We really enjoyed our time at Second Wind. The views were amazing, really close to the beach and shopping. We appreciated the opportunity to enjoy your space.

This house was awesome. We enjoyed the sound, pool, hot tub, and beach. The sunsets were amazing, and we love that the beach was only a short walk and not crowded. We cooked dinner every night because we did not want to spend time away from the water or the house. The living space was large enough for us to hang out, play board games, and all eat together. We also enjoyed the wildlife on the ocean and the sound side. The house was perfect for our family. We definitely will leave with fond memories of our stay at Second Wind.

House was great. Has a nice pool and new hot tub. AC worked great and kept the house at 70 all day. The canal leading to the sound is perfect for kayak. Close to groceries and easy walk to beach. Absolutely no complaints.

Perfect house for our two families. Lots of deck space to enjoy the views of the sound. Easy walk to the beach. We loved the laid back area of Frisco and the surrounding towns. The owner was incredibly nice and responsive.

Stayed here for a recent girls weekend. The owners were accommodating, communicative and always responsive. The house was clean, bright and in a great location. The view of the bay is stunning, access to kayaks, a wonderful new hot tub, clean bright rooms, it truly has it all. The owner also gave us wonderful recommendations for places to eat and things to do. Would love to come back again.

We are a kayaking family and with our own water access at this house, we were out every day! The beds were comfortable, house furnished nicely, kitchen well equipped, and cute decor. Property manager helped us a couple times and was super accommodating, responsive, and friendly. The only thing we weren’t impressed by was the cleanliness. There were soda cans and food wrappers under the beds in the bunk room. Not a game changer! We’d definitely go back!

Bikini Bottom has it all. Walk to the beach. Swim in the pool. Kayak from the dock. Lounge in the hot tub. Watch beautiful sunsets from the decks. Close to: beach, Hatteras Lighthouse, Ocracoke ferries, the Haulover, good grocery stores, bars, and restaurants. The house is well equipped for all activities. The only thing it lacks is an elevator or dumb waiter to haul everything up to the 3rd floor, and back down again. Great communication with the owner, and prompt service from the house manager. Would stay at Bikini Bottom again.

We had a wonderful time. Best of both worlds - beautiful sunsets over the sound and a short walk to the beach. The house was very comfortable, plenty of space for our group and the kitchen was very well stocked.

Very nice house. Day One hiccup when cleaner had not serviced housed by the 4pm check-in time. Brian was responsive and got it resolved. But overall great experience.

The house was clean and nicely decorated, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked and it was a short walk to the beach. The owners and manager are concerned about renters satisfaction with the house.

We had an amazing stay! By far one of our most relaxing vacations ever! Can’t decide if the location or the dock was our favorite part! Both the property owner and manager were amazing and easy to get ahold of! Thank you for sharing your amazing spot with us!

Very well equipped kitchen. Beds were super comfortable and the game room has plenty of games. There’s plenty of furniture on the decks. There’s a trundle bed under the bunk bed. There’s a futon in the little room above the kitchen. The ice maker has a hard time keeping up with heavy use, I suggest you buy some ice. Plenty of blue crabs at the end of the dock. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Bring bug spray for dusk. Make Sure you wear footwear on the dock to avoid slivers.

Love this property. Its very close to everything you would ever need from grocery stores, fish markets and off road ramps. Our kids loved playing in the pool after a long day at the beach. Enjoyed our mornings and evenings on the dock fishing, swimming and kayaking.

Property was so relaxing. The deck offered amazing sunsets. We used the kayaks to go around in the sound and it was so peaceful. Plenty of room and bathrooms for our party of 6! Definitely would stay again!

We loved this house. Had the best time enjoying the pool and viewing the sunsets from the top deck. Beds very comfortable, well appointed kitchen, loved everyone had their own bathroom. Playing air hockey was a blast! Our only reason for four star is the furniture is showing age and the dirt can’t be removed. Did not want to sit on any of it. Please replace the aged furniture it has seen better days.

We loved the property! They kayaks were a huge plus, also enjoyed the pool. The views from the top deck were gorgeous and very close to public beach access with restroom facilities. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. We contacted the property manager once regarding the pool. He was very responsive and our issue was resolved very quickly. We would book this property again!

This house had plenty of room for our family and we greatly enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Check in was very easy and property manager was nice to talk with. We would stay here again!

We did not see anyone topless...so it doesn't appear that the name of this property describes the dress code. This could be good news or bad new depending on your company. Our week started with tropical storm Claudette passing through which resulted in high winds, white caps in the sound, and rain. This property provided excellent entertainment and protection from the elements until the storm passed on. As to the property it has plenty of room we had seven people and would find that perhaps 10 people would be the maximum and be comfortable at this home. there is a little sitting nook which currently has a sofa and a desk and I would encourage the owner to consider replacing the sofa with a single bed or daybed for a teenager or child to sleep in. And we also observed that the property only came with one washcloth and one towel per person. as a result we went to the local Dollar general to find additional towels and washcloths to make our stay more comfortable through the week. The good news is the Dollar general is less than 10 minutes away and it's within 2 minutes of Connor's supermarket where you'll find all your other needs. FYI there is no gas grill on the property. The only grill is a charcoal grill which is located on the ground adjacent to the carport similar to what you might find in a state park. It would be nice to have a gas grill off the main deck off the kitchen if the owner would find it suitable. The canal behind the property and the surrounding water is really shallow so it is best suited for skiffs canoes kayaks and smaller boats. That being said it is possible if you have a boat that can draft 12 inches or less you can manage to get to the dock and tie it up. The tide is remarkably small only approximately 8 to 12 inches. The issue is not the depth of the canal but more so the area of the surround adjacent to the canal has many sand bars and seaweed. The hot tub was a neat addition however we were struggling to get it to turn off and so If you didn't want to hear it running all night you would need to literally unplug it. We communicated this issue with the property manager and believe that the property manager is trying to get this resolved. There are plenty of pots and pans and dishes etc in the kitchen so we did find the kitchen well equipped. At the time the ice maker in the freezer was struggling so the owner had a counter ice maker next to the sink. All in all we would stay there again.

We spent most of our time in the pool and the hot tub. The kids enjoyed the air hockey table too. The sunset views of the sound from the balcony are amazing! Balconies on every floor were perfect for every time of day. We even sat outside during light rain as part of the top is covered and the other part is open for sunning. The walk to the beach was a super short 3 min walk across the street. The only negatives are that the hot tub power was spotty and wasn't always working. Keep an eye on the pool filter as it sometimes shut off. We also were without bath mats/rugs so it made getting out of the tub/shower very slippery. You only get 1 washcloth & towel in the kitchen, along with 1 set of towels per person so bring extras if you will use more in the week (we did). The decor and furniture is dated, but we overlooked that to enjoy the views, pool, and beach! We would definitely rent this beach house again!
