This house was perfect for our group of 10 (6 adults and 4 kids). It is well furnished, well kept, and in a great location, close to Blackwater Falls, Dolly Sods, Canaan Valley Resort State Park, and Seneca Rocks. We loved it!

Upon arrival we found that the house was air conditioned. There was no mold smell--something we have encountered many times in the past. In fact we all agreed that this house was the winner of the annual "house competition" and will try to book it for next year's reunion.

So easy to simply hop on Lower Dew Drop and ski down to the lifts, it doesn't get any better than that. Only wish there was a hot tub, that would make it even more complete. Until next year!

Best ski rental ever!

We love this place. Ski in, ski out off the deck, kitchen greatly equipped. Ample room for kids to play and watch skiers go by the window. Does need all the toilets “flappers” changed and toilets adjusted. I am sure the water bill shows the results of toilets running.

This property was exactly what we wanted. So close to the slopes and big enough for our family of 12 to get quiet time when needed.

The house was great,very clean. I love the fact that we had plenty of towels. The children had a lot of room to play. The kitchen was great and plenty of room for everyone to sit together to eat. The weather was wonderful in August no less. The beds were very comfortable. We loved the Jacuzzi bathtub. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Would love to come back again.

Lots of space and a huge deck to enjoy the beautiful weather. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you needed to cook and enjoy our time here. The house was clean and comfortable. The only things that were not convenient was the stairs into the house with my elderly mother and a hot tub would be nice. But like I said in the opening line.... Best house yet.

We had a great time here. One thing we didn't realize before arriving is that the place does not have AC; however, that ended up not being too big a deal since the Summer is so mild here.

The house was well equipped and suited our needs and comforts. We did not leave the house for any other reason than to ski. Only downside was the jacuzzi in the master bedroom did not work. (Would have been nice for these old bones!) Everyone was very nice and helpful. We would definitely go back.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There were some pros and cons. The main floor was nicely updated and we loved that the table seated 10. The fireplaces with wood provided were a nice touch. The location was very pretty in the Fall although a bit remote. However, the basement, which had 3 of the 5 bedrooms, smelled badly of mold. It bothered our friend's asthma, and we had to leave the windows open all day to try to air it out before sleeping with it at night. The security alarm was broken and started beeping every night in the middle of the night at two different times. Both times my husband had to get up to disarm it. We were told after that the owners were aware but couldn't get anyone to fix it, yet there was no warning or details of how to disarm provided, we had to call to get help. Also we were told on the app to check in at one location, and then told that we were at the wrong location and to go down the road to check in. This information should have been updated on the app. Finally, we had to load all of our trash from the weekend into our already-full cars when checking out and drive it 3 miles to a dumpster or be charged a $25 fine. I have never had to do this for a rental, and there should have just been a trash bin provided on the property.
