The house was amazing, clean, well kept and in a peaceful neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay, the property was amazing and had everyrhing to suit our needs. Communication with Jeremy was suberb. Would definately visit again!

This was a very nice propery. It had everything we needed. However, the property listing stated it had direct trail access to Dolly Sods. The gated community had access to Dolly Sods, but not the property itself. Access to Dolly Sods was about a 10 minute drive from the house. Had I known the property did not have direct trail access to Dolly Sods access, I am not sure I would have booked the the property as we are a hiking goup in the area to hike Dolly Sods.

We loved our stay at Pinebrook Retreat! The house is gorgeous, well planned/stocked, and had so many extra touches that amazed us. There was plenty of room to accommodate our 4 households. Jeremy is very easy to communicate with and went above and beyond to help us locate a few forgotten items, which we were very thankful for.

Home is very well equipped. The owners have thought of everything, including multiple games for the kids and lots of family friendly movies. The home is very clean and has everything you need.

This house is beautiful and it's extremely well equipped and comfortable and served us well. We are a group of adult cousins just looking for a place to hang out and visit and this house was perfect for us. Jeremy is very responsive and accommodating. We would absolutely stay here again.

7 women celebrating over 50 yrs of friendship reconnecting for a weekend. A yearly trip for us, this was one of our favorite places. Lovely home, so many thoughtful amenities never found in other rentals. The mountaintop setting was beautiful, especially if you want to watch deer. Owner was friendly and responsive to questions. Highly recommend, but be prepared for climbing gravel roads as a little tricky to get traction in two spots at bend in the road.

The homeowners thought of EVERYTHING and than some, been traveling a lot and this by far was the BEST we have stayed at and soo beautiful inside and out!

House was very clean and very well stocked!! Every age group has been taken into consideration in this property!! We are already looking to see when we can get together to book again!!

Every year we do an annual stay to ski at Timberline, we’ve stayed at several properties around the resort but this was one of the best! This by far was the most well equipped house we have ever stayed in. So many complimentary amenities, and all the kitchen appliances you could ever need- they’ve really thought of everything! Huge house with plenty of room for kids and adults, lots of entertainment with movies & games, even an outside shelter that we are pretty sure is Bigfoot’s house ;) Close to the resort and we had lots of fresh snow for added fun! One thing- if you’re going in winter you definitely need 4WD or AWD for that driveway because it’s a doozy! All in all we had a wonderful time and would love to come back next year!

One word - PERFECT. From the owner's communication, the home & it's many thought out amenities, and location - this was the perfect place for our weekend ski getaway with friends and family. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to visit the area.

We stay in a different house every time we visit Canaan but this is a beautiful home we would rent a second time. We were able to see a lot of deer and even a beaver at the state park. Kitchen is very well stocked and home had plenty of towels for our group. The kids really enjoyed having the entire downstairs to themselves. The views were amazing from the bedrooms and the TV had plenty of options for our first night indoors with the rain. game cabinet was stocked well and we enjoyed putting the puzzle together that was a picture of the house. Check in was easy and communication with the host was great. Definitely recommend this property!

The house was everything it promised and more. Fully stocked with anything you could need during your stay. The interior and grounds are beautiful. Absolutely incredible views from balconies. Highly recommended.

We stayed for a week with 4 adults, 2 teens, and 3 kids and had a wonderful time. The owners really went the extra mile - phone chargers in every room, extra towels and blankets in every bedroom and bath, a full spice drawer and other kitchen staples, knives that were actually sharp (!!), decent cookware and more than enough dishes and drink ware, a full puzzle and game closet, fast and reliable wifi - I could go on! We stay at a few similar houses every year and this is in our top 5 for attention to detail, cleanliness, and amenities. The location is also lovely - our kids spent hours exploring the property and playing in the woods, and it’s a very short drive down to the lake to fish or hike, and close enough to downtown Davis and Thomas to make a few trips for shopping or dinner (or a concert at the Purple Fiddle), and numerous hiking trails, horseback riding, kayaking, etc. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

We've been coming to the Canaan Valley area for decades, starting with sleeping the bushes at Seneca Rocks, through camping in Dolly Sods, cabins in Blackwater Falls, and various houses, and I think we've finally experienced the peak lodging experience! Large, clean, well and thoughtfully appointed house. There were six of us and we had more than enough space, the view and property are lovely and Jeremy and Amber couldn't be friendlier and more helpful. Thanks for an awesome stay!

The house is beautiful and very well appointed. Everything we needed was included. The location is spectacular with easy access to the Dolly Sods and Blackwater State Park. If you like hiking this is the place.

The cabin was as advertised and more. The location was great for a relaxing stay. Cabin was stocked with everything possibly needed. Would highly recommend.

A group of young adults stayed here for a retreat and we had an amazing stay! The view, the house, and communication with Jeremy were all so great!!

We stayed with 4 of our sons and their families. The house had everything needed plus. There were extra linens, a fully stocked kitchen, lots of entertainment and a beautiful location. It was very clean, & had plenty of cleaning supplies to use if needed. The weather was cold, windy and rainy so we didnt get to enjoy the outdoors but that didn't ruin our stay.....our grandsons are already asking to go back!! The home is one of the nicer homes we have stayed in. One of my boys was getting married in the area. The owner was very helpful in suggesting areas for the ceremony. He was very prompt answering any questions that I had.

Had a great time. There were a lot of things to do. Very nice house with nice kitchen, bed rooms, bath rooms, and a tv in every room.

Everything was outstanding with the house - the house was beautiful and well appointed. One of the nicest rental houses we've stayed out. It had everything we needed. The only issue the entire stay was our fault -- we missed the "4x4 car required in winter" and that caused us to not be able to make it up to the house on our arrival day. We hiked up. We made it up day 2 and had a nice stay.

Everything about this house was great and exceeded all of our expectations. Kids had lots of fun and was sad to leave. The description is on point. We enjoyed watching the sunrise in the mornings. Great view from the house.

This house is amazing! Nestled on the top of a hill in a gorgeous community just minutes away from Timberline ski resort. The house is big and roomy, with a great kitchen and the perfect dining room table for a large group. The view and fireplaces could not be better. The owner was so responsive as we arrived in a snowstorm. Double check you have four wheel drive though! You may need it since the house is up a steep driveway. But it was shoveled as soon as the snow ended by the most impressive snow plow driver I have witnessed
