Down the road from stores but yet hidden amongst the trees. Check in easy. Communication with owner easy. The place itself was nice and comfy and had most of what we needed. A few issues I had were ants and dog fur. I left a plate on stove only to find it covered with ants. Ants would pop up if any little crumb was left in counters. Dog fur was found flying around the furniture in bedrooms and living area. But, most bedding and towels seems pretty clean. Another problem was not knowing that the other condos (belonging to another business) were all rented out to a Mens Retreat organization. So there were approximately 50+men at pool and communal area while me and my family tried to enjoy the area. They also had their own band which could be heard from inside. Because of this parking was crowded as well. Then there was the pool. Somewhat understanding, the middle of wooded area but it was full of beetles, moths, bees and other insects. The pump was not working quite right so not all was being filtered and cleaned. Could of been a better stay, minus the mens retreat. Idk. All in all from my visit, I’d say it was ok.

We really enjoyed our stay! We mentioned were staying for our baby moon and they left us a very sweet and thoughtful gift basket of relaxing items, candies and a onesie. The condo was so cute and had all of the items we needed to cook. The wifi worked great, the AC worked wonderfully and the beds were really comfortable. The pool was really nice and enjoyable! Our only thought is that it could use more lounge chairs, it had probably around four lounge chairs and then regular chairs. The pool was very busy with families during our stay. If you’ve never been to Frio, here are some tips; bring your own groceries or stop at the closest largest town before you arrive they don’t have large grocery stores, a lot of the restaurants shut down early in the evening we drove into Uvalde for dinner twice, if you plan to go to Garner State Park purchase your pass in advance.

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was nicely arranged with comfortable furniture. There are several convenient grills available for use on the property. Our kids loved the playground and pool available as well.

The condo is lovely and overlooks the swimming pool which has a waterfall. From the photos of the Frio River, I expected the condo to be walking distance to the river but it isn't. To access the river requires driving, and probably paying for parking. Since I stayed in the off-season, none of the parking areas were even open; they were gated and locked. I went to Garner State Park less than 10 miles away and got my "Frio River fix." The condo furniture is very comfortable, the kitchen is well-supplied with cookware, the beds and pillows were comfy, ac was quiet, and the tv offered free Netflix. Wifi worked fine as well. I'd stay there again, except I want to be ON the river during my next visit.

Unfortunately the slide in the pool is out of order….which was disappointing but we still had a blast in the pool and exploring the many parks and trails around the area. This condo is wonderfully located with easy access to Garner State Park, Frio river and Lost Maple. Likely many more, we just didn’t have time to explore everything.

Our kids loved the pool and park at the resort they also loved the complimentary snacks the owner provided. They were perfect for movie nights. There is also a hiking trail at the resort my husband enjoyed. It was only a short drive to Gardner State Park from the condo, about a 5-7 mile drive. It’s absolutely beautiful out there. The stores around the area are quite expensive so come prepared with food and supplies to avoid extra expenses. However, the owners provide a good amount of supplies for your stay which were all very useful. Also, Leakey is only about 10-15 miles from the condo and has more store options available. The owners were so nice and easy to communicate with during our stay and respond fast. Overall, it was clean, spacious enough for our family of 7, and felt like home away from home. We all had a great time and our kids are already asking when we get to go back. A huge thank you to the owners for everything!

This condo is so cute, the decor is nice and comfortable, the location is great and the hosts are so thoughtful. We were in town for a golf tournament and when we arrived they had cupcakes and a card telling us good luck. That was above and beyond what was expected. It was very clean and they had everything we needed. Overall a great place to stay!
