We were steps from the beach, the neighborhood was quiet, shopping was close, and the property management team were communicative and responsive! EVERYTHING we needed was there, if we didn't have it! We went through VRBO once before, so we're two-for-twp now!

Our family of 4 (including 2 young adults 20 and 18 yrs old) absolutely loved the house. The bedrooms and bathrooms are on the smaller side but there is plenty of space in the living, dining rooms and kitchen… and the outside area is fantastic. The pool is huge, perfect for swimming and playing:) The house is well appointed, we cooked several days and everything we needed was there. The proximity to the beach is also a delight, a few minutes walk in a mostly shaded area before getting to the sand. We made great memories at the Octopus Oasis:)

The pool is fantastic. Location is fantastic. House needs some work; it seems neglected. No place to store clothes that cannot hang. Has a lot of potential. We stay at HHI twice a year, this was our first time in this house, and I was disappointed with the home itself.

We loved this property! The location was idea. Close enough to shopping and dining but not on the crowed beach. A short walk to the beach way terrific.

First and foremost, our family had a great time staying at the Octopus Oasis! We loved the heated pool and hot tub, and the close proximity to the beach, bike paths, and shopping. It was a great place for our family to escape the frozen northland of Minnesota, that we call home. That said, we felt there were a few things that could be improved upon to make this place even better. First, hang real curtains over the windows, preferably blackout curtains in the bedrooms. Next, have the outdoor shower plumbed to provide both hot and cold water, instead of just cold. Lastly, and probably least important, but a nice touch that we have enjoyed at almost every other property that we have stayed at, provide either a few Keurig pods or a small container of coffee so that travel weary adults can enjoy a cup or two without first having to make a trip to the store. All that said, we would not hesitate to stay here again. It was a great place to stay on our very first trip to South Carolina!

Our family of 5 (3 boys - 13/11/8yrs) loved this property. The outdoor pool and hot tub were just as described and pictured. The hot tub heat did not take long to come up to temperature. We did not heat the pool but we were able to go in on warm, sunny days. The location is perfect! Just a short walk to the amazing beach for sunrise and all day hanging out. We saw crabs, sand dollars, jellyfish and starfish. The Colgory shops are just down the road with fun ice cream and souvenir options. There was so much to do just in this location. The house meet our needs. It had plenty of towels and an arrival welcome gift. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Walking distance to everything we wanted to do. We went in January so it was pretty cool out but the pool was perfectly heated

The property was fantastic! Very clean inside and out. The pool and outside area were fantastic. It was very convenient to coligny park and to beach access. We also rented bicycles and that is a must from now on. The only complaint if any would be the room sizes are a bit small with almost no storage but that’s getting super picky. We would recommend 10 out of 10 to stay here!

This vacation rental had the best location! You were a 5 minute walk from the beach and a 5 minute walk from Coligny Plaza, where everything is! The pool was super exceptional and a must with the heat!

House was very clean and only a 2 minute walk from the beach! Close to the bike trails and Coligny and on a quiet street. Very comfortably fit the 9 of us and will be looking to rent again!

We decided on a last minute family vacation and found this place and thought it was too good to be true. The house exceeded our expectations, it was wonderful. The short distance to the beach and to Coligny Plaza was amazing and the pool on the property was so much bigger than other beach rentals we’ve been to. We will definitely be booking again.

The property and location was great! There was a ton of supplies at the house for everything. including beach gear. We had a wonderful time!

We really enjoyed this property as our chosen place for our vacation in Hilton Head. The house was spacious and a kitchen that was stocked with everything you needed. The backyard was a pleasant place to spend private-fun time with your family.

Absolutely loved this place. The pool was amazing, such a great location to the beach and coligny. There were two families and 2 grandparents and this place fit everyone perfect. Loved the little touches like the popcorn, the coffee, the beach bags, pool toys and beach equipment. Only small thing was some of the cleaning could’ve been better, but the management was sooo on top of it and offered to send them back out (i declined, since i could just as well toss a couple things in the wash and wipe the sticky spots on the floor and in the fridge…not a huge deal)

Well stocked kitchen - appliances, pots, dishware etc.. Outdoors was Corn Hole, plenty of seating and for the beach trips there were chairs, umbrella and a beach cart supplied to carry it all. The pool was excellent. Very large with area for swimming and a "kiddie" area by the spa for the little ones. Very short walking distance to the beach and also Coligny shopping area.

We planned to visit the Octopus Oasis, in the light of Covid and not knowing what would be open. We were presently surprised to find a small part of Hilton Head Island where we could simply relax and not be hassled by hotel-like properties. We all travel a good bit for our work/businesses and wanted something more private and to be amongst ourselves. Octopus Oasis turned out to a lucky find in that end. The property is tucked into an older and quieter part of Hilton Head Island with a privacy fence surrounding the property, which delivers to its name, the property is secluded from the neighbors and provided room for us to “hangout”, lounge around the pool, play corn hole, and rest between golfing. The home is located such that it has an easy walk via quiet streets to both the oceanfront as well as the local shopping areas (restaurants, grocery, ice cream and coffee shops, etc). The house is located about 400 yards to the beach to the east and about 450 yards to the local shopping area to the south. I cannot say much about dinning out as we made our own meal more often than not…we did order pizza the first day from Papa John’s and that was a complete failure….took one bite and threw it away. The kitchen has everything we needed to make our own meals both simply and complex. I would recommend bringing paper plates, even though there is a dish washer and plenty of plates in each house…I am not a fan of clean up. Would I go back to Octopus Oasis?…YES. The location was ideal, and the patio/pool was the hook. I am thinking of getting my elderly folks to visit in the Fall as they do not do stairs well anymore and the property is a ranch without any stairs. Golf Note: The houses location let us get in and out quickly to each of the courses….look at a HHI map to understand this…some of the homes are buried back in developments that take 10-15 just to get out of. It seems that most of the folks there play early (before 10). We played twilight rounds most times for half the price on nearly empty courses with ideal weather conditions (high 70s, partly sunny with a breeze). Most courses seemed to be in a “worn” condition I am guessing it from all the golf rounds that take place the prior several months as it’s the end of the high season there. I am also a Midwest golfer, so my standards to course conditions are higher than most southern courses
