We had a great stay . Great communication with the owner , good activities surrounding the location and it was a well needed vacation spot .

Condo was very clean. Everything we needed was there. Close to the pool. Kids got to feed carrots to the deer.

We loved our stay it had everything we needs for a 6 day stay we really love the deer our daughter loves feeding them from hand the deer loves the vanilla sugar wafers we enjoyed the pool and game room also this was our first mountain trip and we very much enjoyed it it snowed 3 days while we were there we loved the mile high bridge and the tweetsie railroad we would definitely stay in this area again

My family and I had a great time! Condo was very clean and updated while still holding vintage cabin vibes. The beds are VERY comfortable and the location is only a 5 min drive to the Beech Mt parking lots. Only downside is the shared pool and jacuzzi are outdated and a little dirty. Overall great condo and great hosts!

Amazing time! Everything you needed in a “Home” away from home. I loved how close we were to Beech Mountain Resort as well as neighbouring trails. Enjoyed the stay and the overall coziness that was provided within the home.

We enjoyed our stay. It was clean, updated and decorated nicely. The owners were easy to get in touch with helpful with suggestions for activities for the kids. My kids enjoyed the snow and they went sledding and tubing for the first time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! My daughter made friends with the local deer. She literally had deer eating out of her hands. We were located next to the games and pool and hot tub. All of which we enjoyed. The owner was attentive for anything we needed. Although the house & kitchen were well stocked. We will surely be back to enjoy this wonderful place!

Enjoyed our stay at Beech Slapped. Kids enjoyed the deer encounters, bunk beds and games. Had to pay $1 to play the air hockey and games in the common room which was surprising but did not have anything to do with host. Nice property, no major issues.

The condo was as advertised. Had everything we needed for a short get away to the mountains. Thank you for letting us stay and we would definitely rent this condo again.

This place was great. The host communicated with us very well before our stay and answered all my silly questions. She gave us excelle t recommendations on other places to visit. We were a group of 7 that stayed in the summer to visit Tweetsie Railroad. The cabin was very well stocked with all kinds of little perks and extras that you didnt even know you needed or wanted !

Great location for skiing at Beech Ski Resort (our reason for the stay).
Host family was communicative throughout. Home was clean and comfortable.
The only thing to note is the driveway. If you come in Winter, and it’s just snowed, or is icy, you’ll need AWD to get up the hump, so plan accordingly

We choose this chalet because of gas fireplace. However the chimney isn’t vented. The downstairs immediately filled with fumes from the propane/natural gas; despite opening the window a crack for cross ventilation. (We have a ventless fireplace at home. We know how they work.) Immediate headaches and had to shut off the beautiful fireplace. And prop open the doors to air it out.
The driveway into the neighbor was not treated for ice. Despite having a 4x4 truck, we were fishtailing & then slide down the hill backwards.
We had to park on road below the cabin, hike up, the snow banked hill, carrying all our gear, groceries & luggage. Exhausting. Kids were tired. We were all starving, cold, wet & frustrated!
Other than these 2 incidents. The chalet was very nice, clean. Large table perfect for meals. The kitchen has plenty of counter space. Cupboards are well stocked. Two large soup pots were perfect. Beds comfortable. (Microwave needs replacing.)

Very nice property in a great location. Only a couple minutes from the ski slopes. Community pool, hot tub and game room were enjoyable for our family. Communication from the host was excellent. I'd recommend it!

Our family of 4 + grandparents had such a great stay here! The host has so many nice touches like labels on kitchen drawers and cabinets; hot chocolate, coffee, popcorn, games…it was a lovely stay! And so close to the mountain for skiing - a quick trip in the car and you are parking at Beech Mtn. We loved the pool/hot tub and game room option within steps. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks!

We had a great stay. The townhome was comfortable and cozy. We appreciated all the little touches like labels in the kitchen, puzzles/games for the kids. Great location!

My husband and I rented this unit to go skiing with our grandchildren, who were staying in another unit in the complex. It was beautifully appointed, many extras and all the comforts of home. Can't beat the convenience to the slopes or the town and the indoor pool was a hit with the youngsters. The owner was very responsive and helpful with all our inquiries ahead of our stay.

The unit was very clean and well equipped. I was especially happy with how helpful Heather, the property contact was. She answered all of my questions and requests promptly. The unit was also very close to the ski resort. Less than a 5 minute drive. You could walk but I wouldn’t recommend it. There are no sidewalks. I would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our summer stay at beech mountain. It was great to have plenty of space for our family. The attic fan helped cool the upstairs off really fast.
Our kids really enjoyed the pool/game area and feeding the deer out of their hands each morning & evening. We had hoped to ride the ski lift but didn't check days/hours soon enough, so we missed out. Plenty of hiking and waterfalls within an hour drive. We also really enjoyed grandfather mountain, Fred's merchantile and the Mast general store.

Wonderful Stay!
We had a really good time. Heather was very responsive to any questions we had. We especially liked the fact that it was kid-friendly. There were toys, games and even plates and silverware for kids. It is very close to Beech Mountain Ski Resort where we watched the fireworks.

We spent 2 days skiing and snowboarding at Beech and were so glad to only be 2 minutes drive away to the condo. The hot tub was amazing to soak in after the long days. Beds were comfortable and loved the fireplace. Highly recommend visiting Fred's for breakfast and Pete's for coffee, all only a 2 minute drive away. Will definitely be staying again.

The unit was nice and updated. If you are choosing it to use the pool is is not so great and the hot tub doesn't work. Over all I recommend the unit as it was nice.

There weren't many other guest the week we were there, so it was almost like having a private pool. The property owners were great and responded to any questions right away.

The week were were there, the temps were 99 to 100 at home in GA, but at the condo we were enjoying highs of 75. With the main fan on we were all sitting under blankets at night & enjoying the gas fireplace.
There is also plenty to do outside the property. We visited Grandfather Mountain, the Apline Roller coaster, gem mining, fishing, hiking, & more. It was truly a fun an relaxing week. We hope to head back up soon.

If wanting to be close to other areas beyond the mountain, not the place for you. With that being said there is a cute little town called banner elk about 10 mins down the mountain with little shops and eateries. We really enjoyed our stay and the host is exceptional. She responds very quickly and is extremely helpful. Despite the driving time from place to place other than the mountain this is a wonderful getaway 😀

Rustic and Clean
The property was located close to the general store and restaurants. It was incredibly clean. Loved that the cabinets were labeled with tags that explained what appliance or kitchen tool was housed in there. The owners were quick to return an email with ANY question that we had.
Overall it was fantastic!
