Great time, great place!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, layout of the rooms and size of the rooms was wonderful. Kitchen was spacious and well equipped. However, the property needs a lot of upkeep. Unfortunately we were there during the cold snap and the furnace was not efficient and for the 1st 2 days we had to put up with inside temperature of 52 degrees. Management company was very responsive, even with the holiday but nothing could be done. Even when it did warm up, the thermostat didn’t work correctly and you could never get it to shut off on the first floor, so you either had heat or cold air blowing 24 hours a day. There was also several outside doors that wouldn’t latch properly and would constantly blow open. Great location but for the price you pay, would expect the house to be in better repair.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 4 Collier Court is a beautiful home with amazing views and in a great location. This home does need some TLC. The staff at Vacation Homes of Hilton Head were professional and responsive, but this home needs work.Parking was difficult because one side of the garage was blocked with an old sofa and there was not room in the driveway for all of the cars.The heating unit on the top level did not work for two days and it was cold on that level. A company did come out to repair it and found that it had been turned off at the unit on the roof.The elevator did not work well and eventually stopped working completely, and we had some elderly family members who had trouble with the steps.The gutter by the porch on the main upper level bedroom has a leak and dripped constantly on the porch after a rain and it was difficult to sleep.The large sofa in the den was comfortable but does not have a coffee table or end table which is odd.Many of the doors do not fit the openings and do not close well.The back doors in the garage do not close or lock, so you would need to have the elevator on a different floor if you are not at home to prevent unwanted access. Most of the plates were chipped along with the glasses. The quality control process prior to check in was lacking or incomplete.

All of the family said THIS was the best time at Hilton Head. Precious memories....

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We hope this home is work in progress because we love the location. view and layout. The furnishings are really limited and the kitchen is oddly equipped. It would be great to have a gate on the beautiful deck so the spiral steps to the pool deck were not such a dangerous invitation for little ones. Having said all this, we are still going back again!
