Great house and set up for a family/friends vacation. A few things to be aware of: steps can be dangerous (stones that aren’t physically attached to the ground so be very cautious when walking to the water). There is no boathouse and it is just a floating dock. If you are bringing multiple boats, you can make it work but it is less than ideal. Hot tub and outdoor space at the house we’re our favorite hangouts.

Beautiful house and lake view. Outdoor decks/terraces and seating were very dirty. Needed to be wiped down before using. Seating at the fire pit was unusable due to need for cleaning. Challenging walk to dock and lake. Path/stairs to the lake are not for young children.

Our family decided to make a new Thanksgiving tradition after Losing Loved ones this year. This house was perfect. Beautiful house with beautiful views. Does need some TLC but worked great for our family! Will Consider this house next get together!

We loved our stay in this house! It was cozy and clean! Everyone was talking about how much they loved the house, we loved being able to use the lake. And going toward the end of October was a great decision because the leaves were stunning over the lake!

We had a great family vacation. All of my family loved the house, we had plenty of room, we had 14 of us. This was our first family vacation with all of us together, with my sons now having their own family and they were all sad to leave and can't wait to do it again next year. The house was nice and clean and very organized. The maintenance man was so friendly and very nice. If there was any downfalls it would be not enough silverware and a big sectional couch would have been nice so we could sit comfortable watching a movie( but that is just little stuff). We would still go back there next year again, but you need to put a ski lift in from the dock to the fire pit..LOL...that was a killer or it just could have been that we all are way out of shape..LOL. Thank you so, so much for our fantastic family vacation and all of the memories we created. I would highly recommend your place to anyone. Once again we can not thank you enough for letting us vacation in your home.

Enjoyed all the amenities especially outdoor living areas

The house was very clean and well furnished. Our only complaint about the house was the walk to the dock/lake area. If you have anyone in your group with limited mobility they will not be able to walk down to enjoy the lake because of the distance and grade. I think this should have been called out in the listing. All in all we had a great time and made the best of it. Thank you!

We were a group of two families who thoroughly enjoyed vacationing on the lake. We’ve always gone to beaches in the past, but have come to love Lake life. There wasn’t a dull moment I would highly recommend you rent a pontoon boat to really enjoy the lake, it’s gorgeous. We liked pulling the boat up to Drifters and Mitchell‘s marina for lunch, dinner and drinks. So much to do-fish, paddle board, tube and wave run. We had 8 kids ranging in ages from 5 to 22. The house accommodated everyone perfectly older kids played pool at night and little ones with adults just enjoyed chilling out by the fire pit. We will definitely come back again great service.

The house Sleeps 14 not 16. One of our children had to sleep on an air mattress. One of our college student children left a bag of laundry at the house by accident and we left three voice messages with the pm, trying to get it recovered right after we left, and nobody ever called us back. The house is beautiful clean in a great location other than those things I would recommend.

I really enjoyed this place with my family. We are 16 people, including teenagers, seniors and children. This place is perfect for all ages. The kitchen is good, all the rooms are comfortable and the hot tub is the best part of this place. I read people talking about the access ramp to the cars, but I didn't think it was bad. We were in 4 cars and everything went super well. Mike gave a lot of tips on how to rent a boat and it was great to do that. I plan to go to this house again soon.

Layout was perfect for our family. Hot tub was enjoyed by all! Kitchen lacked a few things, but we made it work.

We rented this home for a girls getaway. We had a great time and the house is beautiful. Everything was very clean and beds were very comfortable. Would definitely love to go back!

This property was awesome. The steepness of the driveway and the walk to the dock is no joke! The extra parking at the top of the driveway was so great to have. This gathering was to relax, love on my sister and eat good food, but that was hard to do when we first arrived. The house was not clean by any means. Snack crumbs and chunks were left behind. Floors were dirty with drippings easily seen and lastly, one of my key filters when searching the VRBO catalog - no pets allowed, however pet hair was all over the furniture. So we got to work and cleaned the food covered shelves in the fridge and freezer, swept floors, wiped down knobs and then got a little irritated...so i contacted the host. He told me to call the cleaning service and the hot tub service (which was full of algae). I did as he suggested, they came by and did a decent cleaning. It was mych needed. The hot tub (which was a focal point)was not able to be used except for once due to chemicals being off and a good cleaning, a refilled with fresh water being required. NOW with that said, let me go back to the property being awesome! The layout of the house, check! The lake view, check! The three floor levels, check! The outdoor furniture, check! The outdoor fireplace, check! The games, check! The only thing that could have improved our stay was another couch or two! A couch in basement and another couch and love seat upstairs...movie night! We'd stay again, lovely time!

