We so enjoyed our stay! The hosts seemed to have thought through every detail to make guests comfortable. Everything was labeled and easy to find. The water equipment was all clean and ready to use (we loved canoeing on the lake!).The house had wonderful views and good books to read on its incredible porch. This time it was just adults, but we look forward to coming back and enjoying this special place with our kids. Thanks so much for the hospitality!

This was a wonderful place for a quiet getaway for 3. Lovely view of the lake and very convenient to beautiful trails and falls.

We were looking for a short getaway from the stresses of life and found it at the House on Blue Waters. It was a quiet clean place to stay with wonderful hiking trails close by. We hope to visit again!

We loved staying at the small house on the Lake. The property has many different areas to enjoy the outdoors and Kayaks we used even when the weather was cold. Would love to come back sometime during summer time in the future to fully enjoy the lake. It was very peaceful and relaxing which is what we were looking for to do. I only wished the house had a dishwasher because my hands get extremely dry during winter time, but again the Lake views were stunning specially during sunsets so it was worth it the stay just for that :) I will definitely go back during summer time.

Nice quiet getaway for Thanksgiving

Wonderfully warm and often full sun for most of our stay (late October). We enjoyed trying the two kayaks, then settled on the square stern canoe for a couple of longer trips (6 miles each). We hiked several trails in the general area, and had a very pleasant Halloween evening dinner at Tapoco Lodge & Tavern. We made a longer drive to Maggie Valley to visit the Wheels Through Time motorcycle museum. Among the conveniences we enjoyed were the coffee maker, the gas grill on the outdoor deck, and the laundry room. The house was well appointed, quiet, and clean. The view to the west, from the kitchen/dining room/great room, through the large sliding glass doors was wonderful. And of course, sitting outside on the deck to watch the sun set was amazing. The comfort and convenience of this house helped to make our honeymoon memorable!

Our stay at house on blue waters was nothing short of amazing. The house was clean, the neighbors were friendly and the added perks of having access to the kayaks and such was a huge hit with the kids. We def want to book during the summer!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at House on Blue Waters. We felt right at home, and the hosts had things we needed for our stay, such as dish soap and a new sponge, which is a plus. When we had a question, they were quick to respond. And, oh, the view! We probably could have spent our entire time in NC on the deck, on the dock, or on the water and been content. We've stayed in many rentals across the USA, and I have to agree with my husband that this is one of the best!

The house was very clean with a lot of light and great view of the lake and mountains. Several decks and a dock to enjoy the lake. We had a wonderful vacation, I highly recommend this property. Many activities in the area, make sure to visit the Tapoco Tavern.

This is a great place to stay with all the water toys you could ask for! The house is clean and open with fantastic views from all rooms and plenty of space for guests to relax and chat either inside or outside. We focused on time at the water and all the kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, canoes and lily pad gave us plenty of options for things to do. A huge perk with this home is the amazing organization of all these different toys! They are easy to get to and get out in the water, but also helps them stay clean and ready for use from the next guests. The deck area has multiple seating areas depending on if you want sun or not and the dock was perfect for these hot summer days in the water. The home was very comfortable for us overall and Mark was very clear with communication and asks for the check-out process. We hope to be back again!

We love staying at the house on blue waters. It has everything we need including laundry and an amazing view. I have dozens of pictures from the deck as I watched the clouds dance and the sun set. We will be returning next year for our 3rd year.

We fell in love with this property last summer and couldn’t wait to return this year. We enjoy how peaceful Lake Santeetlah is. All the amenities offered at this property allow you enjoy the lake to the fullest. From paddling to watching sunsets on the dock, there is never a dull moment. Communication with the owners is always quick and they provide the most relaxing experience. Our family is already counting down the days until next summer. It truly feels like a home away from home.

Everything was as expected! The house comes with amazing views and is clean, quiet, well organized, and stocked with all the things you could possibly need to make yourself at home. We found it centrally located for all of our needs and overall a wonderful place to relax. If any, the only negative could potentially be parking if you were needing to park more than one vehicle.

The cabin was very clean, beds were comfy, and they had all the water toys you would want. We took the canoe out and fished of the deck. I’ll highly recommend this cabin!

Lake Santeetlah is a very relaxed place to take a break from the daily rat race. The property is ideally located and well appointed with the necessary comforts. Everyone we met at the lake was very friendly and helpful. A truly relaxing break.

Loved this place. The view from the back is easily the best out of all the other homes in the cove. The interior is very comfortable with lots of room and a well stocked kitchen. It may have just been the time of year but it was very quiet around the cove and incredibly peaceful. It’s perfectly located around the nearby scenic drives as well so it’s an ideal location.

Our stay was over the arctic cold Christmas weekend. We couldn’t have been in a better place. The stunning views of the lake surrounded by mountains was breathtakingly beautiful. The cabin was cozy and warm- and the gas fireplace added the perfect touch. Everything was clean and comfortable. Planning to return in summer months for life on the water experience. Can’t wait.

You will not want to leave this amazing cottage on the lake. The views were truly amazing! The memory foam mattress was very comfy and the kitchen was fully stocked. The cottage is close to many hiking trails and a grocery store is just five minutes away. Great communication with the host! Thanks for an enjoyable stay!

I often am disappointed upon arrival to find that a rental has been glamorized by the photos and copy, but is not what we’d expected. This place exceeded my hopes. Clean, bright, attractive living spaces. Comfortable beds. Excellent appliances. The kitchen is well supplied with dishes and cookware. The view is gorgeous and can be enjoyed from three outdoor spaces—two decks and the dock— that are easy to access. The boats and paddle boards offer all kinds of ways to explore the lake and enjoy the water. The owner was consistently kind and hospitable, and responded quickly and helpfully to all my questions. This lake offers clear, clean water for swimming. While we didn’t catch any fish, we did receive a visit from three curious otters.

Enjoyed everything about this place. I loved that I could sit on the deck with a cup of coffee and enjoy the view of the lake or i could go sit on the dock and enjoy also. The kayaks and paddle boards were definitely a plus! We didnt haved to worry about hauling our water toys! Overall it was a great vacation! I definitely will return!

We had a great stay. The house was clean with lots of sunlight and gorgeous lake views from the house, deck and docks. An added bonus was having a fully stocked kitchen for making meals and access to paddle boards.

We have stayed at four different homes on Lake Santeetlah over the years and this was our favorite. We hope to book it again next year!

We had the best/ most relaxing vacation while staying here! The whole family agrees, we’d like to make it a yearly trip. The property was clean and provided us with lots of exciting water activities and amenities without having to leave. A short paddle away was a rope swing and jumping rock, which made for an extra fun day with children. The view was incredible and had the loveliest sunsets! Plenty to do in the surrounding area as well, even though we never wanted to leave the lake. I suggest checking out the waterfall nearby and driving the Tail of the Dragon. We can’t wait to return!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the lake house. The property is situated at a beautiful cove of the lake with a fantastic swimming dock, decks and lots of great boat equipment (paddle boards, canoes, kayaks) for the family. Recommended. Thank you.

The lake house was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The owners provided everything you could possibly need from a fully equipped kitchen to lots of lake toys. Check in and out was extremely easy and Mark was easy to communicate with. We had a very relaxing vacation. Thankyou
