The location was quiet and beautiful. We had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. I would love to stay here again.

The house was clean and cozy, super comfy beds. The only that could use some up keep was the outside was pretty dirty.

Cottage was super clean and great for my sons and I to relax for a few days. The dock is great for fishing and the beds were really comfortable.

We needed a “get away” from the holiday hustle and “real life” in general. The Green Heron did not disappoint. The house was the perfect size for us to relax, unwind and regroup to begin the new year! Upon arrival, we found the home to be clean, beautifully decorated and just as described in the listing. Because of the season, we didn’t use the outdoor amenities, like the boat dock, grill, outdoor shower, etc. The bed we used was comfy, and we were comfortable in general. The water pressure / temperature in the shower was great. Plenty of extra towels, blankets, etc. We noticed a high chair in the kitchen closet, a baby gate too, in case you have toddlers with you for your stay. We have grandchildren, so we noticed, even though they didn’t stay with us on this trip. The kitchen was well appointed with cookware, utensils, coffee pot, tea pot etc and we did cook a few meals during our stay. I am a quilter and used the dining room to sew a bit while we were there while my husband enjoyed the television / internet with Netflix, Hulu and Disney+ subscriptions. We will definitely consider renting this precious home again in the future.

Been vacationing on Lake Norman since 1989. The covered slip was a plus and also the no wake zone. The house was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities our family needed for the week. We enjoyed making pancakes on the Blackstone Grill!

The cottage is in a great neighborhood and fairly secluded, not like other places along Lake Norman. It was the perfect size for 2 adults, 2 teens and a younger kid. The kids really enjoyed fishing off the dock, every day, all day! The house has everything you need for your stay, including towels for the lake! We were grateful for all the amenities that they provided. One of the best surprises, the house is SO close to a mountain biking park. It is the perfect place to bike, trail run, hike and there is even a playground. The pickleball courts were pretty busy, but that is also a bonus! There is a pier to fish and a spot to launch kayaks, paddle boards or a canoe. Great location. Overall, we were extremely pleased with the house, the location and the amount of things to do in the area.

We had an absolutely wonderful (and most relaxing) stay at your place! It was a great location and all of the included amenities truly impressed us. Our kids enjoyed fishing and swimming off of your dock, and we loved having our family dinners on your patio (outdoor space with string lights was a bonus). Thanks for sharing your little gem and hopefully we'll be able to visit again!

We had a wonderful experience at the Green Heron cottage! Great location for everything CLEAN, QUIET, and so COMFY!!! Lakefront was great and we felt like we were at our own home! PERFECT!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Exactly what I was looking for! My boys and I had a great weekend on the water swimming and fishing. The house was perfect for us, although we were hardly inside. We can't wait to come back!

Our family spent 5 days visiting North Carolina and stayed at the Green Heron cottage. It was a quiet getaway, right on the lake with beautiful views. We are a family of four and had plenty of space. The amenities and interior decor were exactly as described. So cozy and cute! My only complaint is that the outdoor spaces (patio, stairs, etc) were not cleaned up from the winter months in time for our visit. We were close to the grocery store and we went to a few restaurants within a 20 minute drive. We spent some time in Charlotte as well. Our host was easy to access for questions and responded quickly. I would love to visit again in the summer to take full advantage of the lake and warm North Carolina weather!

Spent three days at Green Heron and loved every minute the house was well stocked with all the essentials and the cutest finishes. Jennifer was a very friendly and professional host.

I rented the property for the fall NASCAR weekend. It was relaxing to be away from the city and have a quite location to wake up and come home to. The host, Jennifer, is extremely kind and gracious. She made sure we had any essentials and answered all questions before and during the stay. Next time I come to Charlotte, I would love to stay here again.

Great place to stay for relaxation!

This property was very accurate with the listing! Cute and quant for our 5 girl weekend getaway. Away from town, in a quiet cove but not too far off the beaten path. The property was very clean, kitchen was equipped with the necessities, and the beds were very comfortable! We swam and paddled right of the dock, and enjoyed the evening sunset on the water. Our only complaint was the monstrosity of spider webs!! 😅 Although it is September, I get on the water there will be bugs but the spider webs were overrunning the outside amenities.

Beautiful cottage and location. Rented a pontoon boat which fit in the slip. Family had a great time fishing and boating. Great way to get the kids off their phones for a while.

Green Heron Cottage was the perfect rental for our recent trip to Lake Norman. There were so many thoughtful touches that really elevated our stay--pre-loaded firewood and kindling in the fire pit; ample oils, spices, food storage containers, and cleaning supplies; and great lake toys, including stand up paddleboards. We really enjoyed trying out the Blackstone outdoor griddle, and the picnic table area with string lights was perfect for a small family get together. We would definitely return to Green Heron Cottage for our next lake stay!

This adorable little home was perfect for our family of 6. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay...from ample towels to great water access. The only downside was that the single air conditioning unit for the whole house kept the upstairs cool, but the downstairs bedrooms stayed a little warm. Still, we had a great stay & highly recommend this property!

We just arrived home from our wonderful week at this lakefront home on Lake Norman. The home is far better than we ever expected and we would absolutely return in the future. The area of the lake upon which this house resides is so quiet and uncrowded. We rented a pontoon a s tubes for hours super close to the house. The paddle boards were a wonderful addition and the kitchen has absolutely everything one could think of. The home was immaculately cleaned with wonderful linens and towels. One of the best things was of all were all of the hooks available for hanging wet things. The only improvement that I could suggest would be an air conditioning unit on the lower level — you have to absolutely freeze out the upstairs in order to be cool enough downstairs in 90 degree days. All in all an amazing rental.
