The home provided all necessary amenities and then some. Host responds very quickly and had answers to all my questions. My daughter saw a black bear out the living room window the first day we were there. It is pet friendly but very clean. It stirred up my allergies a bit but nothing major. Plenty of games and things to do inside on a rainy day. Tons of options on the television. It’s more private than some of the comparable properties in the area. The lots on each side are wooded so you don’t see the neighbors. The hot tub was very clean and has a nice view of the woods and the night sky. There was also a baby fawn in the woods beside the driveway when we arrived the first day. The Dolly sods trail entrance is just up the hill from the cabin so that was the best asset for us. We really enjoyed our stay.

We came with expectations of hiking, biking, and cooler weather and Daisy's Den didn't disappoint. The accommodations were spacious, clean and welcoming to our little clan. Access to Dolly Sods was approximately .65 miles up the hill and once there we could hike to our hearts content. Blueberries were in season and very tasty surprise we all enjoyed. Everyone we dealt with at the rental office and neighborhood was pleasant and welcoming. Its a place we would definitely like to revisit.

Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at this thoughtfully appointed, comfortable home filled with arcade games, a back deck and hot tub, a deluxe foosball table, games and modern accommodations. The reasonably complete kitchen came equipped with a wine cooler and decent appliances; beds were comfortable; the modern fixtures and window treatments functioned well. The hardwood floors helped our allergy sufferers and pets stay together. Only issue was that the place was not particularly clean; the refrigerator had dirty condensation coils and was not functioning properly.

We stayed a week and family came for the weekend. Everyone loved the cabin. It's clean and comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need. The arcade games were fun and the internet worked well. Went hiking all around the area and discovered that we could hike up the slope from Daisy's Den to a trail leading into Dolly Sods Wilderness!

Everything in the home was great. The House was up a steep section of road - my guest had to get chains for front tires of his front wheel drive car to get up there as the gravel road was covered in snowpack. Once it partially melted and some gravel patches showed up it was fine. So four wheel drive or snow chains needed if road is covered in snow. Our only complaint is they didn’t remove as much snow off the deck as they should have so you could safely use hot tub and grill - there was a shovel there and we did it ourselves -as we used hot tub first afternoon there and every day of our stay! When we had questions Best of Canaan was always available to answer them! Would stay here again and use Best of Canaan managed properties.

Place was wonderful! Lots of games for the kids. Access to slopes was as wonderful as I hoped. What a great experience!

Reviewer Comments: The location to the slopes are the best IF the Timberline was operating. Be careful if you are like us and like to be frugal with your money. We came in on a Sunday to have less crowds and save money. This was a first time renting slope side after many years of skiing here and we were very excited. Only to be told Sunday afternoon that Timberline would be closed. This is not the fault of the owners but it does need to be made aware to other renters like us. We brought another family for their first time and I had been taking it up and I felt horrible that we all spent more money to stay on the slopes.Just be careful!

This home is the perfect ski in/ski out location. We loved playing the arcade games during down time, and the kitchen was perfect for preparing family meals before heading out for a run.

Slopeside location was fantastic for 3-night trip to Timberline. Skiing was solid, crowds manageable (even on holiday weekend) and hot tub and gas fire provided primo apres ski entertainment. House was clean and well appointed. Would definitey stay again!

Great space for two families to enjoy and easy ski in ski out to a green run. The warm temp control room for the skis and gear was a nice touch for next day dry wears! Hot tub stayed Uber hot even during freezing temps

It was fun watching them all gather and prepare to ski too! We also made use of the bunk beds by allowing four of the grandkids to stay with us each night. Four boys loves playing goose ball and all the other games. Four little girls made teddy bears and played games too. The four older girls made friendship bracelets and had popcorn and movie night. It was a wonderful way to spend Christmas with all of the family yet not on top of each other! The cabin was spectacular on every level...the only downside was the icy, slick driveway!

Smooth check in, property exactly as described in listing and most importantly beautiful location slopeside at Timberline. For us as fall visitors this meant walking right out the back door for dog walks up the mountain! Kids loved foosball table and video games, adults loved hot tub and well-stocked kitchen.

Lots of fun games, including old arcade games from the past that make for fun contests with family and friends. The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials along with items you can't always be sure you will always find at a vacation home, such as a blender, crock pot and big pots to cook for a big group. It's great to be right on the slopes, even when it's not ski season, as there's a ready made trail to walk and enjoy the scenery. Great places to walk your dog from this pet friendly location.If you are coming in the winter, be sure your car has 4 wheel drive or chains, as the last bit of road to the house is very steep and could be a little harder to get to in the winter.All in all a great spot for a fun long weekend.

We really did use all the amenities: foosball table, PacMan video game, hot tub, grill, garage for bikes, etc. The Salamander Trail location was ideal for evening hikes with plenty of deer sitings and photos. With the help of a friendly neighbor, we were able to find an unmarked trail leading to the Dolly Sods Wilderness area.The website caution about the steep gravel access road is no joke, even during the summer. We were initially unable to reach the cabin in our fully loaded front-wheel drive SUV. I had to reverse up the hill in order to gain enough traction. Subsequent trips up the hill with an unloaded vehicle were much easier.If you are new to Canaan Valley, you should know that area gets plenty of rain during the summer. The weather app on your phone leans towards the pessimistic side, so it's best to ignore it and get outside when the weather allows. Local mountain bike riding were more limited than I hoped due to the muddy trails, but I didn't mind because the hiking was fantastic.

We enjoyed our stay at Daisy's Den. The game room was great for the kids. The kitchen had everything we needed. The hot tub was great. The deck furniture wasn't comfortable and could be improved. Game room would be better on lower level.

My family, which includes our beloved dog, had the best time. It felt like being in a tree house with all the perks! View of the trees and wild life from every window. Awesome arcade game room, hot tub and cozy fireplace. Great internet connection and lots to do close by. Highly recommend horseback riding down the road. Would definitely go back!

Great house. Had fun with my 3 sisters. Complaints- 1 you have to drive to the rental agent to pick up the key that is just a code to open the doors. This code could easily been sent in a email or text. 2 there was a mouse in the wall or ceiling in the kid room that made lots of noise at night. We told the rental agent and they said they would take care of it. Other then these two, the place was nice and clean.

The house was clean and had everything we needed. The kids loved the arcade games and we loved the hot tub. Close to lots of great hiking trails and the town of Thomas was a cool surprise with lots of art and live music. Would stay again

We enjoyed the hot tub and the kitchen and bedrooms were stocked well with dishes, blankets, etc. Kids loved the games. The road was tricky until the plow came through even with 4 wheel drive. Clean except where the bean bags were you could tell they hadn't moved them to sweep floor. We'd definitely stay again!

Ski in ski out was awesome. Very nice home/rental for a family with all ages. Definitely would recommend and stay again. Only complaint is the master bedroom stayed 61 degrees with the heat on 70. Plus did not receive check in/check out email. Even checked spam/junk mail. Had to call the host. However, you’ll be very pleased with Daisy Den.

We had a great time. The property is excellent. The kitchen is very well stocked. Being next to the ski trails is perfect. Being able to walk up to the trail and "click in" and ski down to the lifts was perfect!
