Spotless, well stocked with every amenity anyone could need! Gorgeous views, helpful owners, great location with restaurants nearby. Definitely worth the money!!! Comfortable beds with luxurious bedding. Easy to relax, play with all the beach toys provided, or see the sights.

My bridal party stayed here on our wedding weekend and it was absolutely stunning! The attention to detail at this property is unreal and we kept saying all weekend we couldn’t believe how amazing it was. Each aspect was so well thought out and we couldn’t want for any more!!! Highly highly recommend for a beautiful vacation getaway!!!

Lovely house on the water comfortably furnished definitely a place to go back to!

The house, location, amenities, communications with the host were all perfect. There was plenty of room for our family of 7 adults and the location could not be beat. At high tide it almost seemed like we were on a boat and at low tide there was a nice walking beach (too chilly to swim). The host was extremely communicative and very flexible. The stocked pantry and lovely bottle of wine were a nice bonus.

Lots of little treasures at this beachfront home. Luxurious sheets, stocked kitchen and comfortable furniture. We had dinner outside one evening and enjoyed the sunset! We also loved the gas fireplace. Beautiful home and beautiful memories ♥️

Over the past 40 years, we've done short and longer term rentals. We've had positive and not so positive experiences. This was, by far, the best experience each of us have ever had. The house is designed while still being very easy to live in. It's beyond 'fully equipped' with anything you might want. And when I asked about anything, Fran was quick to respond and supply it. The views are lovely and the location/access to swimable water is amazing - as one person said, when the tide is in, you feel like you're on a boat. And Fran couldn't be a more gracious host. By the end of our first week, we booked for next year. I'm already looking forward to it!

The home was even more breathtaking then what the pictures showed and the beach being steps away for our very senior parents was perfect for allowing them to enjoy the water. Thank you Fran, our family appreciated the time we spent together in your beautiful home.

The view when you walk into the second floor is stunning. You get the same view when you wake up in bed, on the third floor- so relaxing! They provided SUP and canoes, books, board games. The house is beautiful and well decorated. Fresh flowers and wine, gave that extra touch. Communication was easy! They also had a Roku to watch Netflix. The downstairs patio had a nice gas fireplace and a couch to take a sun nap! They gave good restaurant recommendations and had menus available, as well! I highly recommend a stay if you need to recoup your energy and enjoy the water and sun!

Our family was beyond excited when this property became available for our yearly vacation to the CT shoreline. The pictures were amazing & we were instantly hooked…but nothing compares to being there in person. The views from the balcony are absolutely stunning & like nothing we had experienced in prior vacation homes over the past 40 years! Watching the sun set while being cooled by breezes off the water was priceless. The house is very well-appointed, comfortable & chock full of amenities that made our stay that much more enjoyable. From the king-sized beds and kayaks to the gas fire pit, every detail is so well thought out for the maximum enjoyment of those who stay at the Salt Island Inn. It’s also close to many restaurants and places to shop in Westbrook, Clinton & Old Saybrook. We can’t wait to come back again next year!!

This will go down as one of my favorite places that I have stayed. The property was clean and VERY well equipped! Aside from being a beautiful house in a beautiful location the kitchen was very well stocked and had sharp knives to prepare food with, something that many rental homes don't offer. Fran was very kind and easy to get in contact with. We wish there was time available at the end of summer, we will be back!

We are so happy to have spent this time together in this beautiful waterfront home. Comfortable and homey but spacious and relaxing. The view of the island with the changing tides was great to watch throughout the day. The kitchen was well stocked with the few things we forgot. Salt Island Inn is gorgeous, comfortable, well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave. Watching the tide ebb and flow from the spacious and comfortable living and dining area in the house, and from the outdoor patio with fire pit, was meditative and fun ... all at once. And we can't say enough wonderful things about Fran. She is communicative, flexible, and just easy to work with. We changed our reservation dates early on and she walked me through the process making it very easy, and she was available for any questions we had during our stay. The best property manager we ever worked with in VRBO. We hope to come back!!

Wow. Everything about the Salt Island Inn was perfect. The house itself was SO beautifully decorated and very comfortable and clean. It had every item you could ever want - dishes, kitchen equipment, linens, towels, tons of beach and water toys - and the owner is incredibly hospitable and communicative. The location and views are breathtaking. We can’t say enough about how the 6 adults on the trip enjoyed this vacation. We used the kayaks, paddle boards and rafts right off the back patio and spent a lot of time taking in the views there and watching the schools of fish and different kinds of birds in the water. We also were able to walk into town in the mornings where there are two breakfast/brunch restaurants and a coffee shop, all were great. It is also possible to walk down the beach for about a mile during the lower tide periods. There’s nothing I could think of that could’ve made the stay at the house more comfortable. After a week there I still did not want to leave, I couldn’t get enough of the views. The owner checked in with us via text to make sure we had everything we needed and was always quick to respond with any questions we had (much faster than I was!), she was really wonderful. I cannot say enough about this place and will definitely be looking to come back.

We spent a week at this property with our family (which includes my wife, me, a teenager, a twelve year old, and my mom). The house is absolutely beautiful and thoughtfully put together. The game room/reading area and the TV room was great for rainy days. The kitchen and dining room is open and includes everything you could need. The best part was the awesome patio by the water, and all the kayaks and floats you could think of needing. Fran was great and there for any questions we had. We will definitely be booking this property again.
