A clean, comfortable, nicely appointed and equipped, and well located home away from home. It has a classic Craftsman charm. Elizabeth is an excellent host; we had an excellent stay.

Lovely property but needs updating to the pictures shown Not as accurate as portrayed. Cleanliness needs to be improved …. Coffee pot was full from previous guests and turned into a ugly science project, dirty towels in washer and towels left hanging in master bedroom (weren’t sure if they were cleaned and left to dry or what … a few had stains so we weren’t sure and left them alone), dusty overall and bedspreads need a solid cleaning. Paying a VRBO cleaning fee on top of all the other charges raises expectations for cleanliness Nice yard but could use a strong landscaping.

We visited during our school’s fall break. We had a great stay at this house! We visited the USS Kidd and went on a swampy adventure. Nice place to stay!

We truly felt at home in this lovely cottage. The owner’s communication was amazing and we had everything we needed. The location was very convenient and safe (we were concerned since we had never been to BR before)- but we could not have asked for a better experience as we dropped off our daughter for her first year at LSU and only wish it wasn’t already booked for our next planned trip back to visit! Thanks Elizabeth!! We will be back!

Great little bungalow home, in a very pretty active neighborhood. Walking distance to some really cool places to eat and or grab a drink... also pet friendly!!! So are many of the local establishments, close to the home. Will definitely look to repeat a stay, if my travels bring us back this way.

We have used VRBO for years, and have never had a property that was so completely furnished, accurately described, and more than met our expectations. This is in the heart of a historic district, and we walked everywhere—to coffee shops, bookstores, restaurants, even the barber. Close to getting on the Interstate and main thoroughfares within Baton Rouge. Jack and Elizabeth, the owners, have done a wonderful job of restoring this quaint bungalow, and were very attentive to our needs. We’d give this a 10 star rating if that were available.

We are talking about coming back next year. We were able to park two cars off of the street with ease. Kitchen allowed us to cook two meals. TV in each room so kids could play their video games. Plenty of bath and kitchen towels. Highly recommend.

The Mid-City Bungalow was more than we expected. The chic decor and character of the home made my family and I feel comfortable and at home. It was clean, spacious and very enjoyable. We enjoyed being centrally located to near by restaurants, stores and LSU campus. Elizabeth was very responsive and welcoming. Great experience! We will definitely stay again.

We were in town for a game. The house was perfect and well equipped for our group of women. We were not there long enough to enjoy all of the amenities it had to offer.

This home is cozy, close to so many delicious restaurants, clean, quiet & peaceful. The only thing missing was our family dog, however the drive from NC & college move-in would have been to much for him. The decor in the home was lovely & super calming! The owner was readily available and quick to address a change in rental days due to move-in date change for our Tiger. Will be hoping to stay here again in the future. Thank you for sharing your home on VRBO.

Great central location and that is extremely comfy - it was a great home base for our house hunting experience. It has its quirks, but all in all was perfect for our family of adults, kids, and furkids. The outdoor space is fantastic and the beds are comfy.

Mid-City Gem
Great central location and that is extremely comfy - it was a great home base for our house hunting experience. It has its quirks, but all in all was perfect for our family of adults, kids, and furkids. The outdoor space is fantastic and the beds are comfy.

This is a nice home with large bedrooms and comfortable mattresses. The decor is very nice and the hostess is quite responsive. You might want to know that the "master bath" is not inside the bedroom but outside in the hallway with a small shower. There were nice little extras like Christmas decor and coffee.
