My family of 2 grandparents, 4 adults and two young kids (5 & 3) had a wonderful time at Michaela's house! The property was clean and comfortable for everyone and offered enough space for us to hang out together or for folks to escape on their own. The location was perfect as we also made frequent trips between the house and the beach. Michaela was also very communicative throughout our stay. I would highly recommend staying here!

We stayed for a week in June 2024 and really enjoyed our family vacation at Sunset beach! First time visiting Sunset beach and we will definitely be back ! The house was beautiful and stocked with everything you need !

What a wonderful stay and beautiful home. The house is spotless, well equipped and perfect for multiple couples. The beds were super comfortable, loved the round dining room table for enjoying conversations and laughs over meals and the deck on back of the house is a slice of heaven. The owner is attentive and a delight to engage with. We would absolutely stay at this home again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Grouper Therapy was an ideal vacation home for us because of the wonderful, large deck and having two bedrooms on the main level. The home was very clean and well equipped with all the kitchen utensils that one would need. Communication with the owner and manager of the property was excellent. We had two dogs with us, and there was ample yard space for them, and they loved the deck as much as we did. The location of the house was close to grocery stores and restaurants. The walk to the beach was on a boardwalk so there was little sand to track in the house. The beach was very wide and easy to walk to or bike on with flat sand. We saw deer from the deck the first day. The house had very comfortable furniture and beds and lots of TVs and games good for a rainy day. It was a delight to stay here and thank the owners for having us in their beautiful home.

There were six of us, and we had plenty of room to spread out. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. We used one bedroom as an office for work as needed. The dining room table is large, and the outdoor porch is fantastic. We ate lunch on the porch every day and had cocktails before dinner there as well. The walkway to the beach is very convenient. We had a great stay!

The amenities in the home left nothing to chance. From cooking to relaxing by the gas fireplace, everything you might need was provided.

We absolutely loved staying in this beautiful rental for Christmas! The home has been well cared for, very clean and is well stocked. It felt much more like home than a rental with nice bedding and towels. Layout is perfect for large family that wants to spread out. Fantastic communication with owners. 10/10 rental!

Spacious large quiet upstairs bedrooms and baths. Our dogs loved the bathroom upstairs. They felt at home because it was so cool and quiet. Our grandchildren were so loud paying games and watching TV downstairs, we did not hear anything. Also right at the beach.

The house was in a great location and the layout was perfect. The host was great and answered all questions promptly. The only thing that I would note is that the house list 6 bathrooms. The listing must be including the 2 outdoor showers as 2 bathrooms because the house only has 4 bathrooms inside.

Have rented lots of beach houses, but think this may be the best. Very nicely furnished with new appliances, and comfy beds.
And the view is amazing. Looks directly out to the dunes and the ocean. Another plus is Sunset Beach…it is one of the best beaches.
Well maintained and wide enough to walk even at high tide.

We were in need of an opportunity to relax at the beach and grouper therapy was just what we were looking for. Loved the property, it was just as advertised. Will plan on staying again in the near future.

This is such a fabulous house and location. We stayed for two weeks and had family join us - some for the whole time and some for a few days. Everyone loved the combination of private bedroom suites and generous common areas. We cooked local seafood in the well appointed kitchen, played cards at the big dining table after dinner, and walked to the beach (or, in the rain, looked at it from the covered deck). The beach is huge with a gentle slope, not too crowded, and having the access path right there was so convenient. The host and manager were friendly and helpful. We'd absolutely return -- this was a perfect stay!

Grouper Therapy looked just like the photos but was even more stunning in person. To be able to sit in the large open living room, with screen doors, and see and hear the ocean, was pure heaven! The bedrooms were spacious and decorated nicely; the ensuite private bathrooms were so great for privacy. The kitchen was stocked with all that we needed: drip coffee machine and a Keurig, large pots for steaming shrimp, plenty of service ware and new appliances and a wine cooler. Will be thrilled to stay here again!!

My family decided to celebrate my birthday at this beautiful oceanfront home! The updates were amazing, the decor and color scheme were so pretty, and the small things like luggage racks and hangers in the bedrooms were so helpful. And how nice to have sheets and towels provided! The view of the dunes and ocean from the large deck was the best part. Such a beautiful place to relax and gather as a family!

My family has been coming to Sunset Beach for 40 years, we used to own a cottage here. Once we sold the cottage we have bounced around to different houses on the island. Grouper Therapy is hands down my favorite cottage that we have stayed in. The deck is amazing and the whole house is beautiful and comfortable. Being able to bring our dogs was the icing on the cake! I imagine this will be a tough house to book in no time. Get it if you can.

This beautiful home is perfectly laid out for family style living and great sleeping/bathroom arrangement. We are big cooking folks and admired the quality cookware and overall kitchen appointments. The outdoor decking is amazing, and the ocean view is a treasure. We did not want to leave. I thank the owners for creating such a welcoming space.

We enjoyed 3 weeks at this delightful property on Sunset Beach. House is beautiful and accommodated our family nicely. Enjoyed cooking in the fully stocked kitchen. Furniture is comfortable and plentiful. The views from the back deck were amazing! Sunset Beach and Bird Island are simply gorgeous. Look forward to returning!

Had a great week at this house on Sunset Beach! The weather was perfect at the beginning of the week and we got to ride out Hurricane Ian at the end of the week. There were 8 of us and the house fit us perfectly. Great house and location… didn’t want for anything… would definitely return in the future!

We fell in love with Sunset Beach and this property. The location is perfect. Walkable to the small shops on the island but also a short drive from lots of local places to eat. It was so nice to have bedrooms with their own bathrooms. The kitchen and living room were extremely comfortable and we enjoyed cooking meals and then sitting on the deck in the evenings. We can’t wait to come back!

The house is oceanfront, but the house is a bit of a walk to the beach so just be aware of that. Overall, it was a wonderful, relaxing time. Thanks for sharing this beautiful spot with us!

Perfect for a Family Vacation
My family stayed here for our yearly beach trip. We could not have asked for anything better. The updates/remodel look amazing. The back deck was our favorite. The house is located right beside the entrance to the beach. I would love to stay here again!
