We had really good time 😁

Our Family from Canada were in town and we wanted to take them to the mountains for a weekend. We all had so much fun. The house was amazing! The host was amazing and the views were amazing! We would give more than 5 stars if we could

The space was wonderful and the property manager was very responsive.

Based on previous reviews of this property, we had high expectations for this property. However, the home was subpar. The house was overall very dusty and dirty. We found dead worms under beds, mouse droppings in kitchen drawers, and ants throughout the kitchen and dining room. The bed frames were rickety, towel racks were broken, and one of the toilet seats was cracked. Walls and cabinets were beat up. The house was cluttered with outdated knick knacks that were often broken and collecting dust. Many lamps did not work and some outlets also did not work. This home has good potential but needs serious cleaning and cosmetic work.

Must stay if you are in Harrisonburg for anything

The Pros: Great location on Massanutten Resort on a quiet street. Wildlife everywhere, even a raccoon family in the back yard tree! Property Manager easy to work with. Layout was perfect and very spacious. Beds were clean and comfortable. The Cons: This property has so much potential! There were many items that needed repair (deck boards rotting, ceiling peeling in living room, broken items throughout, structural issues in basement) and could use a good paint job inside. The property was very dated and had a lot of clutter decor. Being in the hotel business I can recognize dated does not mean dirty, but in this case there were a lot of cleanliness issues (dirty upstairs couches, bathrooms had moldy areas, one bathroom has a lot of someone’s hair left behind, shower curtains need cleaning/replacing, window ledges and blinds need cleaning ). The place could use a really good deep clean. Hopefully these items can be addressed for future renters.

This place was perfect for our group. Very clean and spacious. Exactly as pictured online and would book again if back in the area!!

The property had more shrubs than pictures showed. The bathroom door to bedroom with double bed did no close. Its the one that also comes into the sitting area downstairs. The hot water was not hot enough only warm enough to not be cold. The place overall was good and we did enjoy our stay. We did not communicate with property manger only thru email.

The property stood out to me as soon as I seen it! Booking was easy the property manager responded quickly when I had a question! The property was clean and veryyyy nice and had a lot of space! I would book again!

This property served our needs well. The driveway was steep and could not easily accommodate 4 pickup trucks. It was perfect for two vehicles.

This house has plenty of sleeping space and comfortably fit our two families (4 adults, 5 kids). Good location and beautiful views.

Perfect for our weekend ski trip with the fsmily

We booked this property for a New Years family trip. There are plenty of beds and the location is amazing, however the property could definitely use some work and overall cosmetic updates. The garbage disposal did not work. The hot water only lasted for one person to shower so everyone else had to accept having a cold shower each day. The house overall could use a good coat of paint. The walls were quite filthy. The checkout instructions sent to email and listed on VRBO are different from what is left in home so that should be updated. Overall the resort itself is very nice and if you don’t plan to spend much time in the home it serves its purpose. Our family also rented a second nearby home which was in much better repair which is why this home has to have such a harsh review, especially considering the price point.

The property was nice. It suited our needs and everyone had plenty of rooms. Due to the weather there was some ice into the driveway but we were able to get in. A little dated, probably needs more kitchen supplies. Overall we had a great Christmas away. Thank you for allowing us to make memories in your home.

We had a very good time

Had family getaway for Thanksgiving and just to relax from our busy schedules. The house provided the perfect atmosphere for the kids as well as the adults. Plan on coming back to enjoy the area and all it has to offer. Hope this place will be available then also.

House was lovely, with lots of leisure room, and could easily fit a large family!

The house was great, very clean.

The property was nicely laid out with 4 bedrooms and each bedroom had it’s own bathroom. Plenty of areas for gathering and playing games. Enough kitchen space, utensils, and refrigerator space for party of 12. However, the property needs a little TLC. It was not clean when we arrived, some furniture items were broken, back deck door did not lock, the grill was dirty, many of the lamps did not have light bulbs or were burned out, one of the showers did not work, one of the TVs did not work, and the upper deck railing was loose.

Short on cookware and glassware for a party of 6 adults and 5 children. Deck and railing severely dry rotted. Refrigerator designed more appropriately for 4 guests than 11. Broken coffee maker, light fixture and towel wrack.

One thing I did not like was the gas grill was not clean to use , everything else was great. Close to everything to what Masanutten has to offer!

Our family of 5 adults and one teen age boy spent two nights at this lovely home. We were there for a high school graduation in Harrisonburg. The layout was great. Each bedroom has its own bath. It is clean and nicely furnished. The best thing about the property is it’s setting in the woods with a gurgling brook running behind it. Nice decks with great views off the back of the house. The upper deck has two grills, which we made good use of. It is an older home and in need of some TLC here and there but it was perfect for our needs.

We used the home for a family reunion. Great location, close to the resort amenities. The house was large enough for all of us, would suggest bringing activities for the teens if they don't enjoy outside activities. Our teens brought their cell phones and the wi-fi connection was strong. Would stay again if we're in the area.

The booking and experience was easy. The property was a beautiful escape.
