It’s a gated community. Which made me feel safe. Very nice place to stay. It’s on the 10th floor and right near elevator. Has a heated pool and jacuzzi which was very nice because it rained on our stay here. The view was amazing when it wasn’t foggy. There is a washer and dryer on odd floor numbers 1.25 a washer or dryer. And the parking lots for non owners are down the hill with a shuttle to the building. You were allowed to unload at front door but then you had to park in the lots. Your linen and towels were provided. Our stay was fantastic and would stay again.

Well equipped kitchen! Beautiful views! The security man at the gate was wonderful. A true public relations genius. Easy going, knowledgable, friendly and helpful. The rest of the staff…maybe not so much. I’d suggest that there could be a dustpan and broom in the unit just to keep up the maintenance, and, man, get rid of that joke of a toaster! A maintenance man had to knock on the door to see if we were okay from the smell of burning bread. Really, it’s a piece of junk! Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

The view of the slopes from the 10th floor was awesome! The host maintained great communication and supplied plenty of household necessities.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Sugar Top in this unit. We've stayed in many units over the years and can say that the updates completed in this one were done well. The pillows in the master bedroom were extremely flat and just uncomfortable. We would have enjoyed more/better pillows and a few more washcloths. Just our preferences/requests - not a complaint! The owner was great responding and providing information. The unit was nicely equipped overall and very clean upon arrival. We highly recommend!

Great place, clean, beautiful views.

My daughter and I went for a few days and enjoyed our stay very much. The property was located conveniently for so many things! The staff was friendly and helpful and the property owner was extremely helpful!

My family and I really enjoyed the property and location. The check-in process at gate was slightly confusing but after that all was well. Gorgeous vistas from everywhere. The staff was always willing to talk to anyone and told me about places that I would have missed onsite. The owner had a book with the history of the property which was also very nice. I thought the parking situation was going to be an issue, but the 24/7 shuttle was always right there when needed and provided another chance to ask questions about the area.

Convenient, clean, comfortable and cozy. Plenty of space to gather with a great view and good access to Grandfather Mountain and surrounds. The property also has an indoor pool. Responsive host and easy instructions. We would stay again.

Parking was atrocious. Had a handicap parking but could not park up at bldg even though spaces were available. The shuttle is not handicap appropriate. No washer/dryer access in unit as expected when I booked unit. Sugar Employees weren't friendly at all. Appliances in the unit did not work properly i.e. toaster and keurig. Internet went out and TV only had 3 channels.

Excellent space- room enough fur all of us. Two bathrooms and a full kitchen…perfect! We loved it and would definitely stay here again

The staff are very friendly. It is a great location. The only recommendations are to have clean bedding and maybe consider a sitting area to enjoy the beautiful view. The bedding had a smell of fried food and stale cigarettes although no visible stains. The view was AMAZING but it would have been nice to sit and enjoy the natural beauty.

Everything you could ask for. Clean neat comfortable. Large and roomy.

It’s a beautiful place the owner is very responsive to the email. We also have a great time despite we are not able to get tickets since it was peak season. Love to come back. The only thing I can comment for improvement is for the cleaning people to do a better job both bathrooms have some grimes on the toilet seat we have to wipe it with Clorox. Carpet needs vacuum so many hair and not so crazy about us emptying the garbage can. I still give it a 4 since we had great time.

Check in was very late, got locked out in the hallway for almost an hour because of a bad lock. Sauna was down for 1 of our days but the room was amazing with awesome views

Everything was perfect from the time we contacted Ed to reserve the condo, to the time we checked out. Ed responded quickly to my questions, the condo was extremely clean and comfortable and the view couldn't be any better! We all had a wonderful stay and plan to return in the future!

A wonderful place to go for a nice anniversary get away! Ed was super easy to work with and I am passing his info to friends who have kids at App.

Wife and I stayed for just one week. I wish now that we stayed for two. The condo was clean, well appointed and completely stock with all the household utensils anyone would need. Being on the 10th floor allows wonderful views. Just about everyday the temperature was in the 40s in the morning but the condo always maintained a comfortable temperature of 70 degrees. No heat was turned on, we just closed the windows and slider. The situation with the parking was no problem at all. As soon as we parked our car the shuttle van was there to pick us up. The security staff were all very pleasant and friendly. Sugar Mt. is close to Blowing Rock, Boone, Blue Ridge Pkwy and so much more. We would recommend this condo to friends and family.

Ed's place was great and SUPER clean! It has everything that you would need while on vacation. Great location to Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. We will definitely be staying here again when we go back to the mountains. Ed responded very quickly as well when we had questions.

My husband and I fell in love with Sugar Top. Ed's unit was IMMACULATE, and very well stocked. Everything from the comfy beds with soft sheets (beds already made when we arrived), large soft bath towels, a beautiful kitchen with an abundance of high quality dishes, utensils and serving pieces. We felt like we were staying at a friend's place , not a rental unit. And the views from the 10th floor balcony are breathtaking. We actually woke up "in the clouds" on two mornings. The work out area on the first floor is on the small side, but the equipment was excellent. The indoor pool and hot tub area are very nice as well with great views through the floor to ceiling windows. Food Lion, Lowes Foods and Rite aid are very close at the bottom of the mountain as well as a Shell gas station. We also found a great place to eat at Nicks Pub, located in the Rite Aid shopping center. The steak and chicken dishes were surprisingly delicious ... definitely not your average bar food. Ed was so easy to work with and very responsive to any questions we had. We will definitely return to this unit on our next mountain trip.
