Best value you can get in LA, as long as you’re willing to share a room. A lot of folks are long-term residents (who can blame them with rents as high as they are), so this isn’t really a traveler’s hostel.

Great value for money in LA, easy access to metro system and fairly safe area for travellers. Glad we got the private 2 bed bunk room.
Not a hostel that you’d meet people, I prefer hostels that are reserved for tourists only - this one seemed to have LA residents that just wanted a cheap nights accomodation/shower ://

It’s a lovely place in a safe neighborhood easy to travel around town when you don’t have a car. Lots of good places to eat within just walking distance.

Kitchen amenities and backyard were awesome.
More bedding options; extra towels and blankets. More guest accountability when it comes to cleanliness so there isn't rotting food and random items left around. Purified water would be great.

Not very comfortable with remote management service, because guest is a low tech elderly person.

Good manager. Very good location for metro bus and tram. Close to Hollywood, Movie Studios, etc..

James, the owner and the staff are all great! They all do above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Excellent property. I highly recommend this hostel for anyone visiting LA.
