The cottage was a perfect place to relax and unwind. Close to everything you need. Each night we left our window open and the ocean waves lulled us to sleep. Each morning we watched the beautiful sunrise on the comfortable covered porch. The cottage itself had everything you needed for a short or extended stay. We are so appreciative of the host, Dave, for sharing his wonderful vacation home. Can't wait to stay again.

My mom and I stayed in the North suite for a weekend. Beautiful location, updated residence right on the beach with lovely outdoor seating areas. I appreciate the comfortable amenities of the place; however, I do not recommend for anyone that is feeble or unable to climb and descend steep stairs to the two bedrooms. Be prepared to bring your own sheets and towels and to ensure the place is tidy and all windows closed upon checking out. I would stay here again. Thank you!

I stayed with my sister-in-law and our four kids, ages 11-14. It was a cute place, amazing location, perfect porch for enjoying the beach. Would definitely stay again!

The location of this home is fantastic, and the spacious front porch provides a wonderful space to sit in the morning sun, relax and enjoy the water and beach views. The house was clean and bright, the kitchen was well-stocked, beds were comfortable, the sound of the surf at night was a lovely bonus. Only down sides were a somewhat steep staircase and bedrooms and kitchen on the small side. We enjoyed our stay and would happily return in the future.

We had a wonderful time staying at Dave’s vacation home. The cottage was clean and well kept. There’s plenty of seating in the main living area. We loved the storage drawers under the bed In one bedroom. This home is split into two separate units which make it ideal if you’re traveling with extended family. The owners also own a beautiful cottage next door to this one. Beautiful view. Cottage is centrally located on Wells Beach making this an ideal location. The owner was quick to respond to all of my inquiries.

The property and especially the carpet was not clean. It would have been more convenient for people from out side the state to have towels amd sheets available in the property. Thank you,

There is nothing like opening the door and stepping onto the beach! The covered porch was perfect to sit out in all weather - we bundled up and watched the sunrise every morning with our coffee. The bedrooms had amazing views and falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean was like a dream! The kitchen was well-equipped which is always a huge bonus for us as we like to cook meals at home while we are vacationing. Beautiful home, exactly as described and would highly recommend!!!

Nice 1/2 house right on the beach, especially for a structure almost 100 years old! Host (David) was great - easy to communicate with and quick to address an issue that we discovered upon arriving. Things important to know that listing may not show - shared laundry with 2 other units but great to have the option! I definitely used this considering we had 3 kids 4 & under along. Make sure you take towels and sheets (if you’re not used to this kind of rental, it is the norm). Kitchen had what we needed to cook for the week between pots, pans and dishes. For anyone with little kids, keep in mind the bedrooms are right up the stairs without much of a landing space. If your kids walk out of the room, they are almost right at the first step. May want to take a baby gate or have a parent to sleep in room with them. We were there in late Sept/early Oct when nights were cool. There is no heat upstairs, but it travels relatively well up the stairs from first floor. If you’re going in the summer, there aren’t any ceiling fans. Nice host, nice unit!

We had a wonderful long weekend on the beach...perfect location, house is just as described - had everything we needed. We loved the covered porch to sit and watch the waves, eat and just enjoy the amazing location. Looking forward to going back!

Fantastic location on Wells beach. Clean and comfortable with everything needed for a fun family vacation!

We loved this property and are talking about when we can go again. It was fun for an adults-only getaway but would also be great for a small family with kids! Walk down a few steps and you're on the sand, just can't beat it. Here are some pros and cons, although the pros far outweighed the cons! Pros: Location - easy to get to and GORGEOUS waterfront. Beach wasn't crazy busy, water is blue, and sand is free of many rocks. Ocean views from every room in the house (except the bathroom). Open the windows and constant waves. Quiet even with tenants in the other side of the duplex. The deck/porch is staggered so you have great privacy inside and outside. Clean inside and out. Private deck - large and can't really see from the beach. Kitchen was well-stocked with dishes/cookware. Beds were comfortable with a mattress pillow topper (but see note below on sheets). Cons: You have to provide your own sheets or towels. Had I not read the contract again I would have missed that before our arrival! Only one roll of toilet paper (FYI, that's not enough for 4 adults and a long weekend). Steep/narrow stairs up to the bedrooms, while bathroom is downstairs. Bedrooms are small - which isn't a huge deal - but have no closet or storage space. One had a bureau and the other had a couple hooks on the wall but no bureau.

This was an excellent location, just steps from Wells Beach. There were fantastic ocean views from the living room and bedrooms. We spent a lot of time on the back porch enjoying the ocean breezes, and walking the miles of open beach. Some spaces were definitely a little small, as it is a multi-family house. It can be a bit of a challenge to pull in and out of the driveway as the unit behind can be tricky to see past, but overall we had a fantastic time. I would rent this house again.

Beautiful Location, walk out the door and enjoy the beach. This two bedroom beach house had everything we could ask for. Even though it rained the entire time we were in Wells, being in this wonderful rental made all the difference!
