My friend and I decided to do a quick getaway and selected this location, which was only a little over an hour's drive away. We enjoyed the A/C (it was so hot outside), and the kitchen was very nicely appointed. The shower had great water pressure, and there were plenty of basic supplies on hand (spices, oil, TP, etc.). It was also very nice to be able to park in the driveway. We didn't even visit the beach (although we could have because it was just a short walk away). We were there to knit and enjoy our girl time. It was a great getaway. We would both return. If walking up steps is difficult for you, it's not a good property to rent because there are several steps to go up to reach the living space. Fortunately that wasn't an issue for us. If it isn't for you, either, I highly recommend the place.

My husband, sister and I needed a place to stay last minute for my father-in-law's funeral. So not the happiest occasion but Jeanette was such a pleasure to work with it made everything less stressful. She was very responsive and extremely helpful. The house is even cuter in person. It is very clean and in the perfect location.

We only needed a single night on a return trip from Florida to Pennsylvania It was above, and beyond what was described! Everything is exactly it appears in pictures, but it’s missing the feel when you’re actually in the house… It is very cozy, and has a very warm feel to it! The beds are comfortable, the living room is a great place to kick back especially if it’s 98°F. :-) The kitchen is comfortable and easy to use, and the washer dryer was a very big bonus, because both were very easy to use, and were a quick wash and a quick dry! We didn’t get to enjoy the outside amenities due to our brief stay and the high temperatures, but we had fun just looking at everything :-) There is a Publix grocery store in close proximity and if you want a delicious breakfast or lunch, try the Cinnamon Tree Café :) If we need to stay in this area again, this would be our first choice!

The home was in a perfect location, well equipped for a few days at the beach. We will check on availability if we travel that way again. Couldn’t be happier with our stay there.

Our family spent our spring break down in Daytona from North Carolina. Jeannette was super responsive ahead of our trip relating to some questions I had about whether our most preferred attractions in the area had sustained any hurricane damage. The house was immaculate and smelled SO good. It was centrally located to everything we wanted to do and because we drove and had a car, getting around was easy. I'm not sure how accessible city transit would have been for someone coming by plane, so I can't speak to that, but Jeannette would definitely answer them promptly and thoroughly. The house was well stocked with all the toiletries we needed, including a great variety of coffee, which I enjoyed each morning on the porch along with a gorgeous view of the bay. The beach was just a short walk across the main strip--there was a caddy and some beach supplies provided by the host, including sunscreen, beach towels, a surf board, and some other things which we didn't end up using. I was pleased with how quiet the neighborhood was at night considering the central location. In case of rain, or if you need a little break, there's a good selection of family board games and tvs in each room. There was a nice fire pit area for guest use, but unfortunately at the time of our visit, there was a burn ban in place by the city. For any meals we had in, the kitchen was well stocked with all the dishes and cookware we needed, and all the appliances were up to date and worked well. Outside of the home, we visited the speedway for an all inclusive tour of the track and the Nascar museum, which my son and husband both enjoyed very much. We highly recommend heading down to the boardwalk, there are great shops and restaurants, and the atmosphere on the beach was absolutely perfect when we went. We also went down to the other end of the island to Daytona Parasailing and parasailed as a family for the first time. If you don't do anything else in Daytona, you MUST fit that into your agenda. Lastly, we went to the water park at Daytona Lagoon and had a BLAST. By the time the water park closed at 6, we were too worn out to do the fun park which had attractions like an arcade, go karts, putt putt, and laser tag. The couple of other things we intended to do Sunday were closed because of the Easter holiday, so that was just a planning oversight on our part. 10 out of 10 would recommend staying here if you're in Daytona with the family.

Can't say enough about this location. So clean and vast number of amenities. Short walk to beach and coffee shop. Owners were so nice and shared great tips on restaurants, fishing and beach gear. Would definitely book again.

Single female and was concerned about safety as i would have been by myself (in town for a wedding). This location was perfect and it made me feel better knowing the owners were right next door. Property was clean and quaint and it is a plus that Starbucks is walking distance in the mornings! Would stay here again

The home was beautiful very warm and inviting. Don't worry about forgetting something as the home provides everything for you. We will definitely be booking another trip.

Yes, my partner and I had yet another wonderful stay at the cottage house. Built in 1930, it has been well maintained with plenty of wood finishes. . We especially enjoyed walking a short distance and having dinner at “ Down under”

My husband and I visited for a few days and brought our 10 month old daughter. It was so nice not to have to bring our own pack n play or high chair! The house is very lovely and beach-themed, conveniently located close to the beach and Dunlawton Ave (there is also a Starbuck's two buildings down, a convenient walk if you are a coffee lover!) We didn't spend much time on the porch because of the heat (hopefully we can come back when it is cooler), but it was nice to sit in the living room and look out to see the river across the street. It was thoughtful of the owners to have beach chairs, towels, and sunscreen available. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay...also, everything was so clean and comfortable!

This was a great place for us to stay while visiting local family. Very clean and nicely decorated--has a very rustic feel but with modern touches. Location is very convenient with nice views of the Halifax river. If I'm nitpicking, only downside is proximity to a busy intersection that can get a little noisy at certain times of the day. But overall, the owners were great and we were very happy with our stay!

Lovely space, and tons of amenities. The house is clean, comfy and cozy, and we were able to relax and enjoy our time here for the long weekend. It was everything that we hoped for, and more!!! We are already looking forward to when we get to stay here again! With the owners right next door, it would have been easy to have any problem fixed, but we did not need anything.

This charming and cozy cottage was a perfect spot for relaxation and enjoying the area. The property itself, with its hardwood floors and paneling transports you back to a simpler time. It is equipped with wifi, washer and dryer as well as a backyard grill. Be sure to spend some of your time on the front porch where you can see the Halifax River and watch as boats go by.

This rental gave us everything we needed! It was clean, conveniently located, and had anything and everything we could have ever needed for our trip to the beach. Jeanette was wonderful and so kind. I would absolutely stay here again and again!!

We came in for the Daytona 500 and it was perfect for our group. The hospitality of the owners was top notch! If we come back to the race we will look to stay here again. So many things to do close by and in walking distance.
