Wonderful position facing the beach in a pretty cove with coastal walks either way Manuala was so helpful and looked after us very well explaining local walks and restaurants Quirky art deco furnishings with absolutely everything you cold want in the sea view suite A little TLC would be beneficial to the overall look Seafood restaurant El Penon served excellent fish dishes right opposite on the beach

The property was in an enclosed community protected by lock gates throughout. The property itself was extremely well presented on 3 floors in spacious rooms. Excellent kitchen and the master bedroom had a huge bathroom with spa bath and shower seperate. The middle floor had an equally large bathroom shared by 2 large bedrooms each with a balcony. The 3rd Floor Master bedroom had its own terrace which had the sun from early morning to 5pm in June was not overlooked but in itself looked over the pool. The pool was a very short distance from the house which had its own very private courtyard complete with BBQ. I thought that the description on booking.com by the owner probably did not do the whole house justice. It was far better than the description

Ok, the negatives. Finding the property was difficult as my SATNAV did not have the street name and also as an enclosed community there was a specific gate to be met at by the hosts mother who did not speak English. The Host himself was on the phone and guided us in as he did speak English and was helpful throughout. The big downside was the host and Booking.com did not make clear the pool would only be open from the 15th of June. Whilst the property was only 5 minutes walk from a beach which also had excellent restaurants and bars my wife did not like to swim in the sea. To be honest the entire time we were there the temperature was 24 degrees and sunny and it was completely frustrating that the pool was not open. Also not mentioned was the fact that everything was on a hill and had steps everywhere with very little regards for disabled or age challenged visitors. The house itself was on 3 floors which required some dexterity to negotiate at 70 years old! Just be aware of this fact - we managed but I felt it should be mentioned that it is not suitable for people with mobility problems. The third problem was relating to a benefit in the fact it is a gated community. One key unlocks all the community doors that provide access and exit. Both sets of keys I had experience problems unlocking and locking these doors. If you think about it all the community have a key to unlock and lock and would be using it all the time. Therefore, I was not surprised that perhaps these locks became worn and where problematical. Again, frustrating when you want to get into the compound and the key was not functioning.
