We had a wonderful family vacation at the Jetty. My daughters both run their own Air B&B’s so they can be very critical but other then a few small things this place is amazing! Things that we LOVED about the house: Mattresses were super comfortable Couches were great Loved the pool table and the extra fridge The outdoor area around the pool was freaking amazing. Cornhole was so much fun. The house is absolutely wonderful and has so many positives, that if they just tweaked things just a little, it would be beyond amazing.

We loved the location and the over all house. However there were some things that could be changed to make the stay better as much as it costs. Tv in the living room glitched the whole time. Kitchen table leg was about to fall off. So you have to be careful not to move the table. When it rains there is no where to sit outside without getting wet. No gutters to prevent you from getting drenched trying to get in the home. Pool table area is way to small. No way to play without hitting the wall. Which sucked. Couldn’t enjoy the pool because it was ice cold after the pool guy came and added water. So couldn’t get in it. Such nice warm weather but couldn’t get in the pool. Thy also made me a little upset. Bother than those few things. House was great.

Well stocked kitchen, plenty of comfortable seating in pool area as I hate renting a home with poor plastic chairs, clear pool, They have beach gear and looked Like a fishing pole. Great location for walking or driving. Quiet neighborhood. Although we had wonderful weather the house would have kept us busy if we had to stay indoors as the pool table and some games kids could play. Plenty of space to spread out if traveling with different families. We did have trouble with some pool heat we requested but was able to get a refund when they found out it wasn’t working properly as we were the first ones to request heat in a while. We went into the Vacasa building near by and the lady we spoke with was kind and understanding of our issue. Would book again.

We loved the pool and quiet neighborhood. We LOVED the Diamond Shoals restaurant that is within walking distance. We played put put golf at Uncle Eddies and had frozen custard afterwards. There were presence of animal hair around the home, and that was a bit frustrating, but it did not ruin our stay. We enjoyed the pool table and there was plenty of space to have dinner as a family and then have our own space for down time. Would definitely stay again!

Everyone loved the space, the decks, the beds were comfortable, pool and hot tub were a big hit.

The house is beautiful. Spacious, peaceful, everything was spotless and well equipped like a resort. Unfortunately, the location was not the OBX. There are few restaurants, no shopping, very little to do for teens. The houses around the cottage are not appealing to look at. If you stay at the house and go to beach it’s great, but you need to cook a lot. If you want to visit OBX go to Duck, Corolla, or surrounding towns. The jetty cottage is a great house in the wrong part of OBX.

The house was pretty nice, and in a wonderful location. There are plenty of accommodations to meet most any need, and lots of board/card games. Aside from bad weather and what I'm about to mention, we had a pretty good time. We got on the island on a Sunday around 2pm to beat a storm and avoid overwashed roads. I tried but couldn't get in contact with anyone by phone or email to see if I could check-in early, and never did get an email response. Thankfully I tried the door code around 3pm and could get in and out of the weather. I think there is some kind of linen package left outside the entry when you arrive, but I didn't see it until the day we checked out because it was in a corner with the labels facing the house. I never read anything about a linen package when I booked the trip, and the only reason I saw ours when we left is because there were 2 more plastic totes in plain view that were pre-delivered for the next guests. There were already sheets/blankets/towels in most of the house though, so I'm still confused. The 2nd floor bed wasn't made. It had sheets on it but no blanket or pillowcases. It was however the only one with a foam mattress pad so it was the comfiest. The rest of the beds range from cinderblock to fairly comfy. The kitchen has plenty of cookware and utensils, but out of probably a dozen knives there isn't one of them sharp enough to slice a tomato. I also couldn't find any trashbags to fit the can so I had to go purchase some. The living room tv had a Roku streaming device and a nice soundbar, but it only works through the blu-ray player. As for cleanliness, its a big house and I understand stuff might get missed. The 2nd floor hall bathroom didn't have the cleaning seal on the toilet, and there was no soap, toilet paper or handtowel in there. We found a sippy cup under the living room table that had what I assume was milk several months ago. There was a small cockroach on the first floor, which could have come in when we did so no big deal. There was a massive cockroach that showed up in the 3rd floor bathroom that kind of bothered me. Out of boredom and curiosity I checked both air filters and they're both dated 12-28-2021. The check-out procedure is printed out and displayed in every bedroom, and twice in the kitchen. The two in the kitchen contradict each other, and both of those versions vary slightly from the email so I went with what it said. Check-out is a little early at 10am, especially with it being a large house, trying to understand their procedure and trying not to forget something, but I can deal with that. The end-of-trip email offering a 2pm late checkout for another $122 pissed me off a little bit though, especially after the pet fee, optional $85 a day to heat the pool (even though the hottub cover is in poor shape and likely letting heat out), and all the other little issues. While none of this ruined the trip, because I'm honestly not hard to get along with and I don't expect perfection, considering the high price I paid to honeymoon here I did expect a little better.

Love the area. Super quiet. Home had everything we needed and facilitated our large party.

The house was decorated nicely and felt like a cozy beach home. There was plenty of room for our four families. The pool and hot tub were amazing. We enjoyed cornhole and even shot some hoops. Walk to beach not too far. We made some great memories. Fishing was the best we had in years.

