Ocean beach location convenient to many adventures. It was not clear there would be a tenant on the property grounds in the listing. It did not interfere with our stay but transparency always better than being surprised. We used all the special additions including bicycles, hot tub, beach towels and laundry machines. The yard could use some TLC but would take a nice interior over well maintained yard if had to choose. Overall the service was superior!

This property is amazing. So peaceful and close to the beaches. The owner is so kind and communicative. Will definitely return!

Sweet, clean and very convenient house. Big comfy beds and nice bathrooms. The little back yard was a great place to relax in the evening with a glass of wine. Oh and the coffee/cappuccino maker is to die for.

The house was charming & comfortable. We enjoyed the king size beds & beautiful kitchen with high-end appliances. The location is perfect for exploring SD - super easy to hop on the freeway, and it's very close to Pt Loma, Mission Beach, downtown, etc. We walked to the beach and downtown OB. There are several coffee shops & restaurants just down the street.

It was a pleasure to stay at Gabe's place. The house was very functional and immaculately clean. (Our daughter noted that it was even clean under the beds where toys are often lost). It’s in an ideal location on a quiet street, just a twenty-minute walk from the beach and ten minutes by car from Sea World and the zoo. Gabe’s responses to a couple of small concerns were always immediate and helpful. He made sure we knew where everything was and where to find help if we needed it. The beds were great--we used the inflatable queen for two grandkids, finding space for it in one of the king bedrooms alongside the bed. That allowed us the use of the living room after the children went to bed. Planes were pretty constant from 6:30 am until about 11 pm, but we didn’t find the noise bothersome. The kids actually enjoyed watching the planes and kept a tally of the airlines. The house is also quiet. We never heard the living room conversations when the youngest got up before 6 on most days. We had an excellent 4 nights/3 days in OB, and highly recommend Gabe’s place.

The Lotus Lodge had everything & more we could have wanted for our 3 night stay. Sparkling clean, comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen & two outdoor patios. Within walking distance or a short drive to everything we had time to do. Gabe responded quickly to the few questions we had & is a welcoming host. We would definitely stay here again.

This apartment was clean and the communication between myself and gabe was amazing. It’s amazingly located and was nice to be able to take a break on a quiet road.

Was in San Diego as my son was getting engaged. Lotus Lodge was perfect for both location and amenities. We especially liked the private patio. Would book again.

While owner leads with "welcoming feedback", he ended up criticizing me and refusing to replace a linen top of mine that was ruined in the laundry. The washer and dryer are second hand, rusty and exist in "shed-like- room". They are both in horrible condition. My linen top was torn and the straps shredded into pieces. While initially he said he would replace them, he refused ultimately and call them overpriced and told me it should have been hand washed. I had also requested an early check-in as we had travelled across the country with a brand new surrogate baby. He said the up-charge would be $30. I agreed to pay. When I reached out to see if the house was ready, he never answered. I drove by the house 1.5 hours before regular check-in and heard the vacuum. I went to the market instead and ended up arriving at regular check-in. He argued with me that I should pay anyway. He was very unpleasant and withdrew his original offer to replace my top. I would never rent from him again. He is not what he professes to be.

This house was immaculate and very well-kept. You can tell whoever owns. It puts a lot of love and care into it and they don’t skimp on anything. Conveniently located with access to everything in San Diego, and beyond only one block from the local food co-op or coffee stand. Lots of vegan options nearby. Host was very attentive and punctual with our request or any needs that came up. I love that the towels and bedding’s did not smell like strong laundry detergent. They were pretty much neutral. Everything in the house was all natural and or organic down to the shampoo and body wash. All in all we loved this VRBO. Well done!

Loved everything about this place. Kitchen is amazing and large. Rooms are great, living room is spacious. Gabe was great with communicating and answering right away. Nice location, everything is a short drive or walk away. Great food suggestions in the neighborhood that are a MUST try. Clean and quiet for a good night's rest. Would definitely select again.

We had a great time! First vacation in 15 years (our last vacation was our honeymoon)! Location was perfect, property was wonderfull, close to the beach amd quiet. We will definitely come back!

This property was so much fun close to everything and then walking distance to a really Nami organic co-op grocery store.

We chose the Lotus Lodge because it looked lovely and was a 10 minute walk to a Padel club. The house was perfect for 2 couples. Gabe gave us great restaurant suggestions. We would stay again.

This property was everything our group of 4 needed and more! Beautifully and elegantly decorated, modern appliances, perfect living space, personal space, and so much more. We were close to everything we wanted to do. We walked to some fantastic restaurants, rode scooters to the around the neighborhood , and was within 10 minutes driving distance to mission beach, and 3 minutes to ocean beach pier. Can’t wait to stay here again.

The Lotus Lodge was EVERYTHING we needed for a last-minute staycation! The space was beautiful and the perfect size for our group. It felt like a home away from home. And the mattresses – felt like sleeping on clouds! Gabe was super easy to get along with and great at communicating. He is an awesome host and you can tell that he cares about creating a clean, comfortable listing, as well as being a friendly and helpful part of your VRBO experience. I would definitely recommend the Lotus Lodge to any family or friends that are looking to stay in the San Diego area!
