As far as the house goes, it has everything that you could need. Fully stocked kitchen. Very large and roomy with lots of seating areas. Beds were comfortable. But the outside is what steals the show. You feel like you're at a very upscale resort because of the beautiful landscaping. The deck area and chairs to watch the sunrise and the stars at night were perfect. The pool was just wonderful. We could have stayed there without exploring any other areas of the island. I was worried about the beach being "across the road" but the road is really just a dirt path. Very easy walk to get to the beach. There was a lot of seaweed and debris but we found that on all of the beaches that we explored so it was maybe just a tide issue while we were there. It was honestly one of the best vacations I've had. Very positive experience with the property manager and we will definitely be back!

Reviewer Comments: Let me first say, the yard is gorgeous - there's a great view from the deck, the pool etc. The pool was fantastic however, the house, was an issue. I tried contacting the owners regarding it and was completely ignored after 3 attempts to reach them. The house was NOT CLEANED prior to our arrival. We notified our contact and was never responded to with regard to the lack of cleanliness. Everything is dated in the house, the bathrooms were awful (in the main house and the 2 other bedrooms) - I had to clean them. The kitchen is a whole other story - there was food from 2014 left in the fridge and cabinets (literally). The carpets are dirty, the furniture is dirty, the windows and mirrors were all dirty. The screens for the windows in the kitchen were disgusting. The deck needs work - boards are coming up - the wood is very old and some area's are unsafe. The entrance to the water is a short 3-5 minute walk - there is NO access from in front of the house. However, the location was great otherwise - very private! If I had received a response from the owner after she texted me looking for something, I wouldn't have written this review however, they clearly don't care about our stay, otherwise they would have responded. The pool attendants were amazing and Daniel was wonderful as well. Even cut up some coconuts for my daughter. The Atlantic side was great - wonderful breeze every day and listening to the waves was so relaxing. Pascale's is walking distance - Sammy was awesome - great food and drinks! overall we did have a great stay - the lack of cleanliness should have been handled and it wasn't. Bottom line!!!!

Had a wonderful week on the island and the stay at the owls roost made it that much better. The house was great. Such a beautiful piece of property and well described. The house is well stocked to truly have a relaxing vacation. The access down to the beach was a little rough as the heavy surf had recently eroded the shoreline but with a little problem solving we had no issue. We will definitely be back. The location is perfect and we loved everything about it. Thanks again

The house has a fully equipped kitchen for cooking. If you do plan to cook, the boat comes in on Tuesdays and Fridays. So those are best days to shop, otherwise groceries could be limited. We ate out a few nights. Pascals is a five minute walk down the beach, and 1648 at French Leave Resort is a five minute drive. The only complaint I had is the beds in the bedroom with twins. I could not sleep the first night as the beds are old and hard as rocks. I used cushions from the chairs to put on the bed in order to sleep. However, that should be remedied soon. I told the owner, and she has ordered a topper for those beds. My sisters, told me the beds in the other bedrooms were quite comfortable. There has been erosion to the beach and we had to walk a ways to find a path down, but when the ground keeper came, he immediately put a ladder up for us, so we cold climb down to the beach right by the house. He even opened some coconuts for us, which are all around the property. The most disturbing thing for me was the trash washing up on the beach. This of course, has nothing to do with the house, just sad to see. The beach is very beautiful otherwise. We walked everyday at low tide. The water was warm, and waves gentle to play in. We would definitely go back, and highly recommend this property. It is in need of some TLC, but for those who love peace and quiet, it is perfect!

Exclusively isolated which was divine!! Excellent recommendations from Eleuthera Rentals. Missed Tippy’s 😢. But we’ll get that next time. Even though we were less than a week after the storm, the worst day here is better than most people experience in a lifetime. Will be returning

The place has more "aura" per square foot than most homes you will ever be in. The beach is perfect, the home setup is perfect, the proximity to Governors is great, its a perfect semi private getaway for 1-3 couples. Not to be missed.

Pictures do not do it justice. Meticulously clean, well manicured grounds, nice architectural layout (1980's upscale), perfectly maintained, well stocked. Magnificent ocean view deck. Very private. Great location near everything in Governor's Harbor. Walk to Pascals along ocean front path. Exactly what we were after for a comfortable, relaxing, vacation.

We stayed a week here in June and the property was amazing! Very well maintained and stocked. Beach access right out the back door to one the best beaches we’ve ever seen in all the Caribbean!!! Plus, calm waters with awesome reefs for snorkeling. We saw every kind of sea life, even a mom and baby dolphin who swam with us almost everyday. Loved that the house has a generator for the island power inconsistencies. We would definitely come back.

We didn’t need to explore the island with gorgeous waters and white sand, glowing pink wet right outside our door. The back patio gives sweeping views of it all and we never missed a sunrise. You are lucky if you get to stay here. I hope we get to return.

The house is beautiful and very well located. 50 steps from a beautiful private beach (not really private but we rarely see anyone) of pristine water. Fabulous! The house itself is very well maintained with a beautiful garden also very well maintained. If you like to cook or do some barbecue this is the place for you with a kitchen fully equipped with all you need (and more) as well as a brand new Weber Grill. The house is very well located as it is 5 mins car drive to Governours Harbour where you can do your shopping for grocery. We felt really taken care of by the owner's and the property manager Daniel that even complemented us with some delicious fresh fish for a wonderful dinner. Definitely a wonderful house and location. We had a wonderful time and there is nothing I can think of that missed out on our expectation. Quite on the contrary! We had a week of paradise at Owl's Roost!
