The Beach Barn Cottage is hands down one of the best places we have ever stayed. Shannon has truly thought of everything and is a very gracious host. The home is beautiful. The beach is steps away and was safe enough for our pre-teens to go back and forth on their own. The linens, pillows, kitchen goods, beach toys, and outdoor furniture are all of good quality and not cheap. There were 10 people in our group. Our family, my brother’s family, and our parents. Plenty of space for all. It was perfect for the kids to “play”, hunt for shells and sharks teeth and shop. It was also perfect to relax, read a book, and just enjoy the ocean. We will be back for sure. Shannon was easy to communicate with and really made sure that we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. I would give this 10 stars if I could.

Early fall weekend getaway to NC shore. Property was beautiful and well kept. More space than we needed for a group of 4 which was great. Proximity to the beach and beach views were fantastic. Would highly recommend.

I can’t say enough about this beautiful property and what a great stay we had there. Shannon made the process so easy for us, including a precious little welcome gift and a bottle of wine. Shannon’s place is also very well equipped..and please note, the beds were amazing. The whole place was classy, cozy, CLEAN, and extremely comfortable. We loved it and can’t wait to go back.

We have stayed here for several years and love our time here. The location is great on a quiet part of the beach. Shannon has thought of everything with the renovation of her home, and truly wants guests to enjoy their vacation. I look forward every year to morning coffee on the deck watching the sun rise and listening to the surf. It’s a perfect getaway!

This house is amazing! I had a wonderful girls weekend with my daughters and daughters-in-laws celebrating my upcoming nuptials. The house was beautifully decorated and so well stocked - from the furniture, decor, kitchen items, beach chairs and towels - this house has it all. The mattresses and pillows were luxuriously comfortable. Extremely clean! And the location was perfect. Ocean views and on a dead end road. No crowds on the beach. The location is perfect! We wanted a house on the beach, and that we got! We really liked how private it was and quiet. It felt like we had the beach to ourselves. And the beach itself was beautiful and so was the water. The house was spacious and clean and had everything we needed. We can’t wait to go back!

We cannot say enough good things about our stay at Beach Barn. 5 adults and 5 kids ranging in age from 7-70 all loved this house. We appreciated the large variety of beach chairs, boogie boards, and toys for our use. In the height of summer vacation season we felt like we had a private beach out front, only sharing with the few other houses on the street. Wonderful communication with the owner and we took her up on many of her dining suggestions. We will absolutely stay here again.

We love this home!! This was our second year with our grandchildren, daughters and sons-in-law. Amazing house and incredible views!! Right on the ocean!! We're returning again next summer!!!

We loved so many things about this home, from the beautiful ocean view and privacy the dead end road gave us, to all of the gorgeous details inside the home. We rented bicycles and felt comfortable letting kids ride in front of house. One of our favorite spots was couch area on front porch, cushions were so cosy, even long enough for naps and afternoon with a book. The beds were comfortable and kitchen well stocked, including a pantry which we always appreciate. Items like light switches were labeled and there is a notebook that outlines all needed info, including local restaurants. There are several beach toys, chairs, etc for guest use and hose and shower for rinsing off. We walked to pier, watched fireworks from porch and had a great week. Shannon was a wonderful host. We would definitely recommend this beautiful home.

We loved the barnhouse! It was not only the perfect location on the beach but was the cutest home to enjoy time on the coast. We would absolutely come back here!

Our family had the most amazing beach vacation in this beautiful home! Shannon thought of everything…every room is renovated and beautifully decorated right out of a magazine. There was more than enough space for 6 adults and 4 children (age 1 to 5) and all the furniture and beds were extremely comfortable and clean. The car port under the house had so many beach toys, boogie boards and sand chairs. The outdoor shower was perfect after a long day on the beach and the private beach access was directly in front of the house (the beach was never crowded and we found so many shark’s teeth!). We loved seeing the lights on the pier and enjoying the beautiful ocean views under the covered porch during our nightly porch hangs. We also really enjoyed reading the story of the house and how it filled a childhood dream. We could feel all the love that went into making this house a home and we can’t wait to return!

