We are always in the lookout for the perfect beach house, and we might have just found it this year. We really enjoyed all aspects of our stay. The house was beautiful and well stocked, it was in a great location, and the property was well maintained. Our plans for next summer are still a little up in the air, but if we’re able to come back we would love to stay in this house again.

This was the third time our family has gotten together on a vacation at the beach, and this house was by far everyone's favorite! Kitchen had everything we needed, having the bedrooms with their own bathrooms added so much comfort and convenience for everyone. Lots of places to go off and be by yourself, and lots of places to gather as a family. We are so glad we found your beautiful home! We all raved about your house all week!

This home has everything you would need for all ages.

The house was perfect for our family. Layout of the house is great for a beach vacation. Each bedroom has it’s own bathroom, large kitchen and eating area, covered decks on both floors, plenty of seating on decks and great views. This couldn’t have worked out better for us. We’ve been going to Topsail since 1997 and this house was the best for our growing family. Thanks!

This is our 19th annual couples trip with the same five couples, and this house is one of our all-time favorites. It fit our group perfectly, and worked out so well for us to play games, have large meals, and spend time on the beach. We loved the easy bathroom access from the beach :). This was also our first house with an elevator, and that was so nice. We are hoping to make this our house every year!

Had a wonderful time. House was perfect. The elevator was perfect for our 89 year old mother. Also, the Oceanfront deck worked out perfectly for her. Made her feel like she was part of our daily activities on the beach without having to manage the unsteadiness of sand. Would definitely rent again.

First. Let me say Chad and Pam are wonderful. Not only did Chad and Pam answer all the questions that were mundane and a bit OCD; but Chad and Pam did it with grace. I really enjoyed myself and so did our family. Thank you! Added bonus this part of the beach has smooth sand and not sand that is very "shell-y." If you do have little ones, please bring a baby gate for the stairs and ask for the measurements. Ours was too short. The kitchen is well equipped but some "personal items" from your kitchen you might want to think about bringing are as follows: Crock Pot Good Sauce Pan Good Frying pan Good Stock Pot Besides that (that is only if you are picky) the kitchen has a Brita and a traditional drip coffee maker. If you have extras and don't want to pack them (non-perishable) I think it's nice to leave behind items like Zip Lock bags, Zip Lock Containers, Sugar packs, etc. I only suggest this because we do it when we have it. This is our third year staying in Surf City and this property exceeded our expectations. Perfect for our extended family of 16 (age 9-78!). Chad and Pam responded to all communications promptly. We can’t wait to stay here again!

Everything you ever wanted in a beach get-away.

This was an awesome house for a multigenerational family including my 87 yo dad who needed the elevator and his room on the same level as the kitchen, common area and porch over looking the ocean. It was well stocked and we felt like we had our own private beach!

This beach home was perfect for our family and we had a wonderful stay. The location was great and we were a very short drive to everything…grocery, gas, and local shops. The home was clean and well appointed. The linens were presented nicely and in good condition. Being right on the beach was great and the home has several hoses and an outdoor shower that we used daily. The layout of the house was perfect for us and having a bathroom in every bedroom was very convenient. All the furniture and mattresses were in great condition and comfortable. The covered decks were used everyday and so nice to watch the storms, eat meals, and enjoy the view while staying out of the sun. The driveway was large and fit our 5 cars including 3 big trucks easily. The owners were great and communicated with us when needed. We made countless amazing memories and hope to stay here again next year. Thank you for sharing your beach home with us!!!

The house was fantastic. It’s oceanfront and then some - SO close to the water. We’re a family of 11 and there were bedrooms & bathrooms for everyone. There was space to get away and very comfy space to be together. The elevator was key to moving my 76 year old parents and all the luggage & groceries up to the third floor. We hope to come back to Himmelstrand next year - what a great space! The hosts were very fast to respond to any inquiry and were very friendly & courteous. Our only critique would be that it’d be nice to have an outdoor grill and a second full size refrigerator. Being such a big group, we ate all of our meals at home.

This house was perfect in every way and was big enough to comfortably accommodate 4 families. It was extremely well organized and the level of detail sets this house apart from any other place we have stayed. Every vacation need and want was satisfied! Thank you so much for an amazing vacation!

wonderful house located close to some restaurants and shops!

For us, this was a perfect beach house. We have rented many times before in North Topsail and this was our first stay in Surf City. This was a "girls trip" with my 75 year old mother and two teenage daughters with two friends of theirs. The house is very clean, decorated just beachy enough, not over kill with kitschy beach decor but tasteful and bright. The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed for the meals we had at the house. One of our favorite parts that I did not expect to love so much was the sunning deck down at the beach. My mother hurt her foot as soon as we arrived so getting down on the beach wasn't an option but she was able to enjoy the beach down on the deck without risking trying to get down the stairs on the beach. For me, it was the best of both worlds, you felt like you were on the beach but not with the sandy parts. We were blessed with several days of perfect weather and the girls swam for hours and rested on the deck. The elevator is always a huge plus when unloading bags and groceries but also super helpful for my mother who has trouble with stairs. The living area on the second floor was really ideal to have two different spaces for the teens to watch movies on one floor and my mom and I had a quite space downstairs on the second floor. The little fridge/sink area on the second floor is perfect for storing drinks or snacks for that living area. The location was very convenient to nearby restaurants but not too close where it felt busy. We had a great time and really enjoyed the house. We had six in our party so there was more than enough room for everyone to spread out, I could see this house being great for larger families or groups. There isn't one thing I could say other than it was perfect!

The house is beautiful, with ALL of the amenities you could need. Every BR having its own Bath is a treat. The Elevator is a big plus. Having your own Beach access is exceptional. Our whole family had a wonderful time, made more great memories. Chad and Pam were great to respond when needed. We could not have ask for anything to have been any better. Dick & Carol

Small reunion of older siblings & spouses. House (including elevator access) could not have been nicer. Newly furnished & remodeled in many areas. Kitchen very well equipped and allowed for sharing meals. Access to beach couldn’t be better. First trip to Topsail, but certainly won’t be the last!

We had the most relaxing vacation bc this house is so well organized and set up for multiple families. We had three families with eight children under the age of 8 and one grandparent all under one roof and it never felt cramped or uncomfortable. The proximity to the beach is fantastic and the multiple decks make it easy for everyone to find a chair, watch the waves and enjoy the breeze. There are dozens of restaurants to enjoy within walking distance but with all of our little ones and such a large crowd we opted to order and bring food back to the house. For those wanting to cook at home there are multiple grocery stores with in a simple 8-12min drive and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need. The hosts contacted us upon check in to make sure everything was as expected and answered any questions we had within 5minutes. All in all this house was perfect for our family gathering and we would love to come back and stay!! Thank you so much!!
