a fun time for all

To summarize our stay, this venue is a fantastic fit for hosting large groups. It's very spacious and built to accommodate a large crowd with ease. Pros: Plenty of sleeping space (massive bunk rooms). Plenty of seating throughout the mansion (tables and chairs). Great layout that accommodates a comfortable stay for dozens without feeling the least bit crowded. Gorgeous view of the water. Fun game room. Lots of room for parking. Spacious lawn and beach. Private feel. Large televisions. Massive, comfortable couch. Responsive management. Just a few cons from our stay. Most of these are quite minor: When we arrived there was a considerable amount of trash leftover from the previous tenants and some general messes that weren't cleaned up. One of the slider screens was also broken. When it came to the kitchen, the stove was missing its main burner, one of the two coffee makers was broken, and while there were two ovens they were both a bit smaller than typical ovens, so if someone were to trying to cook a meal for a larger group and needed to use the ovens, it could be difficult to time it all out correctly. All that said, we informed the manager on many of these and they were thankful to hear these things, responsive to us, and apologetic, which we were grateful for. Of course, this is a very large place and so maintaining it is a large undertaking, but the ownership and management really seem to care about doing a great job. Overall, this place would easily meet the need for hosting a large group comfortably.

THis property was great for our get away, and communication with Lynette was amazing. We had 25 people all 18 and up stay for our family getaway. From my 85 year old mo, to my 18 year old niece. Everyone enjoyed it. Although we were there in the rain, there was enough to do in the house that made the stay great. The pool table, and ping pong table were used a great deal. We even held a Chopped Family style with 4 cooks in the kitchen and the kitchen had plenty of room! Thanks for a memorable trip Lynette and team! We might need to make it an annual event!

Great space for large events, the new owners are amazing!

Great property for a large party with a beautiful view, unfortunately for our activities, the boats racing in front of the house were too loud. We enjoyed the staying and the cleanness and capability of hosting a big party.

I just finished a family reunion at the Lakeside Mansion and the home offered a lot of what we needed to have a successful reunion. It is huge, it is beautiful, and it comes with plenty of amenities. However, this house recently changed ownership & the house/owners aren't honestly prepared for the ways the house is used. We planned to arrive on Wednesday night. I had to message the owner via the app after check in time to obtain check in instructions. He informed me that the property manager would be there to let us in & show us the property but only until 4:30. Most of us weren't available until closer to 5:00 so that didn't work (he then gave us the entry code). After arriving that evening, there were 40+ of us, we had the inevitable issues that arise with a large group and a large house, nothing major, but several important concerns. I reached out to the owner via the VRBO app & to the property manager via a phone # left in the instructions at the house. I received NO response & followed up the following morning. I discovered that the property manager was unavailable after 5:00, which if check in is 4:00 is completely unacceptable. Eventually I was able to communicate directly with the owner via text and communication issues were resolved. From there the house generally pleased me & my family. There are plenty of small issues from some door locks not working, to holes in walls/doors, to issues with the stove malfunctioning (although my handyman bro-in-law was able to fix it). Honestly just a lot of small things that would be common in a house of that size after years of not being properly maintained. When I asked the owner about issues to fix, he WAS very responsive and worked to take care of it. That said, when spending thousands of dollars on a rental home, I don't love playing the role of maintenance coordinator. Despite these issues, my family had a great time at the house and upon leaving we agreed we would rent it again if given the opportunity. Hopefully this new owner will be able to get all the issues taken care of and fixed in the near future.

We had an amazing weekend at this property with a group of almost 50 of us. It fit all of us comfortably, was cool, clean, and just perfect for us. Manager was great and everything we needed for a fun weekend was there (kayaks, volleyballs, corn holes, large kitchen with everything we needed to cook and serve meals). Highly recommend for large groups. It is right on the lake so bring bug spray and sun block. We would love to go back to this location once a year if possible! Love, love love.

The property was all that it was advertised as. Wonderful for large groups. We had a wonderful time. Would highly recommend it for large groups and families. Everyone enjoyed it even the teenagers had fun. It was well stocked and extremely comfortable for all.

Wonderful experience!!. We were about 38 people including adults and kids including teenagers. The house was kept clean, and all the towels, linens and pillows were plenty. The rooms and bunk beds were plenty. Kids had fun and we had memories to last…The kayaks, volleyball, chairs…were all in the property and we had great time in the lake. Jeff and Lynette were very responsive and we would live to come back sometime in the future. I have few recommendations to the property owner… 1. Little bit of renovation on the bathrooms with locks and flooring would be helpful. 2. Jet Skies, Pontoon boats at the property would be awesome… Such a great property and Jeff and Lynette were awesome host. Can’t wait to come back again…

The property has a to die for view and a more that you can hope for lake front property. The home is wonderful. The upkeep is less than desirable. It is under new management so hopefully they will be able to deal with the ants and spiders. The beds were comfortable and anything you need is there. Just hard to find. Plenty of TP and paper and beach towels. It was very misleading because there were so many garages shown in the pictures but none of them were available so our cars had to sit in the heat. The furniture was comfortable and well decorated. The ice maker and water didn't work. We had 8 families there and there was plenty of room for all of us. We had a wonderful time there and loved that the new owners even came and visited for the 4th of July. We are so grateful they let us keep our reservation as the house was sold.

Wonderful experience.

Property was beautiful. We never saw or spoke to the property manager which was unfortunate as we would have liked to have rented some of the amenties mentioned in the ad. We also had some issues we would liked to resolve hence the lower overall rating. I believe this to be because of the ownership transfer. To bad, this could have been a much nicer vacation. It was still enjoyable and we had great fun visiting many of the sites in southern California. This property has great potential and is well worth investigating , especially if you have a large group.

