My kids and I just got back from a week in OB and we had a blast! The location of this unit was perfect! You are a just a couple of blocks from the beach and a super short walk to the shopping/eating area. Close enough for short walks but far enough away to not be bothered by the noise of the night life. The hosts have beach accessories you can borrow which made the whole stay so much more enjoyable. Thanks for helping to make such a memorable vacation!

Enjoyed a wonderful 5 night stay very conveniently located near dog beach and city beach. Just a short walk to the beach and nearby restaurants. We also walked to Sunset Cliffs. Erich and Taylor are great hosts and check-in/checkout are very easy. The rental is set up well with everything you need including beach chairs, towels and toys.

Everything about this place is fantastic! Close to beach, food, shops, etc. Owners provided beach chairs, toys, towels, boogie boards, wagon-everything needed for a day at the beach. The vibe of the place is great. We especially loved the record player and the records. Erich was great with communicating from beginning to end. I would highly recommend for your next San Diego trip. We’ll definitely be back!

This spot is just a few blocks from the beach, our four and eight year old made it with no complaining. There are also many coffee shops and restaurants within a ten minute walk, target is about a 10 minute walk also. The San Diego Zoo is a 15 min drive and the Safari Park and Legoland were 30-40 min away. This was a great spot on the beach that allowed us to access all of the attractions and return for a great dinner and beach time.

Quaint upstairs bungalow located near beach and downtown shopping/bar area. We were not up to speed on the Ocean Beach vibe, but if you are looking for an old time, relaxed beach experience, this is for you. Apartment unit was well stocked. Nothing fancy, but its the beach! Parking is limited to street. Not a problem in February, but might be a little challenging during the summer season.

The unit was super easy to get to and check in to. Clean place with plenty of fans and an awesome welcome gift of wine and snacks. Super easy to communicate with the hosts. Easy walk to bars and restaurants, but still a couple blocks away from each to give a quiet street. Also very close to beach access as well.

The place was really cute, clean and comfy. I loved all the plants and the welcome basket. It's close to everything - beach, restaurants, coffee. There's no A/C so it was a little bit warm but there are ceiling fans and we opened the windows, which felt safe up on the top floor. The owners were nice. Would definitely stay here again!

The communication was the owner was an absolute nightmare I had to contact vrbo to be able to commit with him and at the end he gave us the wrong code and the lady from downstairs was able to help us to get in
Plus the owner didn't leave enough toilet paper or garbage bags and we had to buy our own supply

The property very comfortable and had all the needed supplies and amenities. The check in with the host was seamless. He was very responsive and friendly. The location was excellent. We walked and rode the beach cruisers everywhere. ( They were provided) We didn’t have a car but didn’t need one. We took Uber to farther distances. They also had beach towels and beach items to borrow. I highly recommend this beach bungalow.

We loved this place and how close it was to the beach. It was so clean and the Host Erich & Taylor were so friendly. We enjoy the little surprises and little extras they left us when we checked in. Overall it was Fantastic.

Awesome 4 day weekend at Ocean Beach. Erich's unit was within walking distance of the beach, coffee shops and some very good craft beer joints. OB is an eclectic mix of humanity and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We will be back! Highly recommended. Thank you.

Such a cozy spot! So close to the beach and all the OB shops and restaurants. The planes are noticable but we were not bothered. We would definitely stay here again!

Property is walking distance to bars, shops, restaurants. Cute place, has everything you need. Clean/well-kept apartment — and only a block from the beach.
The noise from neighbors and airplanes did wake us up but not too much of a nuisance. We would stay again. Ocean Beach got some bad reviews because it isn’t glamorous like La Jolla or other areas. We found it more down to earth and low-key. There are some homeless folks that hang around the shopping/bar area but they never made us feel wary. Still saw lots of people walking at all times of the day.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. The host was very responsive to our questions. The location is great and easily walkable to the beach, shopping and dining. The neighborhood is safe and clean. I especially enjoyed mornings on the balcony with a cup of coffee and some soft music. I wish we could have stayed longer.

We had a lovely stay in Ocean Beach. The place was perfect for three girlfriends over a long weekend. The beach, shops and restaurants all within walking distance. Highly recommend for 2-3 people.

Great spot in the heart of OB
Loved this place. Perfectly kept and wonderful location. Perfect spot for a get away with your spouse and dog. Hosts were great too.
Walkable to everything and lots of street parking. Dog beach very nearby.
Great outdoor space too.
Only downsides was the bedroom was a little warm one night but we figured out the fan situation. Airplanes are overhead and loud early so don't plan to sleep in.
OB honestly wasn't my vibe but that had zero to do with the property. Reminded me of Venice Beach.
Highly recommend the property.

Great little apartment near the beach, not the best for small children
Overall a nice place, very close to the beach. Parking was a bit tough at times. I would not recommend this property for families with small children, many of the windows on this second story apartment, did not have locks or screens on them and could be easily accessed by children. the master bed is below three windows without locks or screens and are very light weight, a toddler could easily fall out of these. the pullout bed in the front room is also bellow a large window that does not lock, and anyone from outside could open the window, we did not feel comfortable letting or 7 yo sleep on this bed alone and either my wife or I had to sleep on this little pullout bed with our child each night. Also on the deck there is a place on the railing that is open to the roof and a child could just walk right out onto the roof.

Pleasantly Surprised
Thank you Erich & Taylor! This was our first time using VRBO and staying somewhere other than a hotel. We were a little nervous. But, we didn't want to miss our dear friend's 50th birthday celebration. In searching online we found this wonderful property close to where everyone else was staying. When we arrived there was a nice bottle of Rose waiting for us and snacks! The place was just as pictured online. The entire place was stocked with everything you could need for a relaxing stay. My husband and I were happy and said if we were in this area again, we would stay here.
Side note for some future patrons: The airplane noise is definitely present. However, I found it calming as I need some type of noise to sleep. It didn't seem to stop my hubby from catching too many zzz's either :-).

Mom daughter getaway
Did a double mom daughter getaway week driving down the coast to beach cities I grew up in. Ended in OB, saw new niece, surf lessons etc! It was exactly as described and a perfect little getaway!

10/10 Will Come Again
First of all, the pictures do not do this property justice. Inviting and open, beautifully decorated and welcoming this place was a dream. We spent our early mornings drinking coffee on the front deck, our afternoons walking a few minutes to the beach where it's always a party, and our evenings taking advantage of all the great restaurants and bars. Ocean Beach is amazing and we wish we extended our stay here.
Second, Erich & Taylor could not have been better hosts. Great communication, an informative binder ready for us on the coffee table when we checked in AND they recommended one of the best Mexican food joints I have ever eaten at. These are the hosts you always hope to have when booking through VRBO.
Bottom Line: Loved the property loved the neighborhood and can't wait to visit again.

Cozy and comfortable!
Such a perfect VRBO! Erich and Taylor are incredible hosts. This stay was so close to the beach and everything else in OB and was just so cozy! Erich and Taylor were just downstairs of us which was nice if we needed anything!
