I stayed here with 9 of my friends last week and we loved the place. The house is huge with 4 floors, lovely and clean, right next to the coastal road so its pretty easy to get everywhere round the island, me and my friends love that itvwas minutes away from the strip with loads of bars to keep us entertained in the evenings. Janes was amazing at making sure we were well attended sorting us out quad bike hire and excursions. Highly recommend this place

The villa is amazing. We had one of the best times due to all the amazing things that the villa provides. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have an amazing experience in Malta. The owner was also cooperative and provided us with absolutely all the information we need. Thank you and we will surely be coming again

Some bits were not quite as expected - the main picture shows a gas bbq which has now been replaced by a charcoal chimnea for example, but Jane the owner was very attentive and keen to help us enjoy our break in Malta. And she even supplied brand new bbq tools so we could enjoy that. It was slightly odd that there were no food basics (like salt and pepper or cooking oil) in the kitchen - it seems every party has to start from scratch. The location was great - close to a superb supermarket and easy for the bus routes. Less ideal for the less mobile (it's on a hill) but nicely out of the busyness of the main towns and great for accessing the north of the island.

I can have no complaints with any aspect of the villa whatsoever the place was clean, the villa looks even better in person than in the photos and everything was taken care of. Any problems were sorted out extremely quickly and even though there was 14 of us and the villa says it can have 12 comfortably 2 extra beds were put in so that everyone had somewhere to sleep. The surrounding area was nice and was very close to a supermarket making getting food and drink very easy. I would definetely recommend coming to this villa as we had a great time.

The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked a few meals at the villa. The pool area was by far our favourite part of the villa, perfect for sunbathing and a dip and with a shady area with a table for a break from the sun. We didn’t use the indoor pool as we had beautiful weather for the duration of our stay. Throughout the booking, David was extremely responsive, and during our stay Jane was fantastic, always available and responding quickly on WhatsApp. The location of the villa is good for moving around Malta, being a larger group we ended up using a company called eCabs to get around, who had mini buses just a phone call away. Just a note that WiFi is charged extra which is a shame, and the check out was earlier than expected at 9:30am, however we were able to leave our bags securely locked away for the day of the check out.

The villa was very nice but there are some improvements that could be made such as the temperature of the indoor pool and the actual villa could be a lot warmer.The kids loved the games room and couldn't keep them away from it.Jane was excellent and helped us when we managed to lose our key!

8 of us stayed in this nice villa in Oct 2017. The house was very clean and there was plenty of space for us. The place was exactly as described in the advert. Communication has always been great with David and Jane and we had a fantastic time in Malta. I strongly recommend staying at this villa, It was a very positive experience for us.

We were a family group of 9 staying here in October for a family wedding event - very exciting! We were very lucky with the weather, and had a fine time looking all over Malta and Gozo in our rapid week there. The villa worked well for us: there are no ground floor bedrooms which was a little challenging for our octogenarian members, but they slowly got about, and I think the exercise did them some good! There were a few minor challenges, and it felt a little 'tired' in parts: probably the end of a busy season and in need of a little TLC (eg, sinks slow to drain, dishwasher not working, games room downstairs looked great but had a broken cue and cloth on the pool table, etc), but overall very good, and Jane very helpful in answering questions during our stay. The electrician who wired the place originally needs a jolly stern talking to: batty switches (I think I counted 19 in the main lounge area alone, & of course the two light/fans have their own pull cords as well!)..... plus a classic in the basement bedroom - 2 of the 3 switches *inside* the room combine to operate the light outside it (both on, or both off!). Have to say we were a bit miffed to find we had to pay an extra €5 per day for internet, and €50 if you want aircon, after paying a fairly decent bill for the rental - neither are explained as an "extra cost" in the main advert, only when you receive the invoice - maybe that can be looked at, internet should be like water and electricity these days, please just include it, and a/c in Malta should also be an essential - even in October we found we could have done with it (as well as the duvets overnight!). We failed to actually get in the pool (just too busy!), but it looked clean and nice....& we failed to get down to see the shared indoor pool at all - too busy having a fine time around the Island! Greens supermarket is a short walk down the hill (& you can park in their basement if you have a car and do a big shop). In summary: good for large groups!

The Villa was spotless. Couldn't fault it in any way. Ideally located up the road from Greens Supermarket which suited us as a group of 12. Bus stops were also ideally located. Trips into St. Julian's were about 10mins. David and Jane were great. Would definitely recommend and would definitely go back. We went for a wedding party for 7 days and it was the best holiday we've ever been on!

We were surprise ! Grand villa with full facilities ! The location is good,and you getting rest so quietly , not so far from any shops or night activities even by foot! If you need something or any informations, the host is available at any time. Nothing else to say, we'll recommend it to our friends!

Despite some surprises at our arrival (empty gas tank for the BBQ and no sponge in the kitchen, solved the next day by the manager), we spent a good time in the villa ! Nice pool, spacious living room and game floor.

