We have stayed many times in the Duck House. The owner always responds quickly. Our favorite place to stay when riding the Creeper Trail.

The house was perfect for our stay. We were in town to ride the Creeper Trail and do some hiking. The house was clean, well appointed and perfectly located to walk to everything in Damascus. We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return.

The Duck House was perfect for our visit to bike the Creeper Trail and hike at Grayson Highlands. We really enjoyed the atmosphere of the little town of Damascus. If we had one disappointment it would be that many of the shops were closed on Monday and Tuesday.

Perfect location in Damascus. Plenty of room for a larger group. Great stay and we hope to return soon.

This property was in one of the best locations in Downtown Damascus! Our family has been to Damascus every memorial day weekend to ride the Creeper Trail and it never disappoints. Clean property and has a newly renovated master bathroom!

Had a great stay! Everything we needed was provided and the best location in town. Walking distance to eating and shopping, Creeper Trail & the Farmer’s Market! Very accommodating host! Look forward to our next trip!

Stayed in the Duck House to meet up with my daughter and her new trail friends who are thru hiking the AT. House is in a great location to walk the Main Street of town to shop and eat. Had amazing weather while in Damascus and were able to use the outdoor table and chairs to feed some Hungry AT Thru Hikers. Loved sitting on the front porch!! We also biked the Creeper Trail on their zero day. Rented Bikes through Blue Blaze - which is right across the street. New Hotel right across the street, also where more family stayed and walked over to eat with us. Very convenient! Only thing lacking in this house is a washer and dryer (we knew that upon renting), but the hikers were able to get their clothes washed at the Hostel right down the road! House had everything we needed and more! Had a great time! Would definitely stay here again!! Thanks David!

The Duck House was perfect! Very cute, comfortable, and exceptionally clean! The Duck House was the perfect place to enjoy happy hour on the front porch and early morning coffee and a walk with the ducks and geese at the park across the street. This was our first trip to Damascus and we can’t wait to come back, and will definitely stay at the Duck House again. Thank you, David, for providing such lovely accommodations!

Beautiful property and spacious rooms. We had everything we needed and the location is so convenient. Our elders really enjoyed the front porch. Thankful that we found this gem!

This house was perfect and as advertised. The beds were comfortable which is a big plus for us. The bathrooms were outstanding (2+1/2). The kitchen was spacious and there was fresh ground coffee in the frig, which got us by until we could go to the store. We never did find the washer and dryer, but maybe it was not supposed to have that. I can't recall, but we did not need them anyway. Dave stopped by to see us once during our week long stay and then again the morning we left. He lives two blocks away and was very willing to help with anything. The house is walking distance to the one restaurant in town and the food is good. There are multiple bike rental companies in town and we really liked the one called the Damascus Bike Rental that was in a little strip mall on the north end of town and right on the trail. The shuttle to the top of White Top was just as expected and downhill all the way back to Damascus. Be sure to also rent an e-bike and do the part of the trail from Damascus to Abingdon too. It is glorious scenery but a fair amount of uphill.

House was beautifully redone with plenty of room, well stocked, and perfect location. We could not have picked a better place to stay. Will recommend to anyone wanting to travel to Damascus.

The house is very nice, well equipped for enjoying a nice weekend. The owners have spent time decorating and it's very nice inside. Very comfortable for our family with the 3 bedrooms and a nice sized kitchen and living room.

David is a great host. The property is very close to the Virginia Creeper Trail and we love Damascus. The house is very comfortable with a super updated master bath and kitchen

This property exceeded our expectations! The weather was perfect so we could enjoy hanging out on the porch after a long day on the trails. Walking or biking distance to everything in town. A real gem and will plan to be back soon!

Once again, we loved our time at the Duck House! It was perfect for us to enjoy Damascus, walk around, and the river close by is lovely to listen to while drinking my morning coffee.

Our family of 6 stayed at the Duck House for two nights while we were in the area to do the Creeper Trail. There was plenty of room for our adult and teenage kids- a roll away bed meant everyone didn’t have to share beds. The house is so cute, and we could walk everywhere in town. We would definitely come back and recommend it to our friends.

The location is amazing…right across from the creek (and Saturday morning Farmers Market), walking distance to the distillery and convenient store. We rode the.
