Great spot with plenty of room to chill out in your own space if you feel like it. Well stocked with kitchen equipment for cooking and nice book selection.

Seashells Penneshaw was very clean and comfortably spacious for our family of five. It is located close to a beautiful beach, close to the meeting place for our planned excursions and within walking distance to cafes and restaurants. We had an allocated carport space to park our rental car and we enjoyed many walks on the beach that had breath-taking views. It is also located close to where the ferry travels to and from Adelaide. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for our family.

Mark and Sally were friendly, accommodating hosts, personally welcoming us to the house which was all and more than we expected. Cleanliness was high, beds very comfortable and warm and the kitchen facilities were great. The garden would be a child's delight to explore and the multiple decks provided every chance to catch a warm spot to sit and relax
Very little to find fault with. If really picky, an extra bin bag would have been handy.

Sally & Mark are wonderful hosts. The house had everything we needed for 2 couples travelling together & we loved the additional touch of local products being provided in the bathroom's & laundry.
Would highly recommend a stay at Seashells.

The accommodation was very good. Location was fantastic 👌 .Everything was there, Linen was very good and also nice fluffy bath towels.

What a wonderful home to base ourselves on our KI stay. Mark, Sally and Bindi are friendly and welcoming hosts. The home is spacious with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Lovely linen on comfortable beds. Thoughtful additions like full length mirrors in most bedrooms (not sure about the bunkbed room), bathrobes and a stick vacuum cleaner for quick clean ups of sand or dirt. Kangaroos were around the place most nights. Just a beautiful, peaceful location on a magnificent island

Well-designed, comfortable and clean with attention to the small details like coasters, door stops, proper coat hangers, shower mats etc.
Great heating and cooling options.
Liked everything. Just wanted a window lock key so windows could be opened.
A privacy screen for the front windows would be useful.

What a great stay at Seashells Penneshaw. A fully equipped 4 bedroom house with quality furniture, bedding, crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment. The cleanliness was fantastic and apart from the sand centipedes which is natural in homes near the beach, we were very happy. Like ants in tropical places, even 5 star hotels, you're never going to get away with an insect free stay. This doesn't mean the home isn't spotless in every other way. I write about the sand centipedes so people know what to expect, not to speak badly of the accommodation. The beds were great pillow top mattress quality and the bedding 100 per cent cotton. Thumbs up for a good night's rest. A lovely water view from the comfortable sofa. An easy 15 minute walk into the centre and a 3 minute drive from the ferry terminal. The hosts were fantastic and gave clear instructions for getting in and were there to say goodbye at the end of our stay. As there were only 2 of us, 2 of the 4 bedrooms were locked. We liked the fact that the hosts did not assume we would only need 1 bedroom and had 2 bedrooms available. Highly recommended.

This is the best accommodation we've ever had. Normally cleanliness is a problem with accommodation, but not here. The kids loved it. Really recommend this place. Definitely it's better to stay here in Penneshaw than in Kingscote. It was a much friendlier place for us.
Missed the driveway due to it not going all the way to the road. But that's very minor.

Everything but the kitchen ware. The location is great, the house was very clean and comfortable and the owners were very friendly too. High quality bed linen and towels made out stay very comfortable.
The only thing that could be improved on was the kitchen ware. Cooking utensils are very old and sparse. The pots and pans are good but cookware is very old and odd sizes. There was a drawer full of large old plastic dishes (Tupperware style) which had seen better days and of no use as too big with no lids. The next time the owners come back to the island (a run to Kmart or IKEA for some new bake & cookware would do the house wonders. The house would then be 10/10.

The sign for the house was facing the wrong way so we missed it the first time 😂😂😂😂😂. But i5 wa# a very comfortable stay and we would recommend it to our friends.

Wonderfully equipped property, every little thing had been thought of (apart from maybe a torch 🔦 when we had a blackout of the whole area) Immaculately clean. Great location. Comfortable beds. Nice views. 100% recommended!
