The place was great, easy to get to and clean. The rooms and living area were a little bigger than they looked in the pictures which was nice. Check in and check out was very smooth. The hosts were easy to communicate with. It was a perfect stay!
The house was perfectly located at the end of a quiet street near everything! We went to many local attractions… the Wright memorial, Jockeys Ridge, Ocracoke, Elizabethan gardens, and lighthouses. There are many great food and drink options in the OBX.…. Kill Devil Distillery, Lost Colony Tavern, 1718 Brewing, and Kill Devil creamery (right near the house!).

The place was amazing, when you work on retail (grocery store) after the holidays the only thing you want to do is decompress and rest. And this places filled all our expectations and more. So cozy, plenty of space , super clean and our Host She is awesome.

We had a great time here. The house was wonderful! Comfy and clean, stocked with everything we needed. The area is great with lovely beaches and great food.
We will definitely be staying here again if we take another trip to the OBX.

This place was awesome. Clean. Perfect. Fenced back yard. Quiet neighborhood. Right off 158. Short drive to the beach. Would love to stay again.

Relax Shack is a great beach house with close access to the beach, great restaurants, movies, outdoor activities, and shopping. The house was well furnished for our stay, and we especially enjoyed the fenced-in backyard and the bikes provided with the home. A very nice place to “relax” at the OBX. We hope to visit this house again sometime soon!

Good location with fairly close access to beach and the bay. Nice to have beach chairs, beach towels, bikes available. Communication was good with owners overall

A great spot for a small (4-5 people) family. Our Labrador loved the deck and back yard so he got a vacation too! The house was very well stocked with all cooking and cleaning needs and if anything runs out you are very close to a store. Overall a great experience and we look forward to coming back!

It had absolutely everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. Our Labrador had full access to the yard 24/7. The hosts were extremely accommodating, responsive and nice.

We enjoyed relaxing outside and the convenience of the fence for our dogs. The grounds were well maintained and condo was clean.

Beautiful rental! Quiet, clean and well appointed. So many details thought of. Comfortable beds, great shower and gorgeous kitchen in a convenient location. Parking in driveway. Easy communication with owner.

Very nice property in a quiet walkable neighborhood, great backyard for some downtime and the deck off the kitchen is perfect for morning coffee and meals. Lots of nice touches and the kitchen has most of the things you’d need for any meal. Only extra that might be nice would be a grill. Thanks for a cozy home away from home!

Excellent Place for an OBX Getaway!
This is a great, tastefully decorated property and Amber and Brett have really thought everything out. It is about 25-30 minute walk to the beach so may not be for the really young ones but definitely close enough. It is quite literally in the middle of the OBX strip so equidistant from everywhere. The owners have made a lot amenities like bikes, beach chairs, boogie boards etc. available to the guests for no charge. And little things like an outdoor hose and fully functional shower are great additions.
Overall, when I go back to OBX, this is the place I would look at first!

The property was nice, clea. With bright beachy colors. This property is close proximity to the 2rd street public beach access. The property was as shown and described. The owners were great to work with. The property is close to restaurants shopping and the beach. The property is quiet and is a safe area to be in. I recommend this property.

Although beautiful the furniture was not comfortable to set on in the evening to watch a movie. Only complaint.

Beachy fun
This place was perfect for my family! We were close to everything and the space had everything we needed. Also, there’s a great bagel place (NY Bagels) in the strip mall a couple blocks away!

Just Okay
The place itself was clean, but it wasn’t really kept up well (overgrown grass and warped steps going up to the front door) and the immediate neighborhood/street was kind of trashy. Lots of cars collected in driveways and yards, overgrown grass, small outside hoards. The tenant living in the house is weird too, not really a private experience. We wouldn’t stay here again, for the price there are better options.
