When we started planning our visit to Holden Beach months ago we read such amazing things about Stellar Beach Reality & Rentals. We are people that read reviews. We watched the beautiful video that was posted of the home that we carefully selected. We were so eager to see the home we invested in this year in person. On a positive note the home (Keepin’ it Reel) is very spacious and the location is truly fantastic. The pool was a plus and shaded in the afternoon. We also never ran out of hot water. The process leading into our stay was also stellar, but that’s where it ended. We arrived on July 17th, to a dirty home, yet we paid a $500 dollar cleaning fee. The house didn’t even smell clean. I still question, if it was actually cleaned before we arrived. The home reeked of dog piss and no matter how much we cleaned, it didn’t help. The pool was covered in big clumps of black fur upon arrival. The furniture (inside & outside) and the floors were covered in black fur. We battled the fur all week, even in the kitchen. One bedspread upstairs was covered in fur. No one offered to have it cleaned for us. The sliding glass door lock in the bunkbed room didn’t lock, which I made management aware of and no one offered to fix it. So we used a pool stick to secure the door all week. When we arrived the dryer was not drying and blowing lint everywhere, due to a tear in the silver hose. Which we fixed and cleaned up ourselves, and sent pictures to management since it was a huge fire hazard and obviously it had been like this for a very long time. The car port area was covered in an abundance of sand when we arrived (which we cleaned) and the golf cart had sand all over it as well. We didn’t even use the golf cart this week. It’s a short walk to the beach. The elevator is very grouchy but flipping the breaker will reset it, and that saved the day multiple times. The AC went out on Friday and this was the icing on the cake (which is the one thing we aren’t upset about), because this is something that can’t be prevented unlike all the other issues I’ve mentioned. We will never select a “pet friendly” home again and we are pet owners. We are accustomed to much better customer service and companies that actually practice what they preach. People work really hard to afford a week at their “one big yearly” vacation. The lifespan of this home is going to be shortened due to the lack of oversight and care from the management company. It’s truly unfortunate.

Very clean and new, tastefully decorated, nice kitchen with everything we needed, great pool, close to the beach, easy communications with manager, overall a wonderful experience. Would come again.

What a stay!! We enjoyed Holden Beach (first time), but this place made the stay even better! Very clean property (had a feel as if it was just built), with plenty of space ( 4 adults and 7 kids age range from 16-3). We gave the kids the 1st floor and the adults took the 2nd! Very spacious! We had ZERO issues the entire time and throughly enjoyed ourselves! We most definitely will be returning!

This was a wonderful house very near the beach. Our stay was during a week where it was a little cool and the heated pool made all the difference in the world. We would definitely stay there again!

The house was great! Very roomy, well furnished, and comfortable. My wife and I, along with our three kids, enjoyed a long stay at this property and it was just what we needed. The location is great - it's further down the island which gets it away from some of the traffic and the beach access is right across the main street so you don't have to walk far to get your toes in the sand. Definitely recommend it! We were here in the off-season so quite a few places were closed but we highly recommend a few: Provision Company - great little "dive" seafood place across the bridge Mini Jalapeno - solid mexican joint Holden Beach Seafood - good selection and prices if you want to get seafood to cook at the house

We stayed at the beach house a week after the hurricane hit. Upon arrival, we struggled to get ahold of anyone to help us with check in. After we got in touch with Allie, she was immediately responsive and helpful. The house is beautiful and fully equipped for all cooking needs. The golf cart was great for quick trips to the general store. The house is a short walk from the beach, which was wonderful and we enjoyed the pool every day. Would definitely recommend for a family vacation. Plenty of beautiful and thoughtful touches.
