A wonderful house with a beautiful garden and has all the items you need. The downstairs bedroom was a extra help for elderly relatives. The host is so helpful and lovely to deal with. Tideswell has lots of eating out and such a pretty village. Highly recommend a visit.

This cottage is perfect for friends & family. Ideal location for walks from the door yet only minutes drive to other attractions.

Plenty of space and facilities for 3 couples. Absolutely everything thought of, so well equipped. Very comfortable sitting room to settle into after a day exploring. Village has everything. Can’t recommend highly enough

Cannot fault Acorn Cottage in any way. Clean, tidy and great facilities. A real treat to stay in. Mattresses were so comfortable and armchairs and sofas too. Garden is beautiful although we didn't get too much opportunity to use it. Feel thoroughly refreshed after a week here. Stuart was very helpful from day 1 of booking.

As soon as we walked through the door we felt at home. Full of character, beautifully furnished and all the utensils you needed for a memorable stay. Stuart was an excellent host and was always available to answer our queries and provide invaluable information about the local area. Our trip was a post-lockdown family reunion so for my older father the downstairs bedroom and bathroom was ideal and was referred to as the paternal wing. We enjoyed family meals at the large dining table and then relaxing in the cosy sitting room. The mature garden on several levels was beautiful with different areas to explore. Unfortunately, due to the inclement weather we were unable to enjoy it to the full. Tideswell had everything we needed, and we enjoyed eating out at the Star and the Anchor. We visited Cauldwell mill, a trip on the peak railway, Eyam and its museum, Crich tramway, Asbourne, Bakewell and Buxton. We had a wonderful time in this lovely family home and were sad to leave.
