The place gave us just what we needed in room for our family to join us and plenty of space to spread out for conversations. It is within walking distance to a beautiful pond. The hostess was very accommodating, and her communication was great. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay.

Our hostess Cat answered all of our questions quickly and cheerfully. Most notably she answered us at 6:30 on a Sunday morning when we ran into an issue. The cabin fit our group of eight very well. We walked to the pond at the end of the lane and enjoyed a peaceful hour of reading The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed for our stay.

We had an excellent Christmas here- for the second year in a row! Cat is always very responsive and helpful. The house is very spacious, clean and perfect for our family of five. The wood stove makes it extra cozy. The kids enjoyed sledding and making snowmen this year :). I would recommend the house to anyone and hope that we can stay again in the future!

This was a great place to stay for the weekend! My friends and I stayed here to go to the Big E, and it was perfect! Plenty of space to fit all 10 of us comfortably! The area was beautiful in fall.

Our women’s group was looking for rest and relaxation and found it here. The property was clean, the kitchen was well stocked with everything for cooking and even available pantry items. Plenty of room to spread out and we had our meals in the screeded in porch. The perfect getaway setting in the woods.

We are familiar with the Wildwood area, and found this house to be just what we were looking for. Kitchen is well stocked, beds were comfy, and the whole process was hassle free. Thanks for a lovely vacation!

Our three generation family had an amazing time at this comfortable home in Wildwoods in Tolland. Not only did the house more than meet our needs, but the surroundings were beautiful! We were able to paddle, kayak, swim and hike all within minutes of our door. We had one small problem and the hostess was quickly and efficiently responsive. We would recommend this home to any, and may well be back ourselves.

The property is very comfortable and well-equipped. The nearby Otter Pond beach was a great place for our family to hang out when we weren’t at the house.

The property owner was very accessible and helpful, and the house had many amenities. One downside is the lack of a washing machine, but there is a clubhouse laundry. We had a very enjoyable stay overall.

Fit the description of the spot. Lovely, wood interior, ample, comfortable living spaces. Kitchen could be better organized; reasonably stocked with utensils, pots & pans. Overall, we enjoyed thoroughly and would return!

My family and I had a wonderful time at this property. There were all the amenities and even books and toys for the two children staying with us. Communication was excellent with owner. Wish we stayed longer!! Would definitely come back!!

Had an amazing stay for a local wedding. The house is located in the woods and a hidden gem in a private community. No central air conditioning but with windows open at night sleeping was not an issue. Host was quick to answer any questions.

I have to start by saying that I am a bit biased in this review. This property is located in the Wildwood community of Tolland, where my family has had a secondary “cottage” for the past twenty years. I’m familiar with the lakes, trails, and everything the Granville-Sandisfield-Tolland area have to offer. With this in mind, we knew about the area and about what to expect from homes in the Wildwood area. This property exceeded those expectations. The house is laid out in a very accommodating way, with a large space for dining (we had 7 staying in the house, plus 3 who were staying at our property down the road) and a 3-season porch. The living room was very homey, with enough pillows, blankets, and seats to accommodate the group. (I’m disappointed we didn’t bring change for the juke box. Maybe next time.) The kitchen had lots of space, plenty of extra utensils, pots, pans, and mixing bowls which made the meals a breeze. The rooms were excellent, with plenty of clean bedding and pillows. Despite having a 10 month old with me in my room, I had a great night sleep. The other kids appreciated the rollaway bed and kids books in the kids room. My parents loved the “master” bedroom upstairs. Because of the skylight, my mother mentioned seeing the stars when she woke up in the middle of the night. Communication with Cat was outstanding. Very responsive and helpful. We didn’t take advantage of everything we should have or could have, but we would wholeheartedly recommend the property and hope to return in the future!

We had an amazing stay at this 4 bedroom home in a private community surrounding a lake with two beaches. House and property were well maintained. Home was very well equipped. Had all the cooking and dining housewares one could ever need (tortilla press, brûlée torch…). Owner provides access to 2 kayaks and a canoe with life jackets. We lacked for nothing. Great host!

Bright, clean and comfortable. Plenty of room. Wonderful Master suite. I would highly recommend staying here if you have the chance.

We enjoyed our stay. The home is so quaint and location pretty tucked away in the trees. The snowstorm added to the beauty. Kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with necessities. Perfect size for the two families of 4 to rest and enjoy quality time after 2 days of skiing. Communication with host was quick and helpful.

My family (2 adults and 3 kids) stayed here for the week of Christmas - we could not have asked for a better place to stay! The house was fully decorated for Christmas - including a tree - which was such a nice surprise!! We utilized the wood burning stove to stay warm, and we were lucky enough to have snow to play in on Christmas morning. The rooms were perfect for the kids, and there was a great selection of books for them to read. Everything was very clean, the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and Catherine was very responsive when we reached out to her. We will definitely look into staying here again when we come to visit family next year!

We rented this property to be near my brother’s house who was hosting Thanksgiving this year. It was a great location and as it turned out we ended up having Thanksgiving dinner there. The house was perfect. Accommodated 7 adults easily. The house had everything we needed and then some. Loved taking walks in the woods and exploring the area. We even did our annual Thanksgiving Plunge in the lake! Cat is a wonderful host!

We had a great time! There are hiking trails right next to the yard or you can just walk along the roads and visit the beach or swings at the pond. There was everything we could need in the kitchen and a fire pit outside with chairs and firewood. Cat was great if we needed anything. This was a great place for teenagers. This would be a great place to stay any season.

My family of 9 stayed here comfortably. There were so many games for my kids to do. We even saw a family of deer outside the house. We also made s'mores. The house was packed with everything you could possibly need. We truly had an amazing time. My kids had so.much fun, they didn't want to leave.. The wifi was a little glitchy other than that we will most definitely be coming back again for vacation.
