We came to this cabin last Christmas and had such a lovely time, I booked it immediately for this year. It did not disappoint. It is decorated beautifully for the holidays. You feel like you're stepping into a Hallmark movie. The fireplace was on and Christmas music playing. So much room in the kitchen and gathering spaces. We have several piano players and enjoyed the piano. The view and the sunsets were amazing. The young adults enjoyed the addition of the fire ring. I really can't say enough good things. We had all 27 family members there. Thank you again for a great experience.

We rented this property with a group of family and dear friends to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday. This property is beautiful but it's the view that really steals the show. We were captivated by them the entire weekend. It is a lovely location for a celebration and gathering with friends. Debbie, who was our contact during the stay, was lovely - so friendly and responsive! I do want to note that we had trouble with miscommunication with Chanelle both before and after the stay - with communication before the stay much more friendly than that which happened after the stay. Our initial reservation was for another beautiful Mentone Vacation Rental property. Due to a problem with their calendar, they needed to change our reservation after we had already paid the deposit. In March, when information was sent about this property that they were offering in place of the one originally reserved, I was very clear that we needed 6 separate bedrooms. Chanelle told me this wouldn't be a problem as they would be completing the media room by the time of our reservation in mid-July. Once it was clarified that this would be a separate sleeping space, we decided this property would work. Only after we arrived at the house for the party in July did we find that the media room had not been completed and one couple would not have a room for the weekend. There was nothing that could be done at that time. We had a lovely weekend - though one that was decidedly problematic when it came time for everyone to sleep. When I attempted to follow up with Chanelle after the weekend regarding some compensation for the fact that we did not have the promised number of bedrooms, she accused our party - which was made up of working and retired professionals (age range 54-83 w/ 3 young adults in their 20's) - of leaving the property in bad shape with solid waste in the toilet and stains on the towels. We were stunned. Most of us own vacation properties and always treat rentals with the same respect we'd treat our own homes. I have had the privilege of staying in beautiful properties across the US and Europe and have never had an experience like this. The property is stunning and most of the people we interacted with regarding the rental were wonderful. I would just give the caveat that if something goes awry during your stay, you may not be able to count on professional and friendly responses from some members of Mentone Vacation Rentals.

Because we experienced a loss of a loved one last Christmas we wanted to make a new memory. This cabin offered us everything we needed. It was the first time in years my whole family was able to be together for Christmas. Ages range from 2 to 90. The seating both in the family room and dining room were perfect. We ate, laughed, talked, played games,sang and ate some more. My favorite place was the outside pavilion. The view was amazing, very peaceful even with all the kids running around. We have already booked again for next year. Hopefully we've started a new tradition.
