"Best vacation ever!" Those were the words my sister used to describe her stay at The Beach Ball. My husband & I gifted a 7-day stay at The Beach Ball to my sister, brother-in-law, and their adult children's families (all in all 6 adults and 6 children ages 4-12). They had a blast! The house was clean, spacious, and close to so many activities - Botany Bay, King's Farm Market, Flowers Seafood market, Edisto Island Museum & Gift Shop, and Penn Center on nearby St. Helena Island where they learned so much about Gullah Geechee history & culture. The amenity pass at Wyndam Ocean Ridge provided hours of swimming (1 indoor/1 outdoor pool), miniature golf, etc. At the house, fun was had with hours of ping-pong, pool, tether ball, and indoor board games. Every morning my brother-in-law & two of his granddaughters fished from the beach across the street. They didn't catch anything, but that really wasn't the point. Their stay could not have been much better. Thank you, Heather, for providing my dear sister and her family with "the Best Vacation Ever".

Great house. My one and only complaint or negative comment is that the washer and dryer downstairs is up on a 3 step ledge. I found it very unsafe especially with no handrail. Other than that it's a great house for families and you can't beat the views.

We loved our vacation at Edisto at this house. There was plenty of space, house was very clean, lots of parking, easy walk to the beach. The house was great for our entire family. We will definitely come back again!

The owner was very helpful. We had a problem with the lock on the closet to the laundry room and she had someone come repair it right away. Also, had lots of toys, books, puzzles for children and my grandchildren loved that. A dead car battery and she was also helpful with that. Ace hardware to the rescue. Great stay.

We had a great family trip to Edisto. There was a big storm a day before we arrived. The owner was there during the storm and made sure everything was cleaned up before we arrived. The town of Edisto worked hard to clean up the streets before the holiday weekend. The owner communicated with us during the cleanup of the island and kept us very informed. The house was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the beach and pool. Wonderful time…just wasn’t long enough. Hope to stay longer next time.

I loved the property. I did it like the wi fi on Edisto Island that goes in and out. I also didn't care for golf carts going 10 miles her hour on main roads. I will not be returning to Edisto.

We had the most amazing time at Edisto beach! This house had it all and then some! Not to mention the perfect location for walking straight to the beach everyday! Would most definitely stay again!

Very family friendly. Lots of toys both for house and beach. Easy beach access across the street. Very little traffic. Wyndham pool pass was an added bonus.

The house had everything we needed for an enjoyable time at the beach. Heather was extremely responsive when we had questions. Edisto is now one of our favorite beaches!

The property was perfect for our group of 10 ranging in age from 5 to 85. The amenities that were included, entry to the Wyndham, Serpentarium and State Park admissions added to the beach experience. The house itself had everything we could have asked for and was very comfortable for our large and diverse group. Our family guests from Germany couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable time.

Everything from the 1st correspondence to the last with this property owner was amazing! The house was perfect!! We will never go back to Edisto without renting this exact property. The place was perfect, had Everything we needed in it. Tons of board games, DVD's, outside games etc. There's absolutely nothing I would change about it. Our family ranging in age from 1 yr old to 73 years old had every thing we needed there. I don't typically do reviews but this place deserves it! 100% recommend the house and dealing with the property owner was the best experience we have ever encountered.

We stayed for two weeks and it was so relaxing! There was plenty to do and we hit almost all of our items on the bucket list. The home was so close to the beach, it only took us a couple minutes to walk there and we could enjoy the sight and sound of the waves from the front porch. The home was fully equipped with everything, so it truly was a home away from home. We loved the layout because we could sit in the living room and still see the ocean. The master bedroom was so comfortable...we slept so well! We were close to everything...the grocery store, restaurants, and shops. Definitely worth every penny!

We had everything we needed and more. Great house. We have stayed in several and this one is on top of our list!!!

