The house itself is nice. The property owner listed "spa and heated pool" as amenities included with the property. The night before we checked in, they told us that we would have to pay $300 if we wished for the pool to be heated. I understand charging for pool heat, however it should be disclosed in advance. I checked the listing details (and took screen shots) - "heated pool" was listed as an amenity and NOWHERE in the listing was anything about an additional $300 fee. Additionally, both nights the hot tub broke and was not usable. They did send a tech out who got it working the first night but it broke again within minutes and they did not send anyone out again. It was a cold night, but I have been in hot tubs when it is -30 degrees that have worked just fine. The heated pool / hot tub were the entire reason we selected this property and it was very frustrating that we could not use them either night we were there. Lastly, on our only full day at the property, the water stopped working. We had no drinking water, no toilet, no shower for hours. Again the owner did not send anyone to look at it. We ended up going out. After much going back and forth with the owner, they entirely refused ANY concession on the rental fee, despite all of our problems. They wanted only to refund half of the heating fee (again, note that this fee was not even disclosed in the listing, and that the hot tub was not functional either night). Our time away was basically ruined. We were looking forward to this getaway for a long time and only had this one window where we could do so. I truly wish I had selected any other property. I would not recommend booking here until they solve their mechanical and customer service problems.
