Convenient location, close to town.

Very close to main road and train line so was a bit noisy

The rooms were very spacious. The curtains properly darkened the room. As it was right on the main street it was noisy but not too bad. Also the people who stayed at the restaurant could be heard, with the windows closed.

My credit card which was solely used for booking the room was used to charge me before i even asked for the bill! And it was already clarified I would pay in the hotel. When I pointed it out, I only got a smile as a response.

Breakfast, value for money

Lovely hotel within walking distance of Goch centre but far out enough to be quiet. The shutters on the windows are great for keeping the room dark at night and cool in the day. Came back from town at night for a drink in the bar which was lively and had a great atmosphere.

The staff were very friendly, providing a pleasant check-in experience and a great breakfast. A nice touch was that they remembered where I sat on the first morning and placed a pot of coffee there as soon as I walked in. The breakfast was good with fresh fruit, granola and yoghurt (all I need). There was also a selection of fresh juice and breads. I had dinner in the hotel on one evening and wish I had eaten there more often, the food was wonderful. The restaurant was always busy, a good sign.

As mentioned by another reviewer, the hotel does look a little tired in places; however, this didn't impinge on my stay at all. In fact, on some occasions I prefer a bit of character rather than a sterile space.

Super friendly hosts even in difficult covid times

Simple, but nice breakfast. Too bad that the coffee was not that good.

Friendly staff who chatted in English as much as they were able (I have VERY little German!) I was asked what time I would like breakfast, but then overslept and had to run for my train so missed it! I chose the Hotel as a friend was going to be in Goch at the same time and the very friendly bar staff accommodated our late evening discussion - we finally left at around 23.50 having not realised the time! The bed in my room (twin room with 2 single beds that looked quite narrow but were actually wider than they appeared) was AMAZING - no idea what sort of mattress it was but it's the best night's sleep I've had in a hotel!
