We had a great week and enjoyed the house and the closeness to the beach. Great that there were beach toys there for our grandson. Well stocked kitchen and comfortable furniture.
We had an issue at the beginning, but the owner quickly answered and had someone there to fix the problem on Monday.

We enjoyed our rental ! It was very accommodating for us - had games and beach supplies that we didn’t expect for kids . Kitchen had everything you could possibly need - 2 grills outside . Wonderful location! The owners responded immediately to our questions that we had - we had a great time !!! Thank you

Well appointed cozy beach house. The Cape House, was a great location for college friends with young families to come together for a beach week in this new phase of life. The owners were very accommodating and forthcoming on the property size for our young family group. The house was very clean and well appointed with top performing appliances (ac, washer dryer, outdoor shower, kitchen appliances). The prep communications were clear and efficient. We were well prepared to have a great week. The location is perfect to get to and from the beach with all the little kid supplies. The pool was idyllic and pool cleaner service was exceptional. There were quite a few flies, but likely due to rains prior to our arrival. We brought fly traps and felt relief while enjoying the outdoor space. Perfect family oriented home and neighborhood for our group. Looking forward to continuing this tradition with our families for years to come. Thank you to our gracious and attentive hosts.

We enjoyed our stay here in Sandbridge. Quiet neighborhood and great for riding bikes. Great walking distance to the beach. Enjoyed the seeing Dolphins and crabs on the beach.

The house and pool were both great. We loved the location-the walk to the beach ( which is beautiful) is just as close as it says.

We are a family of 6 with 4 small children under 8. We loved the quiet location. The beach access was across 2 streets, which was easy to cross and get to the beach even with little ones. Our kids also appreciated the swing set when they were not swimming or enjoying the beach. We also brought our small dog along, which had a safe gated spot to run around in. The host was quick to respond to questions and accommodated us a little earlier to check in. Overall, we loved our time there and plan to return next year!

Loved the property and the hosting party was very responsive and kind to us. The only suggestion would be to put a runner or step covers on the staircases to prevent slips. Other than that it was a great experience!!!

We came for spring break (my husband, 10 year old and our dog) and the location made it worthwhile. Very close to the beach and enough space by the house to walk the dog. We only used the first floor and the washer/dryer on the same level was very convenient. We ate out the entire trip but the kitchen appeared stocked for everything. We brought our own bedding, pillows and towels as well as extra sheets to cover the furniture since we brought a dog and it worked out great. This isn’t a brand new home so yes things are expected to be used and it met my expectations and standards. The pool was not open yet during our stay. People are extremely friendly in the area and we’d love to come back.

Lovely property with easy check in in peaceful neighborhood so close to the beach you can hear the waves from the porch. The house needs some TLC. Its not dirty but it is worn. Living room furniture seemed brand new so in all this is a good spot! Plenty of sleeping accommodations. Even better spot when considering the location. Would come back.

We stayed over the Thanksgiving Holiday with our Golden Doodle. Loved that it was pet friendly and so close to the beach. Nice property, easy booking, property manager/owner great communication.

If you're looking to vacation at Sandbridge, the Cape House is a great place to stay. The location is perfect and is a very short walk to the beach. The fenced in yard was perfect for our family and the dogs enjoyed it very much. Our dogs gave the yard "four paws up"!
The owner is very responsive and provides great follow through and results.
We definitely plan to be back and recommend the Cape House as a wonderful place to stay and experience the Sandbridge Area.

The house is 3rd row. The walk to the beach, SUPER short. We couldn't get in when we arrived - tired and a 10-hour drive. The owner was extremely quick getting back to us and assisting. The area felt very safe. Women walked alone, children were out riding bikes. Folks were very friendly. We loved the pool, loved the gated front yard for our small doggy. My only complaint was the furniture, beds and particularly the living room couch. The couch cover was white so you could see It was stained. The beds were really uncomfortable. A beach house is an investment property but if you used 1/3 of one week's income toward improvements, it would be a house that people want to come back to year after year instead of that was nice, but let's see what else is out there.

