Property was the perfect size for our family and centrally located as a jumping off point for our hikes in Pisgah and jaunts into Brevard. Carol was so thoughtful and welcoming.

The cottage was tucked away in a beautiful garden area, but still so close to all the local attractions.
Very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay very nuch!

Carol’s gift of hospitality is evident throughout the house and yard! She went over and beyond to make our stay perfect. She even loaned us chairs and a picnic blanket to watch the Fourth of July fireworks!

This is a delightful cottage for two people. It is close to downtown Brevard and was in superb condition and cleanliness.
Our host, Carol, was excellent at communicating with us.
I would definitely recommend this property to any couple wishing to visit Brevard!

My 16 year old son and I enjoyed our week in the cottage. It was the perfect size for us. It was nicely equipped with everything we needed to cook and enjoy our stay. The location is quiet but also a short walk to downtown. Highly recommended!

I walked into town everyday for dinner, coffee.
A tiny bit smaller than what I expected from pictures. A touch. Nice screened porch for summer. I visited mid winter. Wonderful host.

This was the ideal place for my sister and me to stay when we visited Brevard. Very clean and comfortable 2 bedroom with everything we needed. It was close enough to walk into town but far enough out to be private and peaceful.

This was a wonderful place for my wife and me to stay, as we traveled to the mountains to see the beautiful fall colors which we had not seen for many years. Carol was a great host and very kind. The positive reviews by previous guests were entirely accurate.The property is very clean and reasonably priced. It's in a great location very close to downtown Brevard (a less than five minute drive). We'd definitely stay again.

If you enjoy hiking, small town friendliness and the beauty of the mountains and waterfalls this is the place to visit.

This cottage was perfect. The location was ideal for downtown and the wedding venue we attended. It was a 3 day event and being so close to everything made it so much nicer. The hostess was very pleasant and offered any assistance if needed. We plan to visit the area again at some point.

We were delighted with this rental. The guest house was located in a charming setting flanked by flower beds everywhere. Not only was the house extraordinarily clean...but our hostess had left more amenities than we had ever encountered in other rentals. The screened-in porch was another plus. We have already recommended this property to other friends.

The Cottage was CLEAN and just as the listing stated! A prefect place for short and/or long stays. Many extras provided in kitchen and bath! Games and books were also available. It was quiet at the Cottage and is under a 10 minute walk to downtown Brevard in a nice neighborhood. Communication with Carol was great and I appreciated the detailed email regarding check-in/out, directions, etc. I enjoyed the screened in porch in the mornings! A very pleasant stay and Host!

We depended on the reviews to make our decision about where to stay for our hiking trip to the Pisgah and can join all the others who rated it 5 stars. The description of the cottage is accurate. The cottage was clean with many thoughtful amenities. Carol was a great host, responding when we needed her but giving us the privacy we wanted. We will come again.

My niece and I take a semi annual trip to the NC mountains to a winery where we are club members. We have always stayed in the town where the winery is but decided to change up and visit other towns. The house was very nice and accommodating us perfectly. Close to town. We will definitely be coming back!

We enjoyed our stay at the sunshine cottage. It felt like a second home for us and to mention Carol was a wonderful and a sweet host. Would highly recommend this place for a stay. We are taking a lot of wonderful and awesome memories!!!! Would come back for sure👍

The house was perfect for our family of 3! Carol even left some toys for my 7 y.o. daughter. The house was exceptionally clean (I'm picky with cleaning) and we felt home all the time. The mattress is awesome, we slept very well. The location is great, less than 5 minutes driving from Brevard downtown, still a very quiet location. Carol is very sweet and nice, and was available for us all the time. We'll certainly want to stay in Sunrise Cottage again when coming back to Brevard!

My wife and I stayed at Carol's place in Brevard for 14 days. The house sits back from the street so no street noise even when sitting in the screen porch, which is nice. The space is well laid out and perfect for 2-4 people. The house was clean with a kitchen that had some extras that you would have in your own home like: plastic wrap, containers/lids, etc. The area is quiet. It was easy to spend 14 days there.
Carol lives onsite in the main house. Carol offered replacement sheets and towels after the first 1 week. She also gave us wonderful restaurant and hiking recommendations. It was a pleasure staying there.

Great location and stay for what wr needed. The living room furniture could have been a little more comfortable (a small sectional couch would be perfect in that room).