We had a great time at this house. The kitchen was well-stocked and the outdoor fireplace + hot tub were perfect for a chilly long weekend over New Years. The driveway is steep, but was not a problem if you drive cautiously, and can always park at the top and walk down. The only thing that would have made it better is if there was a couch downstairs to enjoy the bonus room more.

The Kitchen stove top was out of order. No notification given prior to arrival. This was a big deal since we arrived with a lot of food for Thanksgiving meal that required adequate stove tops to prepare. Two inadequate dual hot plates were sitting in the kitchen upon arrival with a "sorry" notation. Not enough coffee cups to satisfy a group of 11. No hand mixer available. Not enough seating in the "dining area" for a group of 11. Dishwasher bottom rack was off track. The property was fine with the exception of the kitchen, which did not meet our expectations.

Good location, nice and clean property

Overall the house was great. Each couple (3) had their own floor. Only downside was the hike to the dock (~120 steps uphill) and the deck chairs were not that comfortable. Great location, close to groceries, gas...

Our group (6 people) had more than enough room to enjoy in this lakeside house. The proximity to the larger lake area made it easy to boat in and out, but it is also far enough back in its own cove that we were not bothered by lake traffic all the time. The home comes with plenty of bedrooms, a well-stocked kitchen for cooking, floats and paddleboards on the dock, and several great hangout spots inside and outside. We were impressed by the porch on the main level which has a wonderful set of Adirondack chairs and a TV. The basement was also a great place to organize gear for the dock or enjoy dinner next to the wet bar. Other people coming to this property should stay aware of a few things to make their trip completely enjoyable. First, the driveway is Steep with a capital S, so you will want to invest in carts or be comfortable backing down a rough angle to load/unload cars. Second, along the same lines, the trek down to the dock from the house is long and consists of gravel, wooden steps, and stone steps - make sure you have everything you need before you go to the dock, because it's a long climb back up! Finally - and this might have just been bad luck for us - the house was mostly clean when we arrived but parts of the bathrooms didn't look like they'd been touched up beforehand. Altogether, all of us would come back to this house if available next year (we got scooped for 2023) and we can't recommend it highly enough. Thanks very much to the homeowner for the stay!

House was perfect and had everything you could possibly need. Location is also great in close proximity to marina and restaurants.

Multiple families gathered to stay together in this beautiful home on the lake with private dock. Everything as described and pictured. Check in and check out was simple. Felt private but not a far drive to some good water front family friendly restaurants, as well as the State park where we hiked and enjoyed the sandy swimming area. Boat rental was a breeze. Would love to rent from this owner again!

Our family of 14 stayed comfortably at this house! Well equipped kitchen and an unbelievable outdoor space! We spent time on the dock fishing, enjoying the hot tub, the fire pit, and of course the game room! Grocery store close by to stock up on whatever you will need while staying in SML! You won’t regret booking this house!!

This home allowed our group so much variety in how we enjoyed our vacation while celebrating an anniversary. It was the perfect mix of togetherness and yet peace and quiet. We enjoyed this home with out the benefit of the lake so I can only imagine how much better this vacation home is in the summer. We also loved that all of our cars could fit in the driveway. PLENTY of parking.

The house was amazing and clean. The house actually only sleeps 14 and there's only one fridge. The walk to the lake is steep and the driveway is steep. Needs are very comfy, everything is updated, beautiful views, hot tub stayed warm, pool stick tips were broken. The layout is great and there was plenty of room for our large group. Would definitely rent again.

Perfect property for our family Christmas together. Nice, remote setting on a beautiful lake. Home is well appointed and spacious enough for eleven, including six adults and four teens. Rec room with pool and foosball table were very popular. Great VRBO.

This place is gorgeous, roomy and perfect for groups for 10-14 people. We relaxed, enjoyed the beautiful weather and the outdoor space was so nice.

Enjoyed the lake views. Kitchen extremely well stocked. Fireplace on cold windy day was perfect.

We absolutely loved this home. We had 5 families stay for the weekend and it was absolutely perfect. So much to do and kids didn’t want to leave!!

Really enjoyed staying here. Everything in the house is brand new and in great shape. The layout is fantastic. It’s large enough for a nice size group of people but intimate enough for you to feel right at home. The only tough part is the trek down and back up to and from the lake. It’s a pretty steep incline. Nonetheless we had a great time and would definitely visit again.

We enjoyed the home , especially the kitchen and the upper deck with TV with a wonderful view of the lake which is where we spent most of our time!!! The owner was extremely responsive and communicative to all of our questions . We look forward to future stays in this or similar properties !
