We had a great time staying at this home. It was clean, organized, comfortable, and met all our requirements. The property was right downtown in Chimney Rock with fabulous views of Chimney Rock. The 15 yard walk to the River Walk was amazing as well. We had dinner at most of the restaurants in downtown and all of them had fabulous food. The late night entertainment was fun and good thing it is not real Late night. Lol. We are in our (40’s) but go to bed early so we liked that the town dies down early. We hiked Chimney Rock, Green River Narrows, BeatWallow Falls, and of course the Riverwalk each night after dinner. We rode into Asheville and did a Bike tour, that was so very much fun ( FootHills Adventures- a must do for the ones that don’t hike. The electric bikes are fast and fun. We covered 20miles on our tour. Lastly we enjoyed the GIANT BEAR That took a leisurely stroll Past the screened in porch. Epic I say. Yes, they are there. In closing it was a great house and trip. Ian Forbus asked me to marry him so……. I said yes!

This darling house is in the perfect location to take advantage of all that Chimney Rock and Lake Lure have to offer! The house is well appointed and very comfortable with all the necessary amenities for a very cozy stay. The owners were very friendly and quick to respond when we had questions. Dining, shopping, and the river walk are steps away at the end of the driveway making for an effortless transition after a day of hiking to dinner, sight seeing, and most importantly, ice cream! If you're looking for the perfect mountain getaway, look no further!

We had the best time visiting Chimney Rock! The house was literally the perfect location! Loved sitting out by the fire pit each night, all the azalea bushes in bloom throughout the property, short walk to all the attractions and eateries. Chimney Rock State Park was the perfect hiking experience with small kids, and so many breathtaking views.

Loved the location and the house. It was perfect for what we wanted. We'd like to come back.

Can’t beat the location and views of Chimney Rock! Very quaint and comfortable. Only suggestion would be an upgrade to the beds.

four day quick vacay

The location of this cottage could not be better! Literally across the street from the park and in between the shops, it could not have been more convenient! They were so responsive to our questions and we loved it so much, we extended our trip an extra night! I will say the exterior which Is so pretty, I’d definitely not handicapped accessible. My only recommendation would be to at least install a railing up the stairs - even the most fit loses their balance from time to time😂 that being said, it was truly magical! Thank you!

Outstanding stay at this cabin right in the heart of Chimney Rock. The house was perfect for our little family getaway, convenient to all the activities in CR and surrounding area. Waking up to the perfect view of the Chimney Rock was spectacular. It was cozy and clean and super easy to access. Communication and stay were so smooth. Would highly recommend!

Such a cute little house in a great location! Walking distance to restaurants shops and right across the street from Chimney Rock State Park. We truly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this home to anyone visiting the area.

Outstanding communication from start to finish! This was a great property, right in downtown Chimney Rock. The views are awesome, right from the property. House was exactly as pictured! Very clean and perfect for me and my boys!

We enjoyed the place very much. The house was clean and tidy, the view is spectacular and it was quiet at night. We hiked during the day and went to Asheville to sightsee. The only thing to be aware of is that the house is very close to the main drag in town so it was a little noisier during the day.

The owners communicated with us every step of the way and made it such a pleasant experience. The absolute perfect location in the heart of Chimney Rock within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants! Can’t wait to go back! What a dream.

The owners of this cute little cabin have a gem of a property. You will not find a better location - as you sit on the porch with Main Street in front of you and Chimney Rock as your view. The cabin is updated/remodeled, very clean, and household amenities are fully supplied. The owners provide a welcome gift and make sure you have all the comforts of home. Everything in the cabin is in working order and well kept even for an older home. The owners send you a text the day you are scheduled to arrive and they let you know that they are available if you need anything. The only con would be for anyone with a physical disability , they should be aware that the stairs from the driveway to the house can be a little difficult to maneuver. But you are in the mountains and staying at a mountain house, so these things come with the territory. Would highly recommend that you book your stay in Chimney Rock at this little red cabin!!

I cannot say enough about this cottage. It is updated, clean and well stocked. It is also in the perfect location in Chimney Rock. The driveway is directly across from Bubba O'Leary's and you can easily walk to everything in Town. No need to worry about finding a place to park on the street. I highly recommend this cottage!

Our Family had a wonderful stay. Quick access to the shops, and restaurants. Lake Lure is an annual vacation for us, and this home was perfect. Great views, great landscape, tidy cozy home. If you want to experience all that Chimney Rock, and surrounding areas have to offer. I highly recommend this home away from home.

This was the perfect spot to explore Chimney Rock and Lake Lure! Our family enjoyed the home and loved the ability to walk just down the driveway to restaurants, gift stores, gem mining, ice cream and just tons of family friendly spots!

Book this now! Especially if you love scenic locations. This home is nestled in the side of a mountain right across from Chimney Rock where you gaze upon breathtaking views each and every time you step outside of your cabin. Eateries and shopping are both right at your front door; yet, you’re still secluded. My only word of advice would be to pay attention to restaurant hours since even in Asheville some restaurants are not open daily. Garrett, the owner, was such a customer focused host and he checked in on us during our stay. I have not ever met Garrett but he was so hospitable I felt as though we had been friends. Garrett and his wife have equipped the home with all necessary amenities and even leave guests with a small bag of creamers, shampoo, conditioner, and other items to enhance the stay. I encourage any family that loves hiking and nature to stay here! The mountains speak to the soul and this was an amazing reset for our family away from chaos of everyday work and school routines.

My family and I rented this spot for my parents' 50th anniversary over Easter, and it was everything we needed. It comfortably slept six people (four adults, two preteens). The beds were super comfortable, and the kids found the sofa bed easy to set up and take down each day. The house is set back from the busy street in Chimney Rock but it was super quiet, even outside. The yard with the fire pit felt nice and private, surrounded by spring flowers and flowering trees. We spent a lot of time out there and never wanted to leave. From there, and from the enclosed porch on the other side, we had a beautiful view of Chimney Rock and could even spot Hickory Nut Falls. The house is within easy walking distance from shopping and restaurants in Chimney Rock, but mostly we cooked on the premises. My one and only minor caveat would be that if you are traveling with older folks or those with physical disabilities, use extra caution on the approaches. You can see from the photos in the listing that this is a mountain home with stone stairs -- so this was not unexpected. All in all we had a wonderful getaway and would definitely book again!

This is a great property located in the heart of the Chimney Rock retail area. Having a rare warm weekend in February, it was an easy walk to all the stores, brewery and winery. The property itself has everything you need. Clean beds, cozy den with gas logs and all the kitchenware necessary to make a great meal. It was perfect for our last minute trip to enjoy some mountain air.
