Good location, and bar downstairs do good food.

Doesn't feel safe entering and staying the night. The room was too dark. Was told breakfast is served from 8am, were told by the chef they turn up to work at 8 so aren't ready to serve till 8:30. Bathroom was also leaking in the night. Very loud in the room.

Lots of character. Lively in the evening but not noisy at night. Breakfast was very good too.

We loved the location and if we were ever in the area again, we would be back to stay again. We felt that the room was very good value for money.

We couldn't get the TV to work, it was late when we got back to the room and we didn't like ringing anyone for help with this issue.

Staff were really friendly, bathroom was lovely.

The bed wasn't very comfy, which was the main downside for the price.

I can't remember specifically asking for a quiet room. Anyway the room overlooked the street at the front and on a Saturday night there was a lot of nightlife noise outside until around midnight. It wasn't a particular issue as we were awake anyway. No noise from the restaurant below unless you count customers smoking in the entrance doorway

Spacious rooms, high quality to the finest detail. Quiet. Comfy beds. Range of towels and shower gels included. Sophistry of decor. Superb breakfast a la carte offering. Central location.

Great room design with sexy-bohemian vibe and many interesting interior details. Very comfortable bed and clean bathroom that includes a huge bath. Coffee, tea, water and Haribo as compliments for guests.

I had made a late reservation for a room (at 10pm), so I needed a late check-in. I didn’t receive my entrance code and had to call to a receptionist. She helped me with a code, so the problem was solved, but it would’ve been better to have them sent automatically.

The central location was excellent. We could easily walk to the several venues we visited while in the town. When I contacted the owner to request more tea/coffee it turned up within a few hours while we were out.

Too much black - walls, mugs, furniture. I'd like the room to have been brighter.

The entrance and the room were decorated with high quality and unique style! Great way to check in and out, very simple. The bathroom was beautiful and had a roll top bath. The bar downstairs was lovely and the staff were fantastic and more than happy to help with anything, highly recommend. Also, the carpark was only 120 yards away, and there is street parking until 9am for free too.

Great set up, stylish rooms and the staff downstairs at the restaurant were fantastic. Breakfast was great.

Lovely comfy bed and spacious room. Nice toiletries. Breakfast in the restaurant downstairs was delicious and the people working there were really friendly.

It needs soundproofing and double glazing. We could hear the people upstairs walking around, everyone talking and laughing down in the bar, and the road outside was really noisy with traffic and people hanging about outside a kebab shop.

The TV only worked on WiFi so if you weren’t a subscriber to Netflix,amazon etc there was nothing to watch. Not ideal! The bathroom was minuscule but clean The walls were quite thin so you hear people in the other rooms

Check in was easy and the owners had arranged an earlier check in at no extra cost. Information sent before we checked in was concise and helpful especially regarding parking. The bed was really comfortable and the room was warm even thought the temperature outside was freezing with remnants of the recent snow still on the roofs. We literally checked in had a shower and went out for the evening. It was as described. We had a lovely evening in The Castle pub (open fire and very friendly locals) and a superb meal in the Basilico Italian Restaurant a few doors down from the hotel.

The only reason I have given the review an 8/10 is a personal opinion about bedroom 6 in the attic … I didn’t like not having a window to look out of which (to me) made the room seem small and a bit claustrophobic. I know it had a velux in the ceiling so you could see outside. I didn’t like the idea of having only one escape route in case of fire which was the internal staircase (one way in and out of the bedroom). I would stay there again but would book a different room.
