The property was gorgeous and exceeded our expectation. Spacious enough for our family of 8. Pleasant visits by a couple of deer - very friendly. Very close to Water Safari and Calypso Park. We cooked delicious meals in the cabin to save on cost of eating out. Overall very pleased and would recommend to anyone. Thank you ♥️.

The house itself was very nice. Very disappointed we were right on a main road. The traffic was very loud all day and night. Plus construction was going on all week. We definitely did not have a quite and relaxing week. The beach we were told we could use was not accessible because we did not have a permit to enter. Would not recommend or stay there again.

House had the perfect layout for 2 grandparents and family of four. Loved the deck and grill as well as the fire pit & stocked dry wood. Really loved having the outdoor space! House is clean and well stocked. For our first trip to the Adirondacks, this was close to stores, food, trails etc! Overall, would highly recommend if you’re looking for a comfortable house close to Old Forge.

Great place close to town room to spead out

This home is absolutely beautiful. It was set up perfectly for our family (2 parents, 2 kids, 2 grandparents - we easily could’ve fit more). This was my first VRBO stay, and my advice to anyone new to VRBO is to get the app. If I was forced to find room for improvement it would be that GPS took us to the wrong house and I’m still confused on where to take the trash. I see these things are in the app but when I clicked nothing happened. I 100% recommend this house.

House was charming and just as you would picture it to be in the heart of old forge. Aside from the weather not for operating we were able to play games and enjoy yummy food in the house!

Directions were a little confusing coming into the road since there is a E and W and neither was listed. Ended up on a dead end and had to back out with a 30 ft trailer. Could use more daily essentials (paper towels, toilet paper, a few garbage bags) Overall it’s a great spot to hit trails fast. House was nice!

We’ve stayed there 3 out of the last 5 years we’ve been riding in the Old Forge Area. The proximity to the trail system makes the location desirable. Plenty of parking for both vehicles and sleds. More than adequate bedroom, bathroom and common space for our group of seven.. It’s our favorite place to stay. Just don’t plan on booking our traditional weekend stay😁

It was a fine property in most every way - however, the water coming from the pipes was brown. Worse from the kitchen pipes than from the bathrooms for some reason. It was good enough that we took showers, but not for cooking or making coffee. We reached out to the owner via text but had no response to the issue - we know she was getting the texts because she sent us a checkout list 2 days later.... So unless the water issue is resolved, I would hesitate to stay here again. If it is resolved, then I would say absolutely yes to another rental here.

Cabin was comfortable and beautiful and very well equipped. Appreciated the fireplace and games as we had a cool, rainy week and spent more time inside that we would normally plan. Kitchen was nicely supplied for meals in the house. Wish we had had arrangements to dispose of garbage as we were there a whole week.

A small group of family and friends recently traveled to the Old Forge area for a road race. The booking process was very easy and the reservation was confirmed asap. The cabin itself was spacious, well stocked with kitchens/cookware and cable/Wi-Fi. The property was close to town and there were a number of great local restaurants. The property manager, Vicki, was very helpful - responded quickly to questions and provided great local recommendations. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful for the 2nd year in a row:) Beautiful cabin-easy check-in/check-out. Noisy by the road for the fire, and difficult hill to walk down to get to fire for grandparents-something to be aware of when booking. Great hosts-no problems!

We had a great stay at Pawnee Pines. The house came equipped with more than I had expected. The kitchen has everything from a Keureg to an electric skillet. There was not a utensil we couldn't find. It was an addedd surprise to find a stocked smores station. Nice touch! I was nervous how taking a toddler (almost 2) would go, but I found a bed rail beneath one of the beds and a highchair, which prooved to be Godsends. Thank you! There are also games and a few legos for the kids. During our stay, Old Forge lost power for hours but the house had a generator that kicked on immediately. That was grately appreciated. The firepit was enjoyable. At times the noise from traffic did make having a conversation difficult. The location was perfect! It took minutes to get in town or to Bald Mountain. The private beach is a bit of a drive -not walking distance at all. The parking is ample - plenty of room for several cars or trailers. A few suggestions to make this an even better place - There are only enough large dinner plates for 6 people, so if you are having a group of 10 stay, some will need to use the small plates. There were also not as many butter knives for everyone, but we shared. When we got to the house, the bunk beds were not made up, but I found the sheets in the closet and made them myself. Not a big deal. Two of the twin beds were missing comforters and some of the pillows were missing pillow cases, but it was August when we stayed so the comforters weren't needed and I had brought a few pillows from home. Overall the house met our needs and the host quickly answered any questions I had and it would be a place I would consider having my family gether again.

The cabin was just as beautiful in person as it was in the pictures. Had plenty of room for our family. Was well stocked with basic necessities. Would definitely consider staying here again.

This is a great house that had everything we needed. Great location just outside of the "downtown" part of Old Forge, and secluded enough where you have some privacy. All the amenities were great and we look forward to staying in the house again next summer!

Pawnee Pines was in great proximity to Old Forge and many activities & trails in the surrounding areas. The space was great inside the cabin and there were plenty of sleeping options. The kitchen had all necessary appliances—toaster, micro, coffee maker, Keurig as well as basic cooking amenities (foil, spices, pans & utensils). Even though the listing said “toilet paper is provided”—renters should bring extra. There was only one roll per bathroom. Towels were provided, but no face cloths. We also needed extra garbage bags, as the “check out instructions” ask for you to bag linens. Be sure you have time to clean, dry & put away all dishes as well—that is also asked of renters at checkout. Fine; just took extra time.

Nice experience, the address in the app diez not macht with the one in waze OR Google mapa. So is kind of confusing. Tried desperetly to call the contact and without inmidiate response. All the rest was perfecto.

Everything you expect - it was super clean and cozy. It was a great weekend and the hosts were very responsive when we had some questions the first day.

We loved the cabin. Perfect for our adult family weekend. Quiet neighborhood and comfortable home with great layout.

Was told to text when we arrived at property. Rec'd no answer, no welcome info. Asked about air conditioning. Rec'd no answer. It was very hot especially upstairs. We used the fans that were there but it was still very uncomfortable. The kitchen setup was lacking. Not very many items and not well organized, some dishes were dirty. No dishwasher soap. No bathroom soap. Location was right on the road and we could hear vehicles on the road in all bedrooms. I have rented VRBO before and found the quality and service not comparable to our last stay (in Hawaii). Similar price though. This unit did not have the feel of someone actually managing the property in person. Would not rent again.

Proximity to town is great but the house backs up to the main road and takes away from the enjoyment of the camp fire. Overall, it’s a nice house with plenty of sleeping accommodations. The kids loved the bunk room.

The property was although, we were disappointed in the amount of noise of the highway that backs up to the property. We also thought there was lake access, there is not. We couldn't be outside very long even in the daytime because of all the mosquitoes.

The house was the perfect size and very clean. We had 8 people in our group and it was more than enough space. The place does not have AC so I would suggest bring a fan for each room if you are going in the summer. Other than that minor detail, we would definitely rent this house again.

Despite two days of rain, we had a great family vacation. The house was bright, cozy and comfortable. Kitchen was stocked with everything needed. Mattress cover would be nice rather than just a sheet. Would certainly come back to this house

2 hour delay checking in-cabin had not been cleaned. Had to make beds - bunks.Misc-only 3 wine glasses, no cutting board (didn’t want to damage counters).We had great company so our stay was good.
