a range of ages and preferences in mind. We highly recommend this one!

This cabin is fully stocked with everything you could need! We made part of our Thanksgiving meal here and we were able to find everything we needed (that we forgot from home). The rooms were great, clean towels for all guests, plenty of room for everyone. This cabin was fun for the kids outside! Loved the ski lift chair swing! There was just enough snow for the kids to have fun and if we weren’t so busy we could’ve walked right into town. The only tricky parts were the driveway which was just a little tricky to get into and 27 stairs up to the cabin, but the hosts gave great instructions for those things and everything else. Very pleased with our stay! Thank you!

Only down fall is having to climb up and down the stairs, but once you get everything you braught inside the rest of the experience is great! No weird vibes from the place the entire time. Great views from all around the decks and every level in the house. Place seems to hold heat very well.. I am a very critical person in how I like my living place to be and I had a hard time finding things to improve lol. I'd recommend asking the owner if there already is certain items available before buying or bringing because there was lots of common household things already there! Would love to visit again but with lots of snow.. The private driveway looks like it wound make a nice path for sledding!

My wife has been to shaver plenty of times before but this was my first time as well as our children’s. I’d like to start off by saying shaver lake is absolutely beautiful including all the people there. The cabin was more than we could have ever dreamed! Extremely clean, all prepared for and entertaining to say the least. We packed for stuff we didn’t realize we even needed! They had everything that was essential. We will definitely be staying again next year! Thank you so much for welcoming us into your cabin! See ya next year!

We have stayed here twice and we really enjoy this cabin. The place is well appointed, very clean and in a great location.