It has a great view and the access to the beach was private and convenient. It was clean with lots of room and the appliances and devices were up to date. Even though it mostly rained the whole weekend we were there, we really enjoyed our stay. It was actually one of the best places we have stayed in Topsail. Hope to come back again soon!

The Beach Barn is perfectly convenient for us to go pier fishing. The house and amenities were great. The things I would suggest is the up keep of the back lawn and maybe overhead cover for the back porch. Great place overall!!!

This house looks like it’s right out of a magazine! Love the decor, and you Can’t get much closer to the beach! The house was nicely stocked. They have plenty of beach toys & chairs for guests to use. The beds were super comfy & smelled so fresh & clean. It was the perfect getaway for our fall break.

We (6 adults, 5 kids) just return from a weeks stay at the beach barn. It is clear now why this property has nothing but 5 star reviews! The property was beautifully decorated, the beds were all so comfortable, the kitchen fully stocked…just a few of the many things we loved about the beach barn. In addition, not having to worry about packing linens or towels was a bonus in my book! The owner was very responsive anytime we had questions and has clearly gone to great measure to ensure her guest leave with wonderful memories of their time at the beach barn.

We had an absolutely fantastic 2 week stay at the Beach Barn Cottage! We were so pleasantly surprised by every aspect, the photos in the listing to not do it justice. The home was spacious and very well stocked with a great layout. Every detail was thought of, down to the cart full of beach toys, chairs and umbrellas in the garage for guest use. We found the property to be very comfortable ... often beach houses seem to run hot with an AC that can't keep up in the summertime, that was not the case here. We loved the quiet street, and the even quieter stretch of the beach. This was our first time staying in N Topsail, and we were very pleasantly surprised by how much was available. It was an easy 10 minute drive to most anything we needed (over the bridge) to restaurants, fast food, groceries, and more. We would absolutely consider staying here again!

The Beach Barn is a wonderful vacation site. The house is so welcoming and comfortable! A well stocked kitchen and dining table for 10 added to our family mealtimes immensely! We had ages from 8 to 80 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beach access is a very short trip out the door and over the dune bridge! Definitely on our list of all time top favorite houses!!! We'll be back!!

This was the perfect stay! The house and finishings are stunning, the beds super comfortable, linens and towels are soft, and the location is so peaceful and quiet. We came with 6 adults and 4 kids (ages 14, 10, 8 and 6). It was so easy to get to the beach/ocean so we were fine letting the kids run back up to the house and get what they needed. I loved that we were on a dead end so there was no traffic. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of beach toys for the kids, including the sticky mits and tennis balls, soccer ball, football, kites and sand toys too. The bathrooms were nicely done with beautiful tile and vanities. The owner, Sharon, made the most of the space in this house. Communication with Sharon was so quick and easy. She made this rental process one of the best I’ve had on VRBO. Book this now because once more people find out about this house, it will be booked a year ahead!

Our family’s stay at the Beach Barn was phenomenal. The kitchen is very well stocked with small appliances, dishes, silverware and utensils. We were worried that the size of our family would not be accommodated for meals, but we had no problems. The house is beautifully decorated and spacious. Plenty of room for our family of 11. I loved the fact that linens and towels were provided. I really didn’t want to bring those with me and not real comfortable with renting. Most of our time was either beachside (with plenty of beach gear provided) or just lounging on the porch. What a great view of the ocean. We had a wonderful time. This well furnished and clean house is in the perfect location right next to the beach. The kitchen had everything you needed and more with plenty of beach items for the kids. We had the beach mostly to ourselves as we hunted for crabs and shark teeth.

We had an incredible time and absolutely loved the house. It was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. It was also perfect for more than one family as there was plenty of space and privacy. The beach is right out the front door! We enjoyed sitting on the porches and listening to waves, and only having to take a quick walk to go put our feet in the water. Check in/out was a breeze and the owners were helpful and responsive. They truly did an amazing job - we will definitely be back!
