Where do I start? I booked this property for a weekend getaway with my wife and friends. I read all the horrible reviews and should have listened to my initial feelings about the hesitation I had booking this property, but decided to give them a chance. Against my better judgement. I paid in full and received confirmation. I even received aditional confirmations as our trip got closer. The day we were suppose to leave, I still hadn't received arrival info regarding access to the property. I messaged the host as instructed by the email. This is where things went sideways. The host responded right away stating they only take reservations through Vacasa. After some more back amd forth, they gave me the access code to the peoprty. I confirmed they had my reservation, and they responded "no". We were not booked there. Immediately, I called the their number to try and sort this out, while in thinking Im not surprised as this has happened to someone else in the reviews. After getting sent straight to voicemaul, I called VRBO directly. I was on the phone with them for 1.5hrs trying to sort this out. They ended up contacting the host. Host said they didn't have an account with VRBO which is insane. They clearly do otherwise we wouldn't have been able to book with them. Then they went on to tell the VRBO rep that VRBO was advertising their listing against their will. I feel these hosts are frauds and just trying to steal people's money. Do not book. VRBO needs to ban these hosts.

This rental was what was claimed. Was clean and nice. A good value.

The stay was good. The property owner was responsive to my questions and once we figured out the fireplace and baseboard heaters, the house warmed up nicely and was a cozy spot for our visit! Looking forward to a future visit.

Joe was a great host. His property is just as described and reviewed by others.

This was the absolute worst experience we’ve ever had. Please read the reviews! I really wish we had. Everyone seems to have the same experience. The place is a terrible mess or “double booked” which means Joe hasn’t moved out before arrival and has left it a total mess. We have lots of photos of the fridge full of half eaten food, smoke alarm missing, roof leaks in master bedroom visible human hair on sheets and pillows, pee stains on toilets. Food chunks on the kitchen floor, bathroom towels rumpled up, etc… Joe, the owner, hung up on us and called us names when we politely explained our disappointment. He told us he was living in the property and had left to stay in a hotel the night we arrived and he clearly just left all his food, tools and extension cords laying all over and never even tried to clear out the fridge or freezer. We were forced to find alternative accommodations late night after arrival. We literally did not check in or stay and now the owner is harassing us and telling us we will be charged damages?!? THE worst experience ever and VRBO customer service isn’t doing anything about it either despite the fact that all reviews from past guests report the exact same problems and we couldn’t stay at the property. We did not get a refund and we are being harassed by this owner. Like others have said - if you want to enjoy your vacation to Sun Valley, please avoid this property and Owner Joe, at all costs! Joe doesn’t have one single positive review! He is hostile and rude while he takes your money, even when you don’t stay and then he continues to harrass you after you’re gone.

Our condo was in a great place for our family reunion to access activities for all ages; namely, bike paths, swimming, easy to get to other Elkhorn village condos where relatives were staying and meeting for dinner. Our host kindly bought us a nice BBQ grill to use before we arrived. The condo current remodeling as mentioned in the Condo description will add to the inside update of painting with lighter colors, ceiling fans for fresh air, lighter colored window curtains opening to view outside, and new carpets and bed covers. It would be nice to see the finished remodel and update. We could see your efforts. Thank you for quickly answering our questions, adding the nice grill to enjoy our guests, and a fair price. The finish of remodeling will greatly improve and lighten up the decor. Thank you.