We stayed here for 3 nights in October for a triathlon with 4 athletes and 3 supporters. Lots of beds to sleep on and a great spacious kitchen and living room. Very close to the beach. Arrival was easy and the host was so easy to communicate with. We had one small issue with a toilet running when we arrived (which could happen at any house) but the owner was able to FaceTime immediately and walk us through exactly what to do. Other times I’ve been in vacation homes, it can take time for the owner to answer or you’re stuck dealing with a nagging issue your whole stay and I was impressed how quickly they made sure it was resolved so it didn’t distract our trips. Loved the labels in the kitchen. Very organized and easy for us to cook our pasta feast the night before the race. We went to Waterfront for a yummy dinner after the race and walked to Sea Cow for breakfast the next day. She was even gracious enough to let us sleep in and checkout a little bit late after our long races the day before. Great parking. We didn’t get a chance to use much of it for our short trip but it was great that all the beach items were there so you wouldn’t have to travel with them especially if you fly to Edisto. Pretty quiet town end of October and we were thankful for the town inviting us all to race there. Beds seemed comfy for athletes too.

House was perfect and had everything we needed, including an assortment of beach chairs/toys that was super convenient especially not having to pack those things for our weekend trip. Communication with owner was clear and any issue quickly resolved. Would definitely stay here again!

Went for a short getaway for kids' fall break (elementary-aged, pre-school) and was just exactly what we were looking for. Quiet beach area, wonderful state park right around the corner. Will definitely be back.

Everything that you could possibly need for the beach or to do during your vacation was included. Great place to stay. You can see glimpses of the beach from two bedrooms and the living room and it's a short 2 or 3 minute walk to the public beach access. We would love to return!!!

The property was excellent. Clean and spacious! The only downside is that my nephew left his brand new Nike's in the bedroom! When I contacted the hostess, she advised me that the cleaning staff didn't find them. This is very disturbing because they should have been found by the cleaning staff. I don't think brand new Nike's can walk out of the house without some assistance.

This property was amazing . Anything that you could need was provided. Location and open floor plan made for the perfect house. Will definitely rebook!

We loved our stay at Beach Ball. Beautiful home,. lots of rooms, lots of extras, they have a lot of fun things to do, so close to everything. The owner provides just about everything you need, we were sad to go. Communication was excellant. We look forward to visiting again.

We had a great 1st trip ever to Edisto beach. We had a group of 9 (4 adults and 5 kids) and the property had plenty of room for our group. The beach was right across the street and there was a beautiful view from the deck. There were several places to eat and a grocery store conveniently located right near the place. Heather was great with communication and making sure we were comfortable upon check-in as well as very responsive to any questions we had. Overall we had a very memorable trip and would definitely consider coming back in the future!

Its been many years since being in Edisto and it was so great to get back there!! We just had the best time at The Beach Ball!! Owner was great to work with & fast to respond to questions. Home super clean & large kitchen table great for playing games. The kitchen had everthing you would want...utensils, baking pans/dishes, small appliances, & additional frig downstairs. Our 22 & 21 year olds had the best time! Tons of games, ping pong table, pool table, beach chairs, beach wagon & so much more! Location was the best!! We walked to Waterfront for dinner, Seacow for breakfast, & the beach shops/Coots nearby. Groc store 2 min away. We were so close to beach access 2...literally down 2 houses & across the street, 2 min max walking. Plan to rebook here again!! Thanks again Heather!

The property was amazing with lots of room for our group to stretch out and enjoy Edisto. All the things you need are there, if not Food Lion is a short walk away. Nice front and back porches, lower level has extra seating area, games, and grill.

We had a wonderful stay. Plenty of room for our family of 11. I’m giving it a 5 star rating. The only other thing I would say is this- checkout was 10am which is plenty of time but around 9-9:30 they started mowing the grass while we were packing the car. It was not enjoyable having to deal with the grass being stirred up and causing our allergies to flare up. We couldn’t even have a conversation with each other outside. This should have been done after our 10:00 deadline because it was still on our time that we paid for.
