The architecture and cleanliness of the Highland Resort was superb. Amazing continental breakfast, the gardens, situated within tall redwood trees, you really felt the escape into the woods. Staff was always pleasant and delivered exceptional hospitality towards all guests. Job Well Done!
Barking dog from the neighbors as I slept in a glamping tent. I know you can't control that but at certain times of day it does break away from the great experience of the property.

Neither hot tub nor heater in King Spa room worked properly. They did comp that night. Never could connect to wifi. Not enough hot water. Need more variety in pillow sizes.

We were the first guests to stay after the remodel. The rooms are beautiful!!! This place is a hidden gem for sure. Great weekend getaway destination! Would absolutely stay there again and can't wait to return! Cathy was so warm and welcoming!!

What a nice hotel, reasonable priced for the region, very friendly staff, good 'basic' breakfast (exactly what I needed, hard boiled eggs, yoghurt, fruit), very helpful staff for idea of hikes in the region, a nice fireplace in room, and generally excellent experience.

Beautiful common spaces including fire pit, bbq, bathrooms. Landscaping was beautiful and redwood trees around property made it feel like being in the forest.

Location is beautiful, set among the redwoods. Rooms are adequate. I liked that there was a sofa in the room. The pool looked nice. Didn’t try the pool because it wasn’t hot enough outside. I always appreciate a kitchen. The 420 smoking area was a plus.
AC or an overhead fan would have been nice. We had to stack fans on top of some chairs to blow onto the bed. The bathroom was small. They are updating units and the construction next door started at 7:30-8:00, too early in my opinion when people are there to relax. Rooms do need updating.

Lovely grounds, serene and lush, tranquil, pleasant people, immaculate, comfortable room, tasty breakfast. It wasn’t crowded, the other guests relished the quiet as did we, and the pool was a delight.

Absolutely no complaints ever! It’s our second time here and we love the atmosphere of Highlands Resort. The complementary breakfast is great and the rooms set a high bar for any other resort in Sonoma. The pool is beautiful , but still have not had the opportunity to go in myself….so looking forward to spending my next Sonoma trip back here again!
The city was working on the water pipes so water wasn’t available for a few hours but I can’t fault the resort; they did a great job to compensate for this minor inconvenience.

Grounds very well manicured. Outdoor showers had hot water. Nice outdoor picnic tables. USB ports on the bedside lamps was great and functioned!
People using the Honey Buckets did not quietly slam the door but just let it swing shut = loud noise.
