The houses were clean and supplied with everything we needed. We especially liked being able to access each unit through the upper deck so we were separate but together. We were traveling from out-of-state, & arrived earlier than check-in time. We took a gamble & called to see if our unit was ready early, & it was! We absolutely loved our stay here...the location was great, steps away from the beach, & close to restaurants. Had to call the front desk one late afternoon bc my husband accidentally dropped his wedding ring beneath the wooden planks of the outdoor shower. They had someone come the next morning to retrieve it for him! Overall, it was a great week...would highly recommend!

Basic accommodations but clean and functional which is exactly what we wanted. Unique view! Not ocean front but you can see the ocean in the distance and the bay from the same window! You can also see the lighthouse if you stretch a little. Only minor issues were that it was a little close to the road and road noise and didn't have an in house washer and dryer.

But unexpectedly lacking in typical "house" rental supplies. Beds are unmade - which is fine, but when we went to make the bed there was no bottom sheet. There were just a few plates and cookware. The bowls and glasses were all extremely dirty - had to soak and scrub. Didn't notice the lack of dishes and the dirt before going to the grocery store so made two trips the first night, the second to get things like tissues, salt, paper towels, dish soap, etc. There's no beach supplies at all. A couple junk chairs would have been nice. Door locked us out 20 minutes prior to check out time. We lost an item which probably wouldn't have happened if we hadn't been locked out. Probably fine but would have been good to know ahead of time. Sounds like huge complaints but these were just small annoyances that sort of added up. Would definitely rent again and I'll also add the office folks were great, but bring ANYTHING you think you'd need including napkins, chairs, etc. This is a pretty remote area which is probably why the lack of furnishings - again all fine as long as you know beforehand. But the location is unbelievable and can walk to most places - several stores and restaurants and the Hatteras light house.

We were in a duplex with a kitchen, living area, two bedrooms and bunk beds in a hall space. We were extremely comfortable overall. Two persons for the king bed, and two would be comfortable with the queen. I had two fully grown sons along, so one slept in the top bunk bed. Other than privacy, he had no complaint. The only issue we ever have at this location is that the people who fish dominate the beach, casting multiple lines from the beach and blocking access for nonfisher people. Regardless, we'll be back.

Due to their advice to wait until 2 weeks before the trip( I was hoping to get a Jr. suite) I was not able to get insurance for our trip. Since the island was shut off to visitors I assumed we could use our trip price to reschedule. Lighthouse View kept the full amount of our scheduled trip. They charge you the full amount the day you book your reservation. So we lost all of deposit $1000. I sent an email asking to reschedule never heard a word back, just their charge on my credit card for the full reservation, we were very disappointed with this location. IT was suppose to be a trip with our grandson that we were not able to take due to a hurricane and the island being closed. We are very unhappy with everything because we didn’t get to stay there and they kept all our money . They didn’t offer to reschedule us either.Therefore I can’t comment on property condition, location or cleanliness due to the fact we couldn’t go.

The only downside was that the refrigerator had the lingering aroma of fish, and the placement of the master bedroom is next to the road. I was really grateful for covered parking, again because of the rain.