Great house for our family reunion with plenty of space and things to do. Some cosmetic and simple home improvements can be done, i.e. no toilet paper dispensers, screws missing on 2 toilet seats, more paddles for all the kayaks they have, could have nicer pool cue stick and ping pong paddles, and we weren’t sure how to turn on 2 of the fans…but overall a perfect house for large groups. Owner was quick to respond to our concerns both prior and during the trip. Would definitely think about returning again.

We loved this vacation lakehouse. We came with a full family of 32. There was plenty of room that we did not feel crowded. The lakehouse location was perfect with its own private boating launch and private beach. Enjoyed plenty of lake activities. Thank you to the management team for the ease of our stay.

- Communication from the property manager is very poor, we got our check-in instructions at 2:30 pm the day of checking in - which is 1.5 hrs before check in. Also, once the property was booked, it was really hard to get answers to questions without 2nd follow up. I wish we knew that they don't supply bath soap, paper towels or shampoo beforehand so that we didn't have to run to the store right after checking in. No issue with the property manager himself, they seem like a very non-intrusive family friendly people. He couldn't offer an early check-in but he was nice enough to allow us an extra hour to check out late. If you are a group that plans on staying mainly at this property and doing R&R, it's a very good place. The neighborhood doesnt really have many things to do without a 15-20 mins. drive out. Property itself is very old and so is everything inside of the property. With some extra up keep this can become a very good property. We had kids so this ended up being a very good place for them to play by the lake in the backyard. Bed mattresses are uncomfortable - this could be an issue for people with back issues. In short, it's a good place for a local staycation or spending 3-4 days with family and friends if your use is to enjoy the lake with your boat or simply staying in the house and enjoying the backyard.

This is a great get away spot with so much to do! We stood 3 full days and had a great time in a large and private location. Would love to go back.

This house was perfect for our group. Plenty of space for cooking and eating together. Lots of room to just hang out and plenty of things to do. We really loved having our own boat launch ramp. The only downside was that the beds were pretty uncomfortable. Overall though we would highly recommend it and even plan on coming back.

I booked this location for a small family reunion the weekend of my wedding. As soon as each member approached the home, they immediately commented about how gorgeous the house was and if this was all ours. We barbecued in the back which overlooked the lake. The interior was enormous so this location was perfect for our family. The driveway was spacious enough to fit all of our vehicles. The owner was very friendly and accommodating! I would highly recommend this property and would stay here again!

We decided to stay here for my Grandma's 90th Birthday/Family Reunion. The place is just as nice as the pictures!! When you walk into the home, you're greeted by a large living room with a nice surround sound system to play music. The kids were never bored! They were kept busy in the game room with a ping pong table, pool table, and plenty of board games. They were also able to play outside on the grass or play volleyball. There's even tetherball outside! Haven't seen one in ages. The kids loved sleeping in the room with all the bunks. The adults were so relaxed with the kids busy. We were able to wake up to the view of the lake at sunrise and enjoy the sunset with a bonfire. The kitchen is huge! It had a large dining table, island, and stovetop to keep our family fed. All the bathrooms were in good condition and there's even a working washer/dryer. There's a caretaker that lives on one end of the property and they were very accommodating and helpful. The weekend went by so fast... can't wait to come back! You won't regret staying here!

Loved the experience. Really accommodating and great to work with. Beautiful place and a surprisingly stunning view at sunset. Loved the colors that played over the hills. Lots of space to make our dream wedding come true. Will always have fond memories of Lake Elsinore because of this fantastic place.

Wow, that property was amazingly huge. My parents had 8 kids and with them and their kids spouses and 20+ grandkids we were just shy of 40 people in the "luxury compound" and it worked very well. There were beds a-plenty, maybe not quite as many sleeping rooms but with a crowd that large you can't complain. The kitchen and dining and living room areas were far more spacious and high-quality than I would have expected (i.e. ginormous vaulted ceiling with multiple mirror twice my own height). The yard and mini private beach were a great perk, and even though I didn't go jet ski-ing (paid extra from another pier but at the same lake) all my family who did it loved it. We had a day at a "real" (read: Pacific Ocean) beach and a ton of time doing board games and card games and chillaxing. The ping pong and pool table room were a long-lasting source of diversion (and had better cooling). I'll forever look back fondly at these times and almost wish we spent another day here at the Lake Elsinore house. I got the biggest dent in my wallet for this, and I have zero regrets. I'd recommend to a friend to go here with a family gathering in a heartbeat.

Sometimes when you choose a vacation rental, you anticipate that the pictures make it look better than reality. When we pulled up to this house and walked in, we were ecstatic. The pictures accurately portrayed the beautiful property. It was perfect for our family reunion with great amenities, large gathering areas, a fantastic back patio area, and we loved the back yard and beach area.

It was a great house and location. It fit our large group of nearly 40 including babies. Between the kitchen, dining area and patio we had room to feed everybody. We had to buy our own hand soap, bar soap for showers, paper towels, hand towels and kitchen dishcloths. We loved the grassy backyard, private beach and lake view.

There were enough beds for everyone plus some! Large kitchen to fix every meal and seating for everyone inside and out on the patio. It was great having a fenced grassy area when we weren't at the beach (usually in the evening). Everyone loved being on rafts or kayaks on the lake! The private lake beach was perfect for building sand castles and just playing. Our large family had a wonderful vacation/reunion. It was great being under one roof! Everyone's still talking about how much fun we had!
