The house,garden overall aesthetics of the place were beautifully preserved. The owner was lovely, very helpful and knowledgeable of the local area. Beautiful house, lovely stay.

Too many signs in bathrooms. This should be in the information booklet.

Nice breakfast but had to pre order night before

Had to be spot on 8 o’clock as food came out at that time even if you are not there, owner had to knock on one guest door to say breakfast is on the table

The sleeping area of the four poster room was lovely

The en-suite facilities were almost laughably small - I am of average build as is my wife - approx 75kg & anyone heavier would really struggle to use the bathroom; to use the washbasin after using the toilet it was necessary to shuffle feet to turn no room to turn naturally. Smaller than the facilities in our medium sized Camper van.

it’s got real character I found the building very interesting. hallways corridors and little alcoves everywhere. I didn’t have the cooked breakfast due to a very early start for work, but the proprietor showed me where all the food was stored to make my own buffet breakfast. This was after he guided me into the car park and allocated me a area so I could get away easily the next day. The room was warm spacious and the bed was so comfortable it was a task to get out of it in the morning, if it wasn’t for work I could of stayed in there for several hours more. very friendly host. who genuinely cared for his guests. in all a very good night away from home.

I’m assuming because the building has history and charm there wasn’t an en suite, but i did get a private bathroom across the hallway. to some this may be a negative, and though I have written this in things I didn’t. like I was happy with it.

It was lovely and had character. Breakfast was on time and continental well stocked. they gave you a little welcome treat.

It was cold and although extra blankets are provided there was no heating/heaters/instructions for the heater. My shower specifically had a sign to say if it overflows to just shut it off. which I did. Due to time restraints I ended up using the communal shower which is something I am very much not comfortable with.