We stayed here with 19 girls in the summer. The villa was very clean and all there was plenty of space for us. Only the outside pool terrace was a little small. David and Jane where very nice and sent us a handyman right a way when one of the lights did not work. I would recommend the villa for family's with children because of the big playground downstairs. 10 of us stayed in this lovely villa in Feb 2016. It house was clean and tidy. Communication has always been great with David and we had a fantastic time in Malta and were very lucky with the weather too. The location is a bit out of the way but taxi's were 2Euros into Paceville which wasn't too bad. Overall, a lovely place and I would definitely stay again.

The place was exactly as described in the advert. All the facilities listed were functional and we encountered no issues with the villa itself during our stay. Put bluntly, the environment was extremely tidy and plainly spotless. The renter gave solid co-operation and in essence, gave a service which made it quite easy to settle that renting the place was very commendable. The entire neighbourhood bordering the villa is simply stunning, and this all helped make our vacation even more enjoyable. I strongly recommend staying at Villa Sunnyside, It was a very positive experience for us and I am sure that you will have the same experience.

It exceeded our expectations by alot. We were a group of poker players that felt very comfortable in the house and would recommend and rebook it again.

Our expectations were high based on pictures and previous reviews . We were somewhat disappointed. First the pictures are probably of a time when the villa was brand new. Today all the furniture is worn out and in urgent need of replacement as can be seen in attached pictures . Second, the villa is distributed on 5 levels , 3 above ground and two below ground : bedrooms are on level -1, 1, 2 and 3 . Lots of stairs …. There is not a single blade of grass on the property as the plot is very small and completely occupied by the small swimming pool. Thus there is very little space outside to enjoy . Specifically for a party of 14 (3 families) as we were, there was no outside space big enough to allow us the eat together . There is a nook squeezed between the swimming pool and the side door which house a table and 6 chairs , same on the patio with the barbecue . Only by moving all outside tables inside and pushing the furniture were we able to eat together inside which was a pity given the beautiful October weather . There is a big terrace on the third floor but it is not furnished . There is no view at all from anywhere in the villa. One disturbing thing is that the house is full of warning signs about the noise and the use of water and aircon , we counted no less than 30 such signs in the villa . This gives the impression of being a bunch of hooligans in need of disciplinary measures , not a feeling that is welcomed at any time but especially not on vacation, the overall impression being that guests are not welcomed. The quality of sheets and towels is very low , grayish, threadbare . The price of additional cleaning (bedrooms and bathrooms only ) is steep . There is no welcome pack and no leftovers from previous occupants (salt, oil ….) . We had to ask for additional glasses, washing machine repair, tablecloths to cover the stained tables . All our demands were met promptly but at the end we tired of asking for this or that as we felt that all this stuff should have been in place to start with. Although, nature in Malta is beautiful, urbanization is not and this property is located in a neighborhood along the main road from la Valette to Gozo . Thus it is not possible to walk or run in the area as nothing is geared towards pedestrians. If we were to return to Malta , we would rent a property in Gozo where urbanization has not spoiled the island.

We stayed for a week in March this year and it was disappointing.The photos do look amazing but we had a number of issues and the owners were not receptive to our problems. Firstly the whole villa was cold and smelt of damp. I do not think it had been aired and they had simply opened it up for us. Our bathroom was the ensuite on the second floor and had horrible damp and a lot of the walls had mold on them. Secondly the towels and bedding were damp and unpleasant and didn't dry at all, the whole week, and we had to have the heating on a lot. In the height of summer it might be fine as there is a washing line on the roof, but a shame. The main issue was the basement rooms - both floors. We have a one year old daughter and thought the play area would be great however it was very damp, the ceiling was dripping with water and the smell was horrible. I would not want to spend anytime there, let alone allow my daughter to breathe in the wet air. Furthermore there is no natural light or windows. We did complain and the owner, David, but he did not seem bothered. He simply said the weather was not his fault (as it had rained the previous week) repeatedly and merely shrugged. We requested 3 dehumidifiers, received one, and then we had to argue to not have to pay for the electricity for having it on round the clock. We suggested the swimming pool might have been leaking, which he denied until the last day, when he accepted it could be, but he was more concerned about sorting it for his guests the next week! Part of the issue was his attitude, When confronted with the problems and we suggested he should have e mailed us to say that the basement rooms were unusable and that the towels and bedding were damp and that there was no bedding for the cot, he walked out. The general response was 'why didn't you tell me sooner', despite us informing them on numerous occasions and he would not compensate us. It simply is not up to scratch - it is not the level of luxury that it is advertised as and the pictures are misleading. We did have lovely weather so were out and about everyday, which made the holiday enjoyable, however we left with a general feeling disappointment and annoyance that the owners would not accept responsibility for the problems with the villa. We had a really good time. The house is very confortable and very well suitable for 10-12 people. It is located in a nice and quiet area where it is very easy to park the cars (we had 3). Jane and David, the owners, were very attentive by our well being. We really appreciated it. Enjoy :-)
