The lodge was absolutely fabulous, spotlessly clean and everything was brand new. Had a lovely free swim, pool was clean and nice

The only thing to be aware of is the 11pm curfew. As its accessed via a private road which closes 11pm - 7am Bear this in mind if you need to get away earlier than 7am because you cant. We attended a wedding and didn't get back until midnight, so had to get dropped off 10 mins walk away to get back.

Overall Brilliant Hot Tub and Swimming Pool great, Cafe Great And Staff very Helpfull, Best cabin we have used. Minor problems sinks small, Sofas could be more comfortable, Every thing else to are satisfaction.

I found this on booking.com as Rowan Lodge. It isn't. In fact it's a chalet in 'Rutland Caravan & Camping'. When driving up there, it was impossible to find the location. We wasted over 30 minutes until we figured out that we're not staying in Rowan Lodge. Syke's Cottages helpline wasn't useful at all. Most important and very annoying and unacceptable: There is a curfew until 07:30. It isn't possible to leave the site before 07:30. There's a locked gate along a road leading to the site. This wasn't mentioned on booking.com and came as total surprise. When I asked the warden on site to find a way to let us out before 07:30 he shrugged his shoulders. and wasn't helpful. I strongly recommend NOT TO STAY IN ROWAN LODGE and other lodges until these issues are solved.

The location was fab and lodge was very clean with some added unexpected touches. The lodge was well equipped and we had plenty of space as a family of four for a week.

The swimming pool on site was cooler than we would have liked and we thought we had a free swim incuded each day and paying £16 for 30 mins was quite steep.