Our family had an excellent stay. The house is in a very nice little neighborhood and we enjoyed riding our rented bikes and golf cart around numerous times a day. The kitchen was very well stocked. The beach is 100 yards to the beach access area. The pool was perfect but very shady most of the day, which we didn't mind. Communication with the owner was quick and they made everything very easy and accommodating.
The only negative to the trip was the flies. I'm sure this is not at the fault of the owners as we have flies where we live that are also relentless and have searched high and low for a solution with no avail. However, they were really bad at the time of our stay (late August) inside and outside, all times of day. We were curious if they were just as bad at the houses nearby. Possibly some landscaping upkeep may help some, as there was a lot of overgrown shrubbery and leafs from the trees in the yard.

The house was nice, there are 2 bedrooms on 1 st floor and 2 bedrooms on 2nd floor, bathrooms on each floor, nice in ground pool, but the landscaping on the property needs to be cleaned up it was horrible, dried up leaves and weeds everywhere, the flies and magnets were out of control around the garbage cans and around the pool area under house, my brother in law cleaned the garbage can area to help with the fly & bug problem because we were getting bug bites, if we had small children with us I would have been highly disappointed as no child could be near the pool or in the yard because of the weeds, there was no ladder to pool only steps to get in and out, also light in pool didn’t work so no night swimming. I understand that no property is perfect but this place needs a lot of help and clean up, and yes I did contact property manager on some issues, but I also feel that I shouldn’t be the 1 waiting for repair ppl to come fix things when I’m on vacation.

The house is just ok. The pictures are a little deceiving, mostly the pool area. The house desperately needs some landscaping help. The weeds around the pool fence are out of control. The leaves around the pool look like they haven’t been touched once this year - yes there are trees and leaves are to be expected but it should be cleaned and maintained regularly. The whole pool/ patio area needs some attention. The AC was frozen up when we arrived, the owners were very responsive and did fix it. Unfortunately it took 2 days and someone had to stay and wait for the repairman. Also the floors in the house were very dirty, the carpet in the upstairs bedrooms really needs to be replaced. We did have someone come back and clean, which helped. Overall the house is just ok.

My wife and I and our two teenage boys spent a week at the Cape House during the summer. The house was extremely comfortable and just perfect for a family of four. Everything was clean when we arrived and the check-in process was very simple. We had rented linens and beach supplies from third-party services, all of which were there when we arrived. The house is in a fantastic location, only a short walk to the beach, and very nicely situated to all the great restaurants on Sandbridge. There are bedrooms both upstairs and downstairs, which allowed my wife and I and the boys to have some privacy.
The pool is one of the best features of the house. It is beautiful and well-maintained, with really nice lighting in the evening. There are a few large trees around the house, which means you may be cleaning a few leaves out of the pool each morning, but more than worth it for the shade they provide.

The Cape House was a quaint clean house with great proximity to the beach! The weather was too cool to use the swimming pool but that would have been an additional great feature for this home. The neighborhood was on a No Outlet street so there was minimal traffic.

This is my 2nd time staying in the Cape House. This time with the new owners. It is a perfect location and so comfortable and clean. Easy walk to the beach and a beautiful pool! Communication could not have been better. Very comfortable place to vacation in. We will return.

We went to VA to visit our son who is in the Navy and loved the Sandbridge area it is beautiful. We were across the street from the beach that was awesome. It was March so it was chilly, we did have a few warm days so we enjoyed that. I am sure its even better in the summer months with a pool and the beach. We did enjoy the house and location, I think in the future I prefer a home with linens and sheets etc. especially when you are traveling from afar, but other than that it was a great trip.

It would be a decent place if there were some attempts made. It was not clean when we arrived. There are gas grills, but too filthy to attempt cleaning. There is also paint flaking on the inside of the grills. There were rodent traps on porches. Some boards on the outside stairs were loose. Solar lights on stairs were broken and exposed. There was a piece of trim, by the front door, with a nail sticking out that the 3-year-old found quickly. That could have been a disaster. The fridge was not entirely clean. We had to run out quickly for toilet paper. This was unexpected and embarrassing for a family member. The AC appears to be falling off the foundation so we felt nervous to use it. The whole house shakes when anyone moves. Overall, it was a disappointment due to what appeared to be a significant lack of effort for the money.