Location could not be beat with the Beach within walking distance, Connor's Market quick drive away, and perfect for traveling with adult children as everyone had their own space. Excellent ac, pool and quiet neighborhood.

The Jetty Cottage was the perfect home for our vacation. The pool is amazing and we had plenty of room for our entire family to enjoy the home and relax. This is a 5 Star home and we will definitely be coming back!

We had a great stay at the Jetty cottage. The short walk to the beach is convenient. Everyone loved the hot tub and pool and the house over all was fantastic. The check in and check out process is also seamless.

Location - literally in Buxton businesses were closed. The Cape Hatteras lighthouse was under repair so we could not climb it, mini putt places were closed, one restaurant/bar had over priced food and drinks. We had to drive an hour plus to do activities. House was great, but next time we will stay higher up.

This is the perfect home for families to slow down and reconnect. The home was clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and up to date. The bedrooms and beds were very comfortable. And the backyard was fantastic. We enjoyed a great vacation at the Jetty Cottage. Thank you!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Jetty Cottage. The house has everything you could need for an extended stay. The kitchen is fully equipped, rooms cozy and the pool area is spectacular. Our only issues came with check in and check out, due to conflicting information provided, but our questions were promptly answered. I would highly recommend staying at Jetty Cottage!!

House was nice with more amenities than many, including a brand new Weber gas grill. The pool and pool area was awesome! Hot tub was no extra charge and nice. The owners are very nice as well as caring.

The property was immaculate upon entering the home. The layout was perfect with different age groups involved. Our 11 month old granddaughter went down for naps without being disrupted by the rest of the family. More than enough living space for our family without being on top of one another. The high ceilings made the feel of the home more spacious. The pool was a welcoming surprise for everyone. Our 8 year old granddaughter alsolutely loved the pool. Two days were total pool days and being from New Jersey that says a lot because we are "ocean people." Everything you needed was provided by this owner, everything. A well stocked kitchen with any device you could think of. Extra blankets, top of the line washer and dryer that most households don't even have at home. The walk to the beach is a breeze with a wagon to help with the load. If we return to the Outer Banks, we will definitely stay here again.

Started off a little bumpy when we arrived plenty after the 4pm check in and the house was not cleaned. In fact the cleaning crew had only started and was not finished with the lower level. We left to get groceries and according to the men we left there they finished about 5:30. The house had not been cleaned as well as I would have liked. You could tell they were in a hurry. They did refund our cleaning fee. I also think that the description of "ocean views" is a little bit of a stretch. The house was well-stocked. The area was less commercialized than the north end of the island BUT the one reason I might hesitate staying on the south end of the island again is there is no medical care there. My granddaughter fell and needed stitches and we had to drive 50 miles to Nags Head to go to the ER. I was shocked that the only ER or Urgent Care was that far away. I will make sure to check that out when I go on vacation again. It is a beautiful house and very nice pool.

The 5 master bedrooms were absolutely amazing - everyone had their own space with bathrooms etc (even though I'm pretty sure we all used the outdoor shower more times than not! The pool and hot tub were key especially on the cloudy / rainy days when we didn't want to drive out onto the beach. Ramps 43 and 44 are super close by. The pool table kept the kids entertained. The kitchen - good lord the kitchen! You literally need to pack NOTHING! It is fully stocked with any and all gadgets and gizmos you could imagine! Super short walk to beach access if you are not getting an ORV permit. The stocked pond is right around the corner for some fresh water fishing. All in all the house was clean, welcoming and AMAZING.

The house was perfect for our friends and family beach getaway. Most days we went to the beach and hung out by the pool. Originally when I booked last summer there was a room in the upper master bedroom with a crib and I was disappointed to find out the door was locked. Luckily I contacted the realty company and they brought a pack a play to the house although this would have been nice if it were communicated. Also the owners changed from the time I had reserved to the time of our stay, which I felt would have been nice if it were communicated. Overall the house was perfect and all of our guests had a fantastic time!

We booked the beach house back in 2019 for the Memorial Day 2020 then Covid-19 closed the island to tourists which meant we couldn’t stay. We didn’t purchase the travel insurance so we asked what our options were, we were told that we could move the booking dates to 2021 and everything turned out great! We had an awesome time.

The jetty cottage is an amazing home. It is very clean, very spacious, and great for family gatherings. The heated pool was amazing and so was our stay. Brock and April I wanna thank you guys for sharing your beautiful home with us. We had a great time And thank you for being so responsive when anything was needed. Great place to stay, beautiful area and very relaxing.

We will definitely be staying here again. Brock and April were so quick to reply and very accommodating. Our family made so many memories in this home. It was prime location. The home had everything you needed to be very comfortable. I would give the rating more stars if I could. I would highly recommend staying in this home.

The house was in a great location with a view of the ocean and the Cape Hatteras lighthouse. The beach is only a short walk. Each bedroom has a bathroom, so that is also a plus. The pool area is nice with a lot of seating. Several restaurants are just a short drive. It is a great vacation house.

We had a nice stay at Brock and April’s place. We were two families and there was more than enough room for everyone. The kids had an amazing time in the pool - even on the 45 degree days! The heated pool is well worth it! Note that the check out process is pretty involved and you have be out by 9am on the dot.
