This is our second time in this amazing house with windows in the living room, dining, and bedroom such that you can see the ocean and the curve of the cove at all times, and of course hear the ocean. We loved being able to walk right down to such a fantastic beach that was never crowded. Piper was great to work with and responded to our few questions immediately. We had a very restorative and relaxing time at this beautiful place. Unexpectedly, we got to experience two whales spouting just a few yards off the shore at Gualala Point Regional Park Beach. This was quite thrilling. And as bird lovers, the frequent flocks of pelicans flying directly overhead and numerous songbirds feeding at the property were a real treat.

Everything here was perfect! The place clean and well stocked with everything we needed to cook, play games and enjoy the beach. The beach at the bottom of the steep stairs was cool at low tide and we also enjoyed a short drive to Point Arena and the beach there was nice too. Sitting in the hot tub looking at the ocean with coffee in the morning was great but seeing the stars and hearing the waves from the hot tub was Amazing! We would definitely love to come back.

This is an ideal location if you are looking to disconnect and unwind. We had everything we needed to recharge: views, whales, hot tub, rainbows, stars. A very special place.

We loved exploring around Gualala and when it rained there was nothing better than sitting in the living room sipping hot chocolate watching the huge storms come in off the Pacific while reading a book. Thank you for making our stay so nice. PS. The biscottis were an excellent touch!

Surprisingly comfortable. Surprisingly close to the ocean. The best surprise was the clear nights with the Blue Moon turning the waves to silver. We could enjoy the views via the big, clean picture windows. Our thanks to t h e host for providing an immaculate vacation rental.

The house is clean and comfortable and located at the beach. But this is not just any beach - it’s a secluded sandy cove in the otherwise wild pacific coast, where the redwood forest comes within a couple of hundred yards of the ocean. We utilized the hot tub, grill, deck chairs and full kitchen, and were also grateful for the binoculars and nature books. We ventured daily to other nearby shorelines which involved everything from easy strolls to more rugged hiking. This is a great location at which to discover the majesty od our country!

Our stay was amazing, the property was even more beautiful than we anticipated and Piper was great to communicate with. One of the most relaxing and recharging vacations we’ve ever been on. This is definitely one of our favorite places we’ve stayed at, we’ll be coming back for sure!

The pictures don’t do it justice. We were celebrating our anniversary and it is a great place to relax and unwind. The birds and Hummingbird Moths were fun to watch. We were very disappointed to leave. A true gem! Thanks for letting us share your wonderful home!

This place is a great escape for us, being able to walk down to the beach is great! And the view is Amazing!

This charming house is a wonderful place to stay in the Gualala/Anchor Bay area. The view is spectacular. The house is clean, comfortable and very well stocked. There is a bird feeder in the back, which attracts many types of birds. The hot tub was wonderful. Sitting in the hot tub and looking at the stars was definitely a highlight of the trip. The stairs to the beach are a little unsafe when you get near the bottom. The wooden stairs end and then it is concrete and rocks. There is no handrail and a missing step. It is doable, but you need to be careful. This is a really nice house and I would stay here again. Piper was great to work with.

My husband and i had the wonderful good fortune of staying at this lovely home with stunning views of the ocean and its own private beach this summer. The home itself is wonderful, too, with the master bedroom facing the ocean and a super’comfortable living room with window seating looking out to the ocean. There’s no better sleep than being able to hear the ocean waves lapping away in the distance. Viewing the night sky wirh all its glorious stars from the hot tub perfectly lovated on the deck was magical and deeply relaxing. Truly it was hard leaving the house to go sightseeing because there was so much beauty and birding roght in our own backyard. And Piper, the host, was excellent, highly accommodating and very resourceful and kind. We can’t wait to comeback to this magical home!

The cottage was everything it was described and more. Perfect spot to make as the home base to visit neighboring beach towns and local hikes. We hit perfect weather and a full moon which made it all the more magical. We will definitely be back!

When you drive into the driveway, you immediately know it's a special place. From the deck or hot tub saw whales, seals, sea lions and river otters. Home is cozy, comfortable and thoughtful, the description is accurate. We just loved it and will visit again.

I was in need of time away to take a break from life's recent challenges. This home was the perfect choice for me. Location: secluded (no neighbors to speak of), easy highway access. Extremely clean and well maintained in every aspect! (Even the windows, which is rare in the Gualala area.) The hot tub and view sealed the deal for me. Stunning view and private stair access to the beach below. I cooked most meals in the well appointed kitchen. (I'm now upgrading my home pans to the same ones I used in the kitchen.) The home is on the quaint side (small-ish), which was perfect for me, and would be for a couple as well. The bed I slept in was the most comfortable bed I can recall sleeping in. This was the perfect house for the getaway I was looking for. I'm keeping this house on my short list!

The view was amazing, which was the main reason we rented the place. ! The home was well equipped, and the up to date appliances worked well. Had some issues with the toilets but they did work. Streaming tv services were spotty but I am sure because of the location.

Spectacular view. Exceptionally clean. Cozy and nicely decorated. Enjoyed the hot tub and the fireplace. Well-equipped with everything you might need. Just a couple items we would suggest changed - Commodes. One didn't work and they are really low for older folks. Add some higher chairs for the deck. The Adirondack chairs are hard for some of us older folks to get out of. Enjoyed our stay will be back when the weather is nicer. Steve and Mavis

My partner and I had a wonderful time staying here. We had beautiful weather(which is a first for our stays in the area around this time of year), we were able to spend hrs exploring the beach and tide pools. So many abalone shells to be found! We really enjoyed being able doing to do that not in the rain. But our most favorite thing to do at this house is sitting in the hot tub at any time of day or night and taking in the view and or many stars. This visit we saw 2 days of whales! The house is small, cozy, and perfect. Amazing view from main room and master bedroom. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook our food. The host was great about sharing places to eat and places to go to in the area. Also let us know there was a festival happening during our weekend and a couple days into our stay let us know whales were in the area. My partner and I can’t wait to return to this gem of a property!

Beautiful view and adorable cottage. There are lots of amenities such as towels, tissues, and notes to clarify how things work. The visits by the birds and squirrel were enchanting! And the beach was fun to explore.

I can’t say enough about this wonderful home on the bluffs with steps down to a beautiful beach. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay here from the magnificent views, to the soothing and exhilarating sound of the waves, the blazing sunsets, the many birds (different from ours at home) that came to the feeder and birdbath in the yard, the comfy beds, couch and recliners, and an efficient fireplace with plenty of available firewood. The kitchen was well appointed, which we always appreciate, and the house was immaculate. Piper was really helpful and responsive, rounding out the perfect coast getaway.
